Drew Bulan and Haliya (Filipino moon deities) because I was listening to Felip’s new song “Bulan”. Bulan and Haliya are siblings out of 7 moons. Haliya always covers her face but both are said to be extremely beautiful. The serpent god Bakunawa found the moons so beautiful he swallowed 6 of them but was unable to swallow the last moon and he was punished to be a lesser god.

Celebrating Filipino Heritage Month and also Halloween of October, I’ve chosen to draw two mythical creatures from the Philippines again. Here’s Kumakatok and Bungisngis. Bungingis is a large cyclop giant with half of his lips taking up most of its face, they also said that they have two tusks. They have great hearing and loves to eat but are quite dum and can be outwitted. The Kumakatoks always come as one woman and two men, they look like normal human beings but never shows their face. They only come to share the news that one of your housemates is going to die tomorrow and they will leave after never to be found again until the next news of death.
