THE UNITED STATES IS A DICTATORSHIP AND WE MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

I beg you to read this because it is that deep.

I don’t usually make these types of posts so please excuse me. Unfortunately, you will be seeing a lot of this from here on out.

June 1st, 2025 - Native American and gay actor Jonathan Joss was murdered, a result of a hate crime. Joss and his husband had returned to their home (which had burned down month prior), only to find the skull of one of their dogs on display for them to see. Their neighbor, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, approached them and began to yell homophobic slurs at the two, before pulling out a gun and firing at the couple. Joss shielded his husband and died on the scene.

News outlets will call it a dispute. Reporters will call is an argument.

There was no arguing. There was no dispute. It was a HATE CRIME and it was MURDER.

Not a lot of people are talking about this, no one is taking this seriously as it should be taken and that infuriates me. As a sapphic Native American//Mexican myself, this also devastates me.

Look at the ICE raids. Have you seen the news lately? Because a while back, Kilmar Abrego Garcia was wrongfully deported and sent to El Salvador. Trump stated that he will not be returning back to the US.

But that was months ago, right?

Federal funding for those in need of food, money, and education are all being removed. Job Corps around the country are being shut down, the cost of living is rising, and there is constant push to either go to prison or go join the military. Because that’s what will benefit those in power.

But you don’t hear about it anywhere else, right?

Just because you don’t hear about it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Just because it doesn’t directly affect you, your family, and your friends, doesn’t mean it still won’t affect you eventually. This is a country of hate. It all stemmed from hate.

From the mass genocide of indigenous people residing in America, to the treatment of other people of color from here on out. It was all hate. Hate for differences, things that couldn’t be controlled.

It’s still here today.

I believe something can be done about this, however. Peaceful protests and public speaking, sure, but I wholeheartedly believe that we need to come together and take action.

I’ve been inactive for a while, I know. What a thing to come back to from Kio, right?

If I go dead silent at any point from here on out, no activity whatsoever, well. All I ask is that you keep spreading my message.

Because it is definitely that serious.

Baby bird season is incoming and I’d like to remind everyone that birds do not have a significant sense of smell. Bird parents will not reject birdlets because you have handled them.

If you see smol birbs with few or no feathers on the ground, you can safely put them back into their nest, bird parents will still care for them.

If you see smol birbs with some or most feathers on the ground, please leave them there, as bird parents are probably nearby watching and feeding.
