The rainbow flag was developed as a symbol of LGBT pride, by a mate of Harvey Milk's back in the '70s. But LGBT pride is more than a symbol, or a defence mechanism, or an ideal we're working towards. It's a real, genuine and current feeling that persists through prejudice.”
