This was kinda based on the theory that Wooly is with Hameln (not willingly) to keep her happy. Plus the idea of him and Amanda used to be good friends before he lost her trust.

I just wanna clarify that I don't actually think CC and David are gonna be revealed to be the same character. I'm saying a lot of the new twists and story reveals have felt so ridiculous that I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled something like that.

Sorta like how they pulled the whole "Afton was the Mimic the whole time" crap.

The fact that the kid from SOTM is named David makes me hate the idea that the crying child is named Dave even more. I know reusing names is on brand for FNAF, but I can't stand it.

I feel like this could lead to some twist reveal that David and CC are the same kid somehow; which would suck.

Nani giving Lilo away makes the fact that the story takes place in Hawaii kind of pointless. See where I'm getting at?

Think about it. Why does Lilo and Stitch take place in Hawaii? Why is there inner conflict with Lilo and the other girls? Why does Nani work at a shitty Luau?

If this story took place in North America, it would not be the same story. Nani would give Lilo away to "chase her dreams". Them being Hawaiian wouldn't make a difference. But it does. Being Hawaiians, living a Hawaiian life, having a Hawaiian family. They are important to the characters sense of identity and belonging. Nani knows Lilo is surrounded by people who don't understand her (white Americans) and Nani knows they will lose a part of themselves if they lose each other. Staying together isn't just about their love, it's about who they are as people. Saying that Nani leaving was good because it's "realistic" is an effort to ignore the racial undertones through the entire movie.
