𝖂𝖆𝖗𝖓𝖎𝖓𝖌𝖘:  Hurt/No Comfort, Angst fest lmao, Bucky’s kinda a dick in this one (so for all the ppl who don’t like reading Bucky in a negative light, this isn’t for you babe. *I’m ppl), The reader is implied to be chubby/plus size, slight body insecurity, but I think reader girl bossed in this (maybe it’s just me), AGAIN THERE IS NO FLUFF HERE ABSOLUTELY NONE. 

“You ruined me” You glared at him “You ruined me, Bucky Barnes��� It’s been 2 weeks and 3 days since Bucky broke up with me. The audacity of that man. I don’t know where it went wrong. Was it when he started coming home late? Or when he started sleeping on the couch? There were too many instances to count. I guess the straw that broke the camel’s back was when he left his phone on the counter, Sharon’s contact notification glowed brightly. “We should stop this” God I thought for once I wasn’t an idiot, but once again my ego was shattered. That fucker told me he loved me, all of me. From my smile, to my curves, to my thighs. And yet he still went for miss perfect. “Baby–” The asshole spoke. “Baby? Seriously Barnes? Trying to soften me up? We’re SO past that!” I laugh incredulously. Fighting the tears welling in my eyes. “You promised me! You dick! You promised me! You said you looked past this–” gesturing to my body “I thought you saw me for me, Bucky!” He looked embarrassed. Good. “Baby, can we please not do it here?” He looked around the common room we were standing in. The place occupied by the team who were in awe and disbelief on what’s going on. This bitch “Oh! You’re embarassed? Good, let them see your shame for the lying, cheating piece of shit that you are!” Gasps are echoed throughout the room. The woman in question as well, finally, looking away in shame. Bucky looked helpless. The severity of the situation finally hitting him like a freight train. “Please, it was a mistake. Yes, I’m a huge asshole for hurting you. You have all the right. I love you. What I did will haunt me for the rest of my life and I’m sorry–” tears flowing freely from his eyes at this point “I’m so so sorry” The sight before you could’ve made you fold easily. Bucky on his knees, grovelling. Your Bucky who held you when your friends abandoned you. Your Bucky who drove you to McDonald’s at 3am to get nuggets. Your Bucky who dropped everything just to go home and take care of you at your lowest. For a second you thought that everything happening at the moment was just a bad dream. He would never hurt you… But he did. His cries snapped you back to reality. “I broke up with you because I was a coward, I thought I could fix myself and come back to your life a better man– I should’ve told you sooner” All I could do is stare at him, emotionless and numb. What does one even do in this situation? The (once) love of your life, who has hurt you beyond any comprehension is grovelling at your feet. Should I say something? Should I lash out at him? Should I make him get up? It was all becoming too much In the end, I just turned my heel and left. The echoes of his increasing sobs and pleas following me. Good.

𝕹𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖘: This may or may not be based on real-life... Oops. The angst gods were coursing through me ngl. I haven't written in months so this is exciting. The depression is still there and thriving but I'm not gonna let it stop me from doing what I love :>. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this. Hopefully, I get to write more Bucky stuff (I promise there will be more fluff. God knows this man deserves it). Anyway, hope y'all have a great day/night! xoxo

A Quick Discussion

Hey ya’ll.

I know this isn’t the usual post, but before anything I’d like a small check up on ya’ll. How you guys doing? timeline’s been shit ngl.

Okay, uhm how should I start this... Shit’s been hard lately. I thought I was doing better but everything’s gone south again. 

My schedule of posting here has been very erratic from the very start and that’s because I never thought I’d be doing this. 

Tumblr has always been a coping mechanism for me and I’d never thought I’d actually post stuff but here I am? haha

But honestly I’ve always loved writing, it’s a way of escaping and just freely thinking your own thoughts. It’s a bonus that people read it and actually enjoy it.

That’s why I feel bad when I don’t continue the hundreds of drafts I have cause first of, I have been putting out posts about ‘continuing’ and ‘revising’ stories and second, I like the drafts I made and just leaving them to rot sucks.

Depression sucks. It sucks when people just can’t understand, but again, we have to understand them and be patient. 

These past weeks I have gone through experiences I never thought I’d experience but that’s life I guess.

I’m glad mental health has been talked about much more but there’s still so much to unpack. And idk if this is just me but now it’s being discussed more, there’s more stigma and backlash against it. 

Idk... world’s been pretty shitty lately and the fact that we may enter catastrophe in the near future is just adding on to all our existential dread...

Okay I may have gotten too dark there, sorry.

Anyways, I’m not leaving Tumblr, I love writing and I love you guys. I just wanted to clarify some things, esp to the really annoyed people waiting for updates. Dw I understand, I get super frustrated too.

My ending note here is that whatever you’re going through, take your time. Try and still enjoy the things you love even though you feel like shit. And remember that you’re valid and even though you feel alone in the world, there are people out there who will love and accept you wholeheartedly, without question. I’m one of them :)

(P.S. I’ll try to update my stories :> and I may have a moon knight one bubbling in a draft but we’ll see)

Morning Star

Bucky x Fem!Reader

Warnings: None, just some tooth rotting fluff I guess and... kids...

“Alright kids! Single file line please!” A woman said over some rowdy children at the entrance of the compound. ‘These must be the kids Tony told us to welcome’ you thought.

Every year, Tony opens the compound to kids all over the country. Its kind of a field trip staple at this point. This year Tony chose Bucky and me to welcome and tour the the kids around.  “You ready, y/n?” Bucky asks. "I guess so”, I mean they’re just children right?

“Okay kids let’s greet our tour guides a good morning!” “Good morning!” all the kids screamed. Okay, this is going to fun. “Hi kids, I’m Agent Barnes, some of you might know me as the Winter Soldier. Those names feel a little to formal for me so you guys can call me Bucky-” “Hi Bucky” The kids said in unison making you and Bucky chuckle a bit.

“-And this lovely being beside me-” Bucky added a wink making you roll your eyes “-Is Agent y/l/n, you can call her y/n but you may also know her as-” “MORNING STAR!” a boy exclaimed

“Adrien!” The woman behind them, I’m assuming is their teacher, scolded the boy, Adrien. “No, it’s alright” you state as you crouch in front of the now, sheepish boy.  “Hi there, so I’m guessing you’re Adrien”  The boy meekly nodded. “It seems like you were pretty excited awhile ago?” a lilt to your tone. “-And why is that?”  “I-I’m your biggest fan” the boy slightly perked up. “Really?” 

“Really! I-I mean from what I saw you’re super fast, like blinding fast! Like you’re teleporting! a-and whenever you run you glow! like a firefly!” the boy cheerfully exclaimed.  “Wow Adrien, I’m quite flattered with what you said. Honestly I don’t think my powers are as cool as you said they were” You smiled aghast, as the other kids laughed at your dramatics.  “Excuse me, Ms. y/n” a girl chimed in making you turn to her. “Yes?” “Why is your name morning star?” she questioned “It’s quite a long story actually... but have you ever heard the story of the angel, Lucifer?” Some of the kids nodded “Well the story goes that one day god banished Lucifer from heaven since he defied his plan. This made Lucifer a  “Fallen Angel”.  “Were you banished then?” Another kid piped in “No she wasn’t-”  Bucky said, somewhat coming back to wherever he went. “-the reason we call her that is because just like Lucifer, she fell from the heavens.”  “Why not just call her angel then?” Adrien questioned as he looked to Bucky for answers. “Well we do, sometimes, but we thought ‘Angel’ was too common for a code name. So we used the other name of Lucifer, ‘Morning Star’, instead as her code name.” “Oh!” the kids exclaimed “Plus, they said that Lucifer was the most beautiful angel in heaven” Bucky added. At, the kids giggled and ‘oohed’, one of them even whispering the kissing song.  “They did not!” you shoved Bucky slightly on the shoulder, flustered 

Bucky only grinned at you making you roll your eyes again “Whatever, Prince Charming.” You jabbed at him.

“Okay kids, we’re gonna start our tour so please pick a buddy and stay together. We are first going to the common area where we might meet our other teammates!” You exclaimed making the kids excited Meanwhile Bucky just stared at you, content with how happy you were.

Writer’s Note: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND THAT’S A WRAP. This one shot is a little snippet of a new series i’m making which is called ... drum roll please...  ‘File: Fallen Angel’!  EEEEEK i’m super excited for you guys to see it!!! :))) ALSO a small notice. Some of my stories like ‘Strangers in the Night’ will be taken down for rewriting (I can’t help myself but feel CRINGE whenever I look at it) and there will be a new look for my stories (this oneshot being an example) ALSO I’m very sorry for the weird schedule. For the first time in quite a while, my inspiration to write has come back and I really want to right full on stories and not just blurbs (also because my life has no sense of direction).  A n y w a y s, Thank you for reading this story and I hope it fuels anticipation for the series >:)) h e h e Any similarities with any other stories are just coincidences! You deadpan stare at Bucky. 

“Oh c’mon, doll. I’m not hiding anything” Bucky is now full on pouting. “When have I ever lied to you, hmmm?”

“Well from this distressed text from Sam saying, and I quote ‘Tin-man was about to go in the café when he looked across the street and full on ran to the other side. AND IT WAS A GREEN LIGHT’. So, care to tell me why you ran across a street when it was a green light?” “Oh- haha, uhm. Sam’s exaggerating it! But before anything I just want to say it was for a good cause and don’t worry no one was hurt and I did not cause any damage.” “Ok that’s good to know... BUT LIKE WHY DID YOU RUN ACROSS-” Meow You stare at Bucky “Seriously?” “HEY! Like what I said it was for a good cause.” Bucky went out the door to retrieve the cat. “It was in the middle of the street, I wasn’t just gonna do nothin’ about it.” He holds up the cat pulling his best puppy dog eyes on you. “What am I gonna do with you, Barnes.” You sighed as you pet the cat.  “You can love me- I mean us” Bucky grins as you groan. “You’re insufferable” You peck his cheek “I love you too” He turns to peck your lips

“Sergeant Barnes, Captain Rogers is requesting everyone to be in the conference room right now.” F.R.I.D.A.Y announced startling the super-soldier who was trying to cover his ears. “give me 5 more minutes” He grumbled turning over. “Sergeant Barnes, Captain Rogers is requesting this urgently” at this Bucky sighed knowing he would earn an earful, “you know Steve’s gonna kill me if I don’t get your ass out of that door right now,” the figure next to him smiled.

 “Wouldn’t he already do that because you’re still here, lying next to me and not getting out of the covers?” Bucky replied turning over to face the figure. “You’re not wrong, soldier” you giggled, scooting closer to him, “well knowing that Stevie is going to give us both a speech on tardiness, why don’t we just-” Bucky then started crawling on top of you while you were laughing trying to get him off you. 

“Bucky stop it we have to go, it might be serious” you tried reasoning with him, “c’mon doll, just a few more minutes” he was now fully focusing on you, observing how you looked at that moment. Noting on how messy your hair was, eyes puffy and tired, and lips plumped with some dried saliva at the corners. He chuckled to himself, even at this state you were the most gorgeous thing he saw. Bucky reached his hand out to tuck a stray strand hanging near your eyes, while you just stared at Bucky with a knowing look.

 You were about to say something until a knock interrupted you. “If both of you don’t get out right now, I will break down this door and carry you both out, decent or not.” Steve said clearly annoyed. You and Bucky were trying your hardest not to laugh, while getting out of the bed. “I think that’s our cue” you said, tying your hair up trying to look more decent. Bucky just smirked at you putting on his shirt “yeah we should go before he actually breaks down the door” You laughed again heading for the door.

It was an extraction mission. There were some files in an abandoned Hydra base that held some important information, S.H.I.E.L.D thinks they might contain important information on other bases and weaponry. Since this was a small mission only a few people were going to be handling this and one of them was Bucky. 

You were nervous for sure you knew he had a better grasp of himself than he had before, the Wakandans made sure of that but you still had this feeling that you might lose him....again. The meeting had ended awhile ago but you still lingered. You were no hero nor enhanced being but you always had this gut feeling something is wrong or somethings gonna go wrong, that was what you were feeling right now, “hey” it was Bucky “hey” 

“You alright?” no you weren’t “yeah” bucky held your hand making you face him “Y/n I know that face, you aren’t okay” you let out shaky breath “I’m just scared Buck, I’m scared that I might lose you again” Bucky tensed at this, he knew he was okay now after his time at Wakanda but the fear of Hydra capturing him again was still there no matter how hard he tries to ignore it, “I know doll, I get scared too but you and I both know that won’t happen, I have Steve with me and I have full control over my brain.” 

you glanced at Bucky “I know I just always get that feeling that they’re gonna take you away from me” tears were forming in your eyes, “oh doll” Bucky pulled you closer to him as you let the tears fall from your eyes “Bucky promise me you will come back to me”   “Doll you know I wou-”   “Bucky please, just promise me you will come back to me” Bucky looked at you tears prickling at his eyes as he looked down at your form, his heart breaking at the sight. He knew he could be taken at any time, he knew Hydra was out there planning to take back their “asset” but for now he knew better than to let that out to you, he knew it will come one day but for now all he could do was hold you closer and promise. Promise that he would come back to you.

The group had arrived at the Hydra base within 2 hours, they were now headed to the lab trying to find the files. “So what happened between you and y/n, awhile ago?” Steve had asked trying to break the silence, Bucky glanced at Steve then sighed “You should have seen her Stevie, she looked so defeated. She was scared that she would lose me and made me promise to her that I would come back. Of course I promised her that but you and I both know Hydra still wants their winter soldier back and that they would stop at nothing to achieve that...” “Buck, I wouldn’t let that happen, y/n knows that too doesn’t she?”     “She does but she also knows that one day it might happen and you won’t be able to stop it.” 

Once Bucky finished they were already in front of the lab. The files were right where the info said it would be, they placed it inside of a secured case and left the lab. As they were walking out of the lab, a bunch of Hydra agents came out of nowhere and started shooting at the group. Steve and Bucky were able to take out most of the guys, then sprinted to the jet. Once the whole group was in the jet they left the base, heading back to headquarters. 

The flight back was silent, everyone was tired and still shocked by the surprise attack. Half way through the flight Steve’s comm went off. “Steve you there?” It was Natasha “Yeah, what the hell Nat, the information said it was abandoned yet there were agents waiting for us outside the lab, ready to fire”  “Steve”  “The group could’ve gotten hurt”  “Steve”  “Why was the information wrong”  “STEVE”  “What”  “How far from HQ are you guys?”  “not that far, why?”  “You need to go faster”  “Nat, what do you mean”  “Steve HQ has been compromised”   “what do you mean?”  “Steve” this time it was Bucky but he wasn’t looking at Steve, he was looking outside the jet. 

When Steve looked out he couldn’t breathe. It was HQ but half of it was burning, with some structure already falling off. Steve quickly landed the jet, briskly unbuckling his the straps and opening the jet. Bucky beat him to it though, running out the jet into the clearing where agents and employees gathered, trying to help the wounded or trying to figure out what was happening but Bucky didn’t care about that, all he cared about right now  was you and if you were safe. 

As he was trying to look for you in the crowd he overheard Natasha and Steve talking “Nat what happened?” “We don’t know, one minute we were doing our jobs the next, a bomb exploded at the east wing” Steve saw Bucky frantically searching through the crowd and he knew exactly who he was looking for. “Nat do you know where y/n is?” Natasha was thinking but her face immediately went pale “After you guys left, she went to storage to get some of her weapons” Steve paled realizing what Nat meant “I haven’t seen her since” 

Steve didn’t waste another second and ran to Bucky. He explained everything to him and they dashed to the rubble. Thankfully the second floor hasn’t collapsed yet, but they had to be quick. Both men started shouting your name hoping for a response but nothing came. Bucky couldn’t lose you, he would never forgive himself knowing that they took you. As he dug through the rubble just to find you he just hoped, hoped to God or whatever being was up there that you weren’t under all these rocks and that you were already in the clearing.

 He stopped holding back tears trying not to think about it, as he was going back to digging Steve called his name. Bucky stopped again facing Steve, he then felt all his fears coming back to him. He felt his heart breaking as he walked to Steve but when he finally saw him his heart fully shattered. In his arms your body, limp and not moving. 

Bucky couldn’t stop shaking as he was handed your body, he fell to his knees as he cradled you. He tilted your head up, getting a better look of you and the evidence that you were in a fight before this, He wiped the streak of blood from your mouth as he started sobbing, “y/n”  “y/n, c’mon wake up doll.”  “hey you gotta wake up for me right now”  “doll”  “DOLL” Bucky wailed as he held you closer. “who did this to you”  “who did this to you!” He kept trying to find a pulse but there was really nothing. “Didn’t I promise you that I would come back, look baby I did. I came back for you” Bucky sobbed “doll you gotta come back to me” Bucky pleaded

“Come back to me”
