MerMay Day 28: Gemini. I must admit when Trolls: Band Together first came out I was super in love with the music, it was literally all I could listen to. MerMay Day 27: Oasis. I love it when fantasy also has some sci-fi elements but it is hard to get a balance there. I still wanna bring more of the fantasy elements up in this piece, what elements would yall recommend I add? I think I should maybe add remnants of a place of worship around the oasis since my original idea was a black mamba mermaid seer that could bless people with visions of the future or blind them with it.

There he is! The Doctor!! I am super happy with this redesign since I feel he looks completely different from Mane Moon, and different character I used to confuse him with all the time in the show. Plus I feel like he looks a bit more fantastical now which would fit the reference to Doctor Who.

MerMay Day 21: Aquarium! I decided to play around with lighting for this one and I'm happy with how it turned out. I'm also working on specifically rendering on certain areas to draw thr eye rather than just going full force everywhere. I must admit a good chunk of the back ground ponies designs in the show felt real lack luster since they shared the same hair model with Rainbow Dash. I decided to add context as to why Big Mac used to be so pushy and ignorant as a teen, he thought if he just put pedal to metal and worked with AJ it would all work out. But AJ never saw his talks of strength as inspiration but rather as a cutting blow, lamenting the strength gap between them and their parents. So the pair would fight until it all came to a boil at the hospital.

MerMay Day 19: Bioluminescent. I had to brush up on the horror thalassophibic bones for this one. Most bioluminescent sea creatures are deep sea ones that lure in prey with their light so I thought I should go all in on that and practice on atmosphere moreso than rendering on this one. Here he is! Everyone's favorite strong farm hand, Big Mac. I decided to darken and subdue his colors but brighten his hair and highlights so he is softer on the eyes.
