The results of remote observation of the 2017 partial solar eclipse in Argentina by webcam mounted around Cerro Chapelco Base. The compilation shows clearly how the light level changed as the eclipse progressed. The visual asymmetry is driven by the webcam ISO sensitivity adaptation. Monthly extremes of lunar declination during the 2025 major lunar standstill with the breakdown between the mean declination as well as latitudes of 50N, 30S, and equator. The culmination of the major standstill will occur in January 2025. The Moon's declination has its impact on the moonrise/moonset azimuth and distant landscape features, which can be seen with the Moon in the background. Since the most recent - hybrid solar eclipse 2023 is over it's the right time for thinking about the next one - the Great American one, again, which will sweep across the North American continent on April 8 next year.
I've prepared several world's most-detailed visualizations and now it's the time for sharing them. I - GENERAL GREAT AMERICAN ECLIPSE 2024 CIRCUMSTANCES - including a few rounded shapes, in which the innermost is the umbra, although other ones are also interesting. They show the estimated moments of greatest eclipse adequate for visibility of Baily's Beads (99,5%), solar corona (99%), solar photosphere (96%), and the faint solar corona (93%). Apart from up to 32M people, which live in the path, there are much more, which addresses fall inside the deep partial phase considered in this video. Watch it and SUBSCRIBE! IT COSTS NOTHING!
