And then I translate the description, and it turns out it’s actually based on a game called Sky Children of the Light! So I guess I’ve found a new game that I’m gonna have to try >v>

This is another dnd child of mine! Her name is Amara, she’s a half-elf and a rogue, and has gotten herself involved in a lot of political intrigue that she did not realize she was signing up for when joining the party

So I realize that I haven’t been posting as often lately, and I thought I’d talk about that some.

The reason why is because it’s been harder for me to draw lately, and I’m sure that some of that has to do with the situation that the world is in and the stress that comes from that, but it also has to do with the fact that I’ve been unhappy with most of my art lately, and feeling so frustrated with it that I haven’t wanted to draw at all. The things that I have drawn, I haven’t wanted to post, because I didn’t feel that they were worthy of that.

I’m bringing this up because I think it’s important to say that not everything that you draw has to be revolutionary, and not everything has to push you out of your comfort zone. It’s good to push your boundaries, that’s how you improve in the long run, but sometimes it’ll feel like no matter what you do, you just can’t get it right, and when that happens it’s ok to step back and draw what’s familiar to you, to remind yourself that you like drawing, you like creating, and there are things that you’re good at.

This is me drawing what’s familiar to me, I learned to draw by drawing cats, and even though I rarely do nowadays, drawing this had a flow to it in a way that nothing else I’ve drawn in the past several months has. I’m going to try to be more active, because I know that just because I don’t think something is perfect, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t worth sharing. Even the best artists find flaws in their own work. It’s ok to be imperfect 💛

How do you do fellow kids? It is I, another child, definitely not someone who just turned 20 and is therefore no longer even a teenager, what makes you think that?

Anyway yeah it’s my birthday, and honestly turning 20 feels more like becoming an adult than turning 18 ever did, haha

Remember that the first pride was a riot. We owe our progress today to the actions of Black lesbian Stormé Delarverie, who started the Stonewall uprising. We owe it to Black trans women, Marsha P Johnson and Miss Major, who participated in the riot and continued to fight for our rights afterwards. We need to stand with BLM the way that they have stood with us in the past, and remember the Black members of our community, now and always.

Tonight’s finale was incredibly bittersweet, as it marks the end of a show that’s been with me through a lot. Steven Universe helped me get through some of my hardest times, and I’ll forever be grateful for the joy and the hope that it was able to give me. Thank you ❤️
