Happy whenever this finds you. For me it is almost the end of June and the weather is becoming lovely and my morning was blissful. Yes, it was blissful. There was a moment in my morning, of listening to the world around me and breathing in the morning air, and sipping my coffee that I felt what I would call bliss. Just pure being in the moment and all the parts of that moment that were touching me were good. Hold onto those moments... we will need them more and more. Today I felt the pull of my ancestors. I us the Wildwood Tarot by John Matthews and Mark Ryan for this. I drew the Queen of Arrows. This swan does not talk about the bliss I was feeling though. Here she talks about having to cut bonds and cords and find new rivers on which to swim. I find that very interesting, as one of the the thoughts I had while sipping coffee this morning, was about letting go of something that I love but that I no longer save space for. I don't honor this hobby in the same way I used to. Maybe that is what we are talking about. One thing I love about this deck is that each card is given some questions to ponder if it is drawn. This is a great insight into how the authors thought about the cards and the deck helping and being of service to us. The two that stood out to me were: Where do I need to ask for help. And how do I cut through the tangle. I think I need to answer the second before the first. Because in this moment... I don't see the weeds that may be wrapping around my feel. If you would like a reading like this... just for you, you may DM me. My books are open and pricing is in the pinned post. If you support what i do here my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime As always Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. This card was drawn from the Cantigee Oracle. I wasn't really thinking of a specific question this morning. Instead I was drinking my coffee and listening to the sounds of an unseasonably chilly morning. This card seems a representation of that. In the book that comes along with the deck, this card is about pausing and really looking at your life in the here and now. Specifically it is about looking at your situation when you feel stuck. What is life like when you don't feel any momentum? I haven't thought of myself as stuck. More that I have not had the inspiration to drive forward. And then, of course, that leads me to thinking... "drive forward" ... what does that mean. I don't have aspirations like that. My deepest wants are stability and security for me and my family. So what does that look like now, now that I have reestablished my life. For me... this card is also a reminder that roots will grow where I plant them. Where I care for the soil they are in, where I water and prune and tend what comes up. Roots are also within me. This is a good time to think about what the concept of roots means to you. How to you honor yours? Do you see yourself in the network of roots in your community? If you would like a longer reading like this I am currently booking and scheduling. Pricing is in the pinned post on this blog. If you want to support what I am doing here, my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime. Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. For me it is a truly delightful cloudy morning in June. A slow morning, because while I do work my day job, I don't have a lot of other tasks to get done today. I opted to grab my Call of The Morrigan oracle. I think people think of the Morrigan as a big bad scary deity to work with. But I personally find her strict and demanding but always also supporting. She drives me in the correct for me direction, but never at a pace that overwhelms me. Pushes me, yes, but overwhelm...no. Let's take just a minute to talk about how I typed that above sentence before I opened the book that comes with the deck. And the thing I read when I did open the book was "The river is slow moving but not stagnant" which I think is what I was saying in a different way. This card is about breaking from the stagnation. Of taking our troubles to the river, of letting our hair down and letting go. Let the water carry the troubles out to the sea. Let the water wash over you to bring you cleansing. And when you are done, get out and shake off. I had been wondering what sort of spell or ritual or celebration I should do for Litha. Twice in under 24 hours the call of the rivers has spoken to me. It is time to go to the river and throw the rocks of my troubles in. Let the river know them and erase them. If you would like a longer reading, I am currently booking and scheduling now. I have pinned the pricing in the pinned post on this blog. I even have a Litha specific spread. If you would like to support what I do here, my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. For me it is a warm Tuesday morning in June and I did just notice my lavender is blooming. I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Not so much because I have a lot of things that must get done, but rather because I have so many things I want to do. I have so many half finished projects and even more ideas for new ones. I have the surge of creativity in my veins this morning and I was a bit sad that I felt like because I have to work, I could not honor that. But Lavender is always about taking a breath. For me anyway. Lavender is one of those herbs that always has a place in my yard, in my medicine, and at my altar. I did draw this card in reverse, which in this deck (The Herbal Astrology pocket oracle) is about feeling unfocused, or overwhelmed. It is also about what the book calls "lack mentality". I struggle with that. I know in my logic brain that I have abundance. I do. I have what I need, when I need it, and then some. In some ways I am beyond wealthy. I have a loving connected family. I have enough books to be considered a library, and much much more. But because of my past with both poverty and abandonment, that lizard part of my brain (I call him Eunice) sometimes gets greedy. Not for material things. Unless those are books. Eunice often thinks that something is missing, and in that thought, will scramble to fill what is "missing" with random bits of flotsam and jetsam. Nothing of substance. That is my lack mentality. Even though I lack for nothing. Today Lavender is here to remind me to stop and literally smell the flowers. Lavender as an herbal medicine is a nervine and therefor is excellent for calming Eunice. Lavender tea is delightfully soothing. Today is enough. Needs are met. Wants are just that...wants. Today is enough. If you would like a longer reading designed just for you, my books are open and I am scheduling now. I have pinned my pricing list in the top post in this blog. If you support what I do but don't want a reading my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime. DM me with any questions you might have. Also note I am fine with trades. Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you . For me it is the first Monday of the kid's summer break. And that means looking at opportunities for fun while I work from home with the not so little dude. I am using the Cantigee Oracle in part because it just spoke to me this morning. This card is giving me a very Doctor Who feeling and I love that. Doctor Who was a comfort show in my house from as early as the 2nd doctor (Babies... I am ancient in internet terms) Anyway on first look this card really gives the impression of exploration. We never know what lies behind any door. Even the doors we have closed ourselves. Perhaps what was on the other side has left, or has grown, or changed. (This is all that lovely spiritual metaphorical talk...) This card is all about embracing the possibilities. Being open to ALL the things that can happen. This does mean being open to the not so great things that can happen. I know it is really cliche... but sometimes the bad thing is the thing that needed to happen. That doesn't make it less bad. We all know or have been the person who had to go through a nasty break up to find a healthier relationship. Being in a good place now does not erase the bad past, but it should help give us perspective for how to move throught he future. However, this card requires something difficult from us. Trust. Maybe it means to trust that the universe or higher power has your back. But I think much more importantly it asks us to trust ourselves. Trust that in our core, we know not just what we want, but what we need and how to get it. Trusting yourself is often the most difficult task. Especially in these times. If you can tonight, go out and look to the skies. Open your mind and heart to trusting yourself and watch how the doors open. If you would like a longer reading, please reach out. Send me a DM (I will not reach out first, that is not ethical.) Pricing is in the pinned post on this blog. If you would like to support what I do here my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. For me it is early morning early in June. The sky is full of blue and my mind was asking a very specific question. I asked the cards which path I should consider to reconnect me to somethings I was missing. Now, let's take a minute to look at this card. This is the Ace of Arrows (wands) from the Wildwood Tarot. Ace's are about beginnings, about the start of things. And because they are about the START, they are also about the doing. The action part of that. The image on the card can easily be interpreted at paths up or around a hill. The suggestion here that there is no right way to start, just to start. The paths will lead me where I need to go as long as I stay on them. But there is also a hill in this image. This hill is a real hill and the legend around this hill is that if you stand at the top and make a wish that wish will come true. In terms of my question to the cards, this tells me that when the work of getting up the hill is done, I will have the world at my feet. What this tells me is that I need to start with the basic work. Putting one foot in front of the other to get either around the path as it appears, or one foot in front of the other to climb the hill, but I need to put my feet out the door. This message fits so well my question that I know in my heart and my soul that I will be following these instructions. If you would like daily personalized readings for you... there is a pricing list in the pinned post. I am scheduling readings all the time. Just feel free to DM me any questions you have. Please note, I will not respond to requests to dm you. YOU need to DM me. That way I know you are looking for a reading. If you want to support the work I do here without the reading, my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. Here it is the first Monday in June of 2025. I asked the cards (this deck is the Awe Inspired deck and I am loving the general conversations I am having with the deck) what the over all vibe for the week will be. When I do this for myself it is usually a more indepth reading. I will draw more cards or narrow my question. Something like "what is the work vibe this week?" or "what is the vibe with so and so". I personally view the 4 of Wands as one of the most stable cards in all the deck. A table has four legs, and is often made of wood so that is where a lot of that idea is coming from. The stability of sitting at the kitchen table with loving community and friends. How we can find balance and a center through that. This deck the 4 of Wands is celebration. I can see that. For me, celebrations are all about coming together, forming tighter, deeper bonds. The act of celebration brings the actions of stability to the community. On a personal note, I could use so big celebrations. I want to see the joy on people's faces. Even if it is from a distance. I hope this plays out this week. I will be keeping track
Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. For this post it will not matter as this is a post about meditation and meditation knows no time! In one of my very recent posts (maybe the last one) I mentioned I would write up my guided meditations. I want to at least offer you some guidelines or ideas for creating your own. A guided meditation is one in which the meditator is guided through with spoken word. At least that is the meaning I will be using. You can find so many on the internet. Many of them are fabulous. And just like anything else, not all of them are for every person. There are some that I find dangerous for me, there are some with background music that makes me stabby, or maybe I just don't like the voice of the narrator. It can take a bit of time and research to find one that fits your needs in the moment. I promise it is worth it.
Guided meditations are useful when your mind is being difficult. It allows you to give a little attention to the voice walking you through the process. It allows you to submit your mind to the process without having to actively think about the process. I have found that my personal guided meditations are helpful for when my anxiety lizard (Eunice is his name and he is a big ol dick) brain is taking over. It has also been useful to me when I am seeking to connect with ancestors. With a little effort, research and time you can make your own. I have done this and found it very useful. It ensures I know that I have a meditation that will work for me when I need it. I don't have to search for the right one. My own voice is familiar and I know it won't be jarring. I can keep a meditation on my phone at all times.
All you need is a recording device. Most of us have a phone we could use for this task. But any recording device will work.
You will want to know what sort of meditation you will be recording. Are you wanting a relaxing one? One for a specific deity? Something else? If it is for a specific deity, what is the purpose? Connection? What sorts of things (imagery) does the deity like?
Will you want background music? Be sure you can play it and record it over your guiding voice. I have written scripts, and then practiced them so that I can do them smoothly when I record. If you are someone uncomfortable with their own voice... is there someone who you could ask to read the script? To record, find a quiet space where you will not be interrupted. Gather your equipment and set it up. Deep breaths and hit record. Take your time, know there is no right way or wrong way. The goal is to have a recording you can use to walk you through a meditation. If you have editing skills use them. I don't so mine are a little rough around the edges, but that is okay too. Those are just some guidelines, suggestions, etc for making your own personal guided meditations. If you want me to write up my scripts, I could do that. I might even consider recording some for you if you wanted. If you want to support the work I do here, there is a pinned post with my tarot reading pricing. Just DM for scheduling etc. If you just want to support the work without a reading... my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. It is a Thursday in May for me. I asked the AWE Inspired Deck to help me understand where my POWER comes from. I put that word in caps to differentiate it from the idea of strength. Strength and POWER are similar, but to me POWER comes from a deeper place. Strength is about getting through or doing the work, POWER is about the energy we use to do that. I realize that is not making a lot of sense. I hope that it at least gives an idea of how I am applying those words in this context. First thing that I noticed this morning was that Sekhmet has been popping up in my life this week. Maybe that is because that is the sort of POWER I need, or perhaps she is saying that I have yet to find my POWER. In truth, I have spent about an hour this morning reflecting on this. It still feels like I need to ask a slightly different question. What I will do is pull up my guided meditations (I have several I pre-recorded for myself... and I strongly recommend if you can DO IT... I will write up a post about that today) Anyway... have a magical day. My books are open for readings. And maybe I will consider opening them for meditations. But if you want to support the channel (lol) my venmo is @lunarmagicteatime

Happy whenever this finds you, for me it is Wednesday May 28th. I am recovering from a very busy and slightly chaotic birthday week. It was wonderful and even in the "bad" thing that happened some very good things arrived. What I want to talk about right now though is this incredible gift my dear dear dear friend got me. I am leary to use words like "soul sister" or the like but quite honestly I would not have made it through the last long while without her unwavering support, her willingness to listen and to rage with me. We vibe on a truly vibrational level. This is the Awe Inspired Goddess Deck. The art is simple, refined and easily accessible. It has a little black book, and the explanations are short and again, easily accessible. I didn't feel like the author was being esoteric and playing the whole mystical magical game. It was very clear in it's language. But you and I both know that even when an author is clear in their language, the cards can be vague or place themselves in a location that leads to confusion. Or a veil. A veil is a much better way to phrase that. The cards cannot lie. They are the universe communicating with us. The problem, if it is a problem, is that we speak whatever human language we speak, and the universe is speaking the language of the universe. Translation becomes an additional layer to working with the cards. All of that said, this deck seems pretty sure that it is here to teach me to reconnect with my emotions. To be open to allowing others into that space. It wants be to thrive through that. My books are open and I am scheduling readings now. Pricing is in the pinned post. If you would like to support what I do here but don't have a desire for a reading you can venmo the price of a cup of coffee to @lunarmagicteatime . As always... have a magical day.

Some little things I've learned over a decade of witchcraft:
If you are feel called to work but are tired/drained, sit outside. Take in all the energies around you. Nature can help charge you
Every witch does a little bit of a bunch of types of magic but sticks mainly to one or two in general. You usually won't be eclectic forever. You'll find what magics work best with you.
Never be lazy or cut corners with spirits. Always be respectful and always tell them to leave when you're done
When you see a plant or ingredient with a long list of properties, there are different things at play. Season of collection, the part of the plant, the health of the plant, etc all play a role in impacting which properties it will carry.
Don't call on spirits unless you have confidence and control
Be careful with sea/water magic. Get into it gently and slowly until you have the energy figured out because it can get out of hand quickly.
Adding a little pinch of magic into your breakfast can make a major difference in your day.
Your personal emotions/feelings over something will impact a work
Planting some plants is good, not only to have a garden, but the dirt helps cleanse you too. Get all dirty and muddy. It's good for ya
Not all trees are nice
The more you listen to your intuition, the easier it will be to tell it apart from your anxieties and worries
Incense is very easy to make which is why it's usually cheap to buy. But you can find a million tutorials online on how to make your own personal incense which is great if you want a spell to take effect over a while but also want to infuse the fire energy in it.
The more you work with something the better feel you get for it. Cinnamon goes in almost everything i cook and most of my spells because me and cinnamon just get right along
Your path is yours and no one else's. It will look like yours and no one else's

Happy whenever this finds you. For me it is a random Tuesday in spring. Although time as I experience it is linier so not at all random. Anyway... This is what I am reading this week. Starting with "Ruin Their Crops on the Ground." I grew up in a food desert. I grew up on a Reservation. This topic is one that while I am not...formally educated on, I am tied to by my very existence. Food is a human right. Access to food is a human right. I have faced food insecurity my entire life. So this will help me formulate how I move forward in a world that is screaming for more inequality. As to "torn apart"... I am an abolitionist of any system that is built on oppressing entire groups. This includes the child welfare system, AS IT IS in the US. (And before you start... the need for external care is far more rare than you think and we can talk politely about reform... but I am all about abolition so...). When my ex and I were younger and still in college, we also had a family. There was one month where we would not have the money for rent. Just needed about $330 to get over the hump and into a better situation. The work was working and we were truly doing everything the powers that be tell you are how you live the "american dream". We just needed the smallest bit of help. So I went to the welfare office (DSHS where we were). They had a program that was one time rental assistance per year. I went to get that help. I was under the idea that if the program is there... and I need it and qualify, that is what the program is for. I took my infant daughter with me. Her siblings were in daycare. The SW took one look at this baby and said "Have you thought about putting her into foster care to help you out?". She did not look at what I was applying for. She did not look at my forms at all before she asked me to give up my child. Foster Care is part of the adoption billion dollar human trafficking industry in the United States. You will not change my mind. For me my life is about learning, growing and working toward a better world. This reading will anger me, for sure. But it will also fire me up to work harder and fight better. Have a magical day.
