Maybe one time, on Steven’s birthday, he excitedly invited everyone he knew to his party. He didn’t know that many people, anyway.

…No one showed up.

Not even his mom. Even though he made sure to invite her, too.

The first — and last time — Maplestar ignored Starclan’s orders.

On a patrol, he found a cat. Dead. A father, because there was a small kitten with him. She was alive.

But with no one else left to take care of her.

That was how it was supposed to be. The will of Starclan.

But Maplestar could not accept it. She would *die* on her own- how could he?

So he took her. Took her back to the clan to raise her as his own.

…

A fool. There is no use in preventing destiny. All that will do is make it’s potential grow, then bleed into everything, taking over anything in its path.

luca broke down completely after it happened- just a big embodiment of melancholy even years after it happened. they try to distract themself with work to make things seem a bit better D:

and thank you so much, you have no idea how happy hearing that makes me 😭 most of my art of luca is post-steven era, when they join the society a few years later and get close to miguel! i am constantly remaking the lore though haha

from a technical side i just wanted to make him different from canon mcu steven haha- but yeah! they intentionally chose to have the colors of their suits match. they’re very cheesy

and yess theyre in love! or were, at least,, in lua-aranha’s backstory, steven did end up dying because of a canon event- much like peter lost gwen. so their end isn’t very happy- i love them very much regardless

my spider’s name is Lua-Aranha (it means moon-spider in portuguese), or luca medeiros, their civilian name! they use they/he pronouns and they’re partners with the moon system (or at least, were- canon events really messed things up. ☹️)

they’re both raised in brazil in this universe and they’re childhood best friends. moon system has the same powers from mcu, Lua-Aranha has fangs (which they do not use at all and is terrified to find out if they’re venomous or not), claws, and hypersensibility to light and movement (which is why they only stay in the dark and basically only patrol at night- their powers get even stronger at night too!!). they can’t climb walls though so they need help from their mech spider legs hehe

steven and luca basically suck at being heroes, at least in the start. but hey, they’re doing their best!! steven is cautious and terrified of messing up, while luca just jumps at whatever danger they see- that changes later on, but that’s basically their dynamic!!

i think abt them a lot 😔😔 still working on lore, really inconsistent atm but that’s basically it for them haha
