We have just launched the Kickstarter campaign for our game Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest! After almost 3 years of development and 25 behind-the-scenes videos of Let's Make a TCG, we finally did it! For those of you who don't know, Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest is an online sci-fi exploration-themed game for 2 to 6 player to be released on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and web. It's a blend of a trading card game with board game elements. Multiverse is played on a galaxy, which the game board that players will explore and try to conquer. Unlike other TCGs, where the game board is divided in just your side and your opponent's side, in Multiverse you can move around anywhere in the galaxy, and the position and movement speed of your cards matters greatly. In Multiverse, each player has their own customized deck of cards, but unlike other TCGs, in Multiverse, there are two main ways of winning the game. You can either conquer your opponent's home planet or conquer more than half of the galaxy. Both strategies are equally viable, and almost any deck can switch gears mid-game and try and win the other way. This creates vibrant gameplay full of twists, turns, and on-the-spot decisions. You'll find more details on the game and its features on the Kickstarter page. Back us yourselves and help us by sharing this post with all of your friends!

Check out this piece concept art for the Daran race in Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest. The Darans have a very technologically developed society. They have many scientists and inventors that actively explore and learn about the galaxy. They aren’t skilled fighters, so they create shields for their ships and buildings to protect themselves. They focus on thinking strategically, looking at the bigger picture, but aren’t great at on-the-spot tactical decisions.
What do you think of their design?
You can play the online beta version of Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest for free! To install the game and start playing, follow all the steps in this video tutorial: http://buff.ly/2lLuoBg

Episode 5 of our tutorial series on how to play Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest is out!
In this episode we look at how battles work and how to explore and conquer the galaxy with units and structures. These mechanics were perfected after many iterations were tested, and tested again, and changed, and tested again. Finally, the mechanics of the game are both intuitive, flavorful, and deep.
This series of video has already turned into the most challenging collection of videos to edit, with so many moving pieces and layers. You could say I'm learning how to edit in premiere by creating them.
This is the perfect time to learn how to play the game! We've just launched the game's free online beta version on a virtual tabletop called OCTGN, so anyone can join and play it!You'll find all the details on how to do it here:https://tokartsmedia.com/forum/questions-suggestions-issues/53-how-to-set-up-multiverse-on-line-beta-readme

We had our first ever live Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest tournament on OCTGN and it was a blast! This time we had only 3 participants: Gameg1, Cheatastcg, and myself. However we saw many different strategies being played in this tournament: Orange boarding, Yellow-Green swarm, Red-Violet robots, and Vioilet-Yellow control.
We had some audio and connection problems, and some awkward pauses and bloopers, but considering this was my first time commentating other people playing a game, it went really well!
We have tournaments every week at 5pm GMT! Join the next upcoming tournament here: https://tokartsmedia.com/forum/organized-games-tournaments
If you don't know the rules of the game, we have a video tutorial series that breaks them down into easy to learn segments:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13uPXxJwk7k&t=2s&list=PLN90FCziF2ncS9sv-DI8dQuF1KSyject6&index=1

After months of testing we've launched the Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest Online Beta on a virtual tabletop called OCTGN! The game now is not only playable, but a lot of fun as well!
Now anyone can start playing Multiverse without having to print out and cut out cards, and you can play with other members of the community who live on the other side of the world!
In the Online Beta you'll have access to all of the cards in the game, so you can build any kind of deck that you want and try to come up with the best strategy!
Check out the new Let's Make a Trading Card Game for more details, including how to join =)
So much has been going on since the last episode: not only have we released the online beta version, but we've fixed the Cargo and Shields mechanics, we've finalized the rules of the game, we've added names to all the cards, and images to all the galaxy cards. We've also started to draw concept art for all the different alien races in Multiverse, and we're getting ready to start drawing the final cards. Watch out for updates on Multiverse, because there's a lot more on the way!

Our online playtest session has officially started! Hooray!
We've made a tutorial video just for playtesters of Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest on how to play the game on the testing program!
We've also sent testers e-mails with all the information they need on how to install the program. You can find all of it along with the latest version of the game's rulebook in the hidden tester forums on our website atwww.tokartsmedia.com =)
Oh, by the way, there’s still time to join the party! To become a playtester, sign up to our website and post in the forums under Community -> Multiverse: Cosmic Conquest -> Multiverse Playtest Session. We’ll set you up with everything to start playing Multiverse =)
Tok will be extremely active on the testing program, especially in the early weeks, explaining to people how best to play Multiverse, answering rules questions, judging and organizing games.
Now that the playtest session is here, the next step for us will be to start creating concept art for all the units, ships, and buildings that will be in the game, so stay tuned for that!
Also, chances are now that the playtest session is up and running, we'll be getting much more Multiverse content on YouTube as well, so look forward to that =)
Everything is going great, the morale is strong here at TokArts Ltd.
