I just kinda reblog stuff because I hear that it's the proper etiquette of Tumblr. But I try to at least add my 2 cents even if it may be redundant

Israel has worked hard to portray Gaza as a barren wasteland, backwater that is a terrorist stronghold. In reality, Gaza is a beautiful city/region with a rich history that has been decimated from constant bombings and strangled by the blockade. So much of what is being destroyed by Israel are restaurants, bookshops, schools, universities, houses and much of what contributes to life in Gaza and people’s livelihoods. Places that are attached to and filled with the memories of Palestinians in Gaza. It’s not just about making life miserable for the people who live there, but about projecting a particular image of Gaza to the world. This is also similar to how the US has portrayed places like Afghanistan to justify its invasions.

When I was younger I was absolutely scared of the concept of hell, the only thing that was more terrifying than the unimaginable level of torture a person will experience in hell is the fact that they will always be immediately resurrected after dying to experience the same gruesome torture over and over for eternity, but now as an adult, I don't have much fear when it comes to hell, if anything the existence of hell comforts me and gives me some peace of mind,
Because now I know that it doesn't matter how many horrors, tortures, rape and deaths terrorists such as American terrorists and Israeli terrorists accumulate against my people, even if their regime continues for centuries to come, every evil act they have committed/will commit against innocent people on this Earth will not be even a fraction of a fraction of the punishment that awaits all of them when these pigs would be thrown to the deepest level of hell to suffer for eternity.
And while all of this is happening, all of their victims that they spent so much time and resources to make them suffer as humanly as possible, will be living in pure bless in heaven.

Please donate to Palestine Action in order for their members to continue storming, halting, shutting down and dismantling all factories/offices owned by Israel’s biggest weapons manufacturer, Elbit Systems, across different countries.
If you can't donate, please visit their site to see what other ways you can support or join this movement, especially if your country host one of Elbit's factories.

Okay so: mini rant!
I love, love, LOVE, Fahrenheit 451. Besides the while message of "censorship is bad for society and prevents people from making their own decisions Yada yada", I just love the way it was written.
From a readers pov or a writers pov, I love it both ways!
I don't usually say I "love" a book because I usually read a book and go "yeah that was good, interesting, whatever." I enjoy it, then move on. BUT I rarely read a book and just adore it. Fahrenheit 451 is one of them. Not the top top, but it's up there.
That's not to to say that I hate all the books I read because the list of books I hate is pretty short. Hm, for now at least. I haven't read all the books in the world. I should though!
Quick question though, do you have a book that you simply adore?
#mini rant#books#any book recommendations?#im not too picky#as long as its not too gorey#what can i say#im a huge coward!#speaking of books i really want to read the journey to the west#im having a hard time finding a physical copy#hmmmm#i like posting because it feels like im talking to a void#but sometimes people echo back your words#via reblogging#its like a journal#i cant tag

I think a lot of discussion about starting to read comics vs manga doesn’t address that a good percentage of the people who are hardcore about comics now started by picking up some random issue, going ‘it makes no damn sense. Compels me though,’ and then kept reading just to find out what the fuck all that was about
like I see people insult the Choose-Your-Own-Adventure aspect of reading shared universe superhero comics, but some of us are little weirdos who got hooked on comics specifically because theyre a puzzle we get to put together

I'm sure there's a legit, reasonable, logical reason to learn about flowers and their meanings in order to defeat batman.
Love when people say Talia was arranging all these guys to train Jason to keep him away from Gotham for as long as possible to protect Bruce bc it just makes me think of her running out of assassin skills and having to improvise
Bonus Bruce getting his flowers
#OH NO!#hydrangea macrophylla#BATMANS ONE WEAKNESS#and it also means gratitude?#huh#i know thats not the flowers shown in the art#i just like hydrangeas#did i mention how nice the art is?#its great

I'll never forget the day I came home after my wisdom teeth removal.
They removed 5 teeth because I had an extra one and I spent days spitting blood in a cup. But instead of whining and groaning like I thought I would, I purposefully waited until a family member came by so I could show them exactly how much blood I could spit up and exactly how it smelled.
I wasn't allowed to talk much either for a bit, so I used a text to speech just to insult people.
All in all, great experience! Recovery went well, the docs did a great job, minimal pain. And I got to terrorize my family like a weirdo. So yeah. That was that.
#wisdom teeth#surgery#it wasnt that painful for me#but for some people it can be#my teeth were just easy to remove in this case#and i handle pain pretty well too#it was fine tho#i was fine#just a week of tasting like minty blood?#te blood tasted minty#idk

It's kinda weird, going to a majority white school as a black kid. Like as a kid you know that you have darker skin and you're a different race than most of the other kids. At first this doesn't bother you (at least in my experience ). You know that the other kids probably have a different way of life than you, but you don't particularly dwell on it. At least in the beginning.
For me that changed around third grade. When my teacher was suddenly serious and solemn and sat the entire class down and explained slavery to us. Particularly the enslavement of black people in America. I already knew about this, the black movement, and the speeches, the whole shebang. My parents and just about any black adult in my life made sure I did.
What came as a surprise to me was everyone else's reactions. They had never heard of such a thing before and as my teacher awkwardly explained how some white people enslaved an entire race, my race, I watched dozens of beady little eyes turn in my direction.
As if to say, "really? That happened to people like you? Black people?"
Let me make something clear, I don't think it was wrong of my third grade teacher to explain slavery to us because it's important to know. I don't think she did it out of some malicious intent to humiliate. I do not think that the kids in that class were racist per se or even cruel because I really can't attest to that.
What I'm trying to get at here is this: from that point on school made a point out of going over and over again about slavery. But it never got to the meat of it, not really. It was the exact same lessons, exact same homework, and the kids in my classroom weren't just kids in anymore. They were White Kids and I was a Black Kid and that seemed enough to be a divider. It seemed there was this constant caution not to offend me. And if it were not that it was back handed insults.
I don't have any hard feelings, kids are kids, it doesn't make it right, but yknow.
I'm not gonna say," there is no race, only the human race" because I have had many people tell me this as their defense for not being racist despite me not mentioning it to begin with. Point is! We're all different, even kids can see that. And that's okay. We should revel and enjoy our differences because it just makes society as a whole, better. However, I don't think we should draw a huge divider between each other. We'll always see someone and say," a black guy" or "a white guy" and that's fine and all.
I just don't think we should pit ourselves against each other. White VS Black. Man VS Woman. Right VS left.
Embrace our differences but don't let them tear us apart.
Of course I know it's not that simple by any means. I still think it's worth a try though, I think we can be a little better. I think I can be a little better. Just gotta try a little bit.
#big rant#opinon#idk#im just thinking about some stuff#living in Southern america is weird#not bad#but definitely a distinct experience#this is just my perspective#from what ive observed#i would love to see others thoughts or point of view on this#i based this off of my experiences#and i know that this kind of thing depends on race#personal upbring#ethnicity#religion#where you live#and just tons of other factors#i find it fascinating#i debated how the theory of evolution could be a approach to racism across the world#interesting concept btw#never thought about it like that#and no im not talking as in how racists used the theory of evolution to support racism#okay yeah i overtagged
