[ 10:50 pm ] - you nudge minho lightly by his arm with your elbow. he looked at you in confusion and you just leaned towards him, smiling. minho chuckles, lightly pushing your face away with a blush growing in his cheeks. “you bored, baby?” minho asked, putting his phone away and facing you. you nod at his question, shrugging. “what do you wanna do?” minho asks one more time and you leaned in again, kissing his cheek and then wrapping your arms around his waist as you rest your chin on his shoulder.

“kiss you,” you mumble and minho pulls you in his lap, sidewards and he pulls your head away from his shoulder. he guides your cheek with his hand, your lips meeting his. in your dismay, it was only a peck and then minho started to pepper kisses all over your face which made you feel like you have butterflies flying inside your stomach. you giggle, “minho! i said i wanna kiss you.”

“but i like..” a peck on your left cheek. “kissing..” another on your right cheek. “you.” and then on your nose. you scrunch your nose which made minho kiss it one more time. minho halts his movements, cupping your cheeks with his hand and finally pulling you in for a gentle kiss. his soft lips moving against yours and soon, the corners of your mouth started to turn up which made minho’s lips turn up too that caused him to pull away.

minho wraps his arms around you, kissing your forehead and pulling you into his chest as he rested his cheek on your head. “can i kiss you now?” you ask.

“you’ll have your own turn.” minho says as he tilts your head lightly to place another soft kiss on your temple and pulling your head to his chest again to rest his cheek on your head again.

“but i-”

“love me? i love you, too.” then, another kiss on the top of your head. you’ll get your turn, maybe later.

it was meant to be over ages ago between you two. yet he was your tether, he tied you to this world and you couldn’t be without him, you couldn’t breathe without him.

every morning, you would roll over in bed, with your heart aching for some familiarity. the vision of seeing his glorious self, with his mussed up dark hair and bedroom eyes gazing at you as if you possessed all the light in the world.

the feeling of him on you, him in you, wasn’t fading quick enough.

and it was all your fault. 

jaehyun had been prepared to have a long distance relationship with you, he was an idol, renowned by millions of women (and men) who would do anything to spend time with him.

but he only wanted you. the girl who was once his childhood friend, the one who was there for him when you were both teenagers and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you and grow old together.

he had been on tour and it had been almost nine months now, and you were so very lonely. you knew he was going to arrive the day after tomorrow and your friends had pushed you to let loose and have some fun with them at a new nightclub.

so you had went. you’d dressed up as if you would be dancing, hips against jaehyun, under the pulsing lights. but once you got there, nothing enticed you. so you sat against the bar, downing shot after shot, jealous of how your friends all had time with someone they loved.

forty minutes to midnight, you were approached by a beautiful stranger. a leather jacket embroidered with a dragon over the back of his broad shoulders. he had flattered you, offered to buy you a drink and each time you had refused. 

until finally, you thought, screw it. jaehyun wouldn’t be here for two days and pressing your body against the stranger felt just like jaehyun, so maybe you could close your eyes and pretend it was jaehyun who was kissing your neck.

he had driven you back to the apartment you shared with jaehyun. it was passionate and reckless, the way he slipped his tongue into your mouth. 

forty minutes pass midnight, the man was slipping your dress off when suddenly the front door opened.

you felt something in your blood run cold as you took in how jaehyun’s tired but handsome face went from shining in preparation to surprise you early to crestfallen as he saw you tangled up in another man’s arms. it quickly changed to something furious as he snarled at the man to get out of here.

the stranger just picked up his jacket and gave you a dirty look as him not getting some tonight was your fault.

you had expected jaehyun to yell at you, to rage, anything at all. it would have been preferable to tears dripping down his porcelain cheeks as for once in his life, that passionate spark that drove him had gone out.

he wouldn’t even let you near him.

hours passed and he hadn’t spoken to you. he’d locked himself in your (once) shared bedroom and you wished desperately to reverse time. to go back to when you were sitting at home waiting for him.

finally, he emerged, he was no longer crying but something was melancholy in his face and his voice was raspy as he spoke.

“i don’t know how to exist in a world without you.” you almost hoped he had forgiven you, though you couldn’t fathom why.

“but i can manage.” you stared at your lover, former lover. he was staring at you coldly as he told you to pack your things and move out.

months had passed, every morning you would wake up and regret what had happened that night. you’d passed by him one day, in a bustling marketplace where he was walking with johnny, one of his bandmates. jaehyun, looking gorgeous in a denim jacket, mussed hair and all the fawning fansites around him had ignored you while johnny had given you a disapproving look.

the shame you felt was deserved and you knew that.

it’s pretty hard to not fall in love with seo changbin, and even harder to stay away from him. you know that you told yourself that you couldn’t handle a relationship right now but changbin entered your life like a whirlwind and changed that. in fact, right now, at this very moment, you’re wondering if you should just give up and fall into changbin’s arms. at that thought, your brain suddenly shifts from rationality to staring at his toned biceps.

the dance studio is closing for the day and the sun is setting, draping the sky in peachy hues. you’ve had to practice with changbin a new choreography all day and you want nothing more than just to get home.

luckily, you live pretty close and your apartment is just a few minutes away if you walk. and you’re wondering if you can make it out before changbin offers to do something gentleman like such as...

“where are you going?” you turn at the sound of his voice, changbin looks unfairly good, zipped up in a parka and a beanie over his caramel toned hair.

you try to keep your voice casual, “home?” changbin tilts his head, “are you walking?” 

you make a non committal sound in your throat as you hum out a ‘yes’. 

“let me come with you, you don’t live far right?”

there it is, your one weakness has slithered right to you and struck. you laugh, tugging on your own jacket, “i’ll be fine, binnie. it’s not far.”

changbin scowls lightly, “but it’s getting dark, it’s not safe out there!”

part of you wants to give in, but you also damn well know that if you give in, you’re not going to leave without kissing him on that perfect mouth.

changbin sighs, “please, i’ll feel much better if you let me walk you home.”
