ASIS PDF Files and How to Make a Book!

Hello All! I've received a few messages and read through many many notes asking about either the purchase or the formatted pdfs of the fanfiction book we made for study in scarlette. I do not wish to make money off a fellow artist's work so therefore it is not for sale. BUT! I also understand that this is many a person's comfort fic and so I do want to share the files I made and used and how I ordered it so that you too can have your own copy!

I just want it understood that while the art is mine the writing is not and I want it to be handled with as much respect as possible. So do not take the text and post it elsewhere. Do not remix the fic or call it your own. If the author is in anyway uncomfortable with this sharing, it will be immediately taken down with a notice to everyone. Thank you guys!

Now how to Order:

We purchased our copies through the site Mixam, using the paperback 'reading book' option, which you can find here. (be sure to actually click reading books in case my link is wrong)

In the book specification section: Size should be 6x9 (the images will be .25 inches longer because of bleed so they can cut off excess paper), page colors will be grayscale, paper type will be uncoated 60 Ib. text, and have 540 sides/pages. In the cover section, have it in color, satin, 80Ib. Cover, and matte- unless you prefer it to be shiny.

Once you've clicked Add to Cart: the spine should be about 1.2 inches and should be perfect bound which is automatic for this size of book.

To Upload! Make sure the file names align with their placement on the book. For example, the front cover file should have 'front cover" somewhere in the name. This way they will upload to their proper locations. Once the images are uploaded, upload the formatted writing. Go to the last page (540) once everything is there and add an intentionally blank page to fill it all out.

After all that you'll have to click above the job, "Scale to Job Size". to make sure the program is happy. There will be one page (125) with an image of KID's signature that it doesn't like but it will print fine either way.

Now proof the book to make sure everything is lined up correctly and you should be done!!! Wait for a person to get back to you if anything is wrong and enjoy your new book!

WIP bois that I made in a hyperfocused haze last night

After over a year of procrastinating and getting distracted with life, my sister and I have finally finished our passion project of making our favorite fanfic into a book! It's over 500 pages of mystery, murder, and romance and I'm so happy to have it in my hands.

Updates!

A few things I'd like to run by everyone! I've been a busy little bee while I was away and I'd like to share:

Commissions are going to be opening again soon! Look out for that in a matter of days but on top of that I'd like to maybe start doing pngtuber/sprite commissions? I miss making gifs and the like but I'm still doing research on programs and tools for it.

I'm thinking of starting a twitch! Nothing big, maybe playing games sometimes just to get a feel for it with no pressure. No date yet but I'm tentatively aiming for a month or two to get all my assets and tests in order.

Navid and Hardulin seem like such cool characters. I like how they both have connections to Prospect (whose design I also really liked), despite how different those connections may be. It would be cool to hear more about the campaign you're the DM for, if you're comfortable with it! I like hearing about world building and story and all that.

First off, so sorry for dropping off the face of the planet again. Apparently helping 3 people move takes longer than you would think.

Secondly! Thank you for asking! There's only so much I can share without my players reading spoilers but I'd love to get into it:

Here is the world map I gave the players to work with at the beginning of the campaign (made with inkarnate). It's changed here and there depending on closer views of areas or changes for story but it's essentially the same. There are technically 5 regions or continents (some connected some aren't) floating in the sky, ergo the "firmament." No one has gone below before except for a few failed missions that come back with nothing. That's how the characters know it but what they do not know is how or why it is floating. That is the mystery I've had them slowly puzzling out over the course of the game.

Thanks to the Warlock's patron, Israfel the marker of the apocolyse and angel of music, I've had them visiting ancient temples (botw zelda style) from a time before the land was floating to unwrap their history and find the ancient technology within. But in order to open these temples they first needed the key, which the warlock was led to with biblically accurate angel dreams, and the "chalice" which was a young boy named Velatha who was put into stasis in the first temple they were led to- which worked out because my barbarian was begging for something to be a dad to. Vel is the vessel of the sort of spirit orbs you get at the end of those zelda shrines except physically on his body, but the characters don't know what they do yet. So far one of them heals and one of them does divine punishment and they're on shrine 3 out of 12.

From there we've been unraveling everyone's stories. Prospect is the Barbarian who was raised as a gnoll. Lyz is a teenager who was being raised by a well known family of assassins but all she wants to do is live in a swamp and play with her fae swarm of slugs. Bela is the former bard, now warlock haunted by dreams of the apocalypse every time they sleep. And Ilazi is a knowledge obsessed amnesiac aasimar who may or may not have witnessed an angel as well by trying to fly below the clouds. They all love their adoptive son even if they're not sure if he's gonna end the world or save it and they're all one big found family.

I love the designs for Hardulin and Navid! If you have the chance, would you ever be willing to share more about them? I'd love to hear more about them!

So I am the DM for this campaign but it's also homebrew and I've had to create the whole plot and world from scratch and some tropes that I know. The two of them are NPC's that I play and both of them dated my girlfriend's character, Prospect.

Navid, on the bottom there, has been a part of the political plot since since I gave the world's events summaries at the beginning of the campaign. He's your basic king arthur story, son to a king but raised as a peasant unknowing of his bloodline until he meets a wizard who apprentices him and shows him his true origins. 'Cept before he became an apprentice he went to law school so he could do political work and he took on the wizarding thing as an internship to get him an in to the castle so he could eventually be an advisor to the king (but he ended up liking magic a lot) and it got more complicated from there accidentally.

Navid met Prospect three years before the campaign began in an alleyway behind a bar he was working at. Prospect was a homeless raccoon man fighting over trash with the other rodents. Navid decided to do some community service after finding him again and again in other trash cans. Then, decided to feed him and, after getting to know him, eventually house him temporarily. They grew close together in that time, became boyfriends, and then Navid ended up catching Love feelings to which he confessed. Prospect ran away in the night without a word and regrets it to this in-campaign day. He's been slowly reintroducing himself to Navid through letters and it's been cute.

HARDULIN on the other hand is a very self indulgent character where I get to be the meanest bitch alive and still be cute. They were a request for one of several exes for prospect's character, a pirate with an insatiable appetite for himbos.

The two met a few months before meeting Navid while Prospect was working as a temp on Hardulin's crew and they saw his amazing pair of pecs. They had a week of passion, which was a week too long for Hardy to be in port and not get caught by authorities and be thrown into exile on an isle for dragons. They gave themself a stick and poke tat for every day they were there. They managed to train the nicest dragon, that they've named Amore, into giving them a ride off the isle which actually ended up accidentally saving and meeting Prospect again. They're a very morally grey character and I'm excited to see if the team will be able to convince them not to be an asshole villain character or not- but either way I'm happy playing them.

Neither of these are actually complete to the level that I would like, but after months of staring at the both of them not being complete I would just like to call them enough at the very least. These two characters are ex-partners of prospect’s (Hardulin on top, Navid on bottom) but one he is trying to win over again in game. Idk I personally love them both.

And now for something unrelated to classwork! This is my girlfriend’s DND barbarian, Prospect! He’s a human who thinks he’s a gnoll and wherever he goes antics ensue. It probably should have only taken me two weeks to do this but burnout is real bro and those abs deserve all the time I put into them.
