You sighed as yet another wannabe witch/spell caster commented on your post for helping young mages get their start. You run a small blog that tries to help people wanting to be mages or any type of spell casters. And honestly, it was simple but of course, people didn’t believe it.
To be a powerful mage, you have to take care of your mind, meaning you also have to take care of your body and health. Simple. It wasn’t like there were extensive workouts to make sure your body was built or anything. Just eating more healthy food, eating more vegetables and fruits in your diet. Cutting out more fast food and sodas. Simply taking care of your body. Sleeping anywhere from seven to nine hours a night. Hell even taking some spa days to help recharge your mental battery.
But like most things, there are naysayers and others commenting that it wasn’t true, it was all a fake account.
You sigh and lean back in your comfy computer chair. What could you do? Waving your hand, a hot cup of tea floats your way and into your hand. Gently cradling the mug, you blow on it and cozy up with your pretty cat in your lap. If only people would actually listen and not say you sold your soul to the devil. Yes you have talked to him, but only to exchange bread recipes! His banana bread is a treat to have.
You thought to yourself, might as well let them do as they please. If they truly believe me, they would simply just do it. You’ve had a couple people thank you already for your tips. Hell you’ve had people buy some of your spells and potions.
You shrugged and just simply smiled to yourself. At least you are at peace.
nobody believes you. They all think you made some sort of bargain or deal. Maybe even consuming souls… but the truth is that you became the most powerful mage in the world by getting enough sleep, studying, and eating right.

It wasn’t long before the three had landed in an opening in the dense forest in the Elven country. By this time Kit’s ears have gone deaf from all of Jane’s screaming and Jane didn’t have a voice left to talk. They had flown for only an hour but it was enough for all three of them to be tired for one day.
Kit slid off of Nirvana and offered his hand to Jane, who took it. She released it as her feet hit the soft ground of the forest but as quickly as Kit’s support was gone, Jane started to fall to the ground. If not for Kit’s reflexes, she would have been on her butt. Yet it was awkward as to where Kit’s hands were on her. They had landed on her stomach and shoulders. The shoulders weren’t as bad as the one on her stomach. She blushed as she nodded her thanks to him and placed her hand on Nirvana to steady herself.
Jane was not used to this kind of attention. Sure there were the maids but they had been all females and really the only males that she had in her life were her father, who really didn’t count, and her personal guard, Sebastian.
Sebastian was like her brother, no romance. That was kind of a lie though. She did have a small crush on the boy as they were the same age and everything. That didn’t work out as well as she had hoped. That was the day Jane had learned of different kinds of love. She had only thought that male and female were to fall in love but Sebastian proved her wrong in many ways.
Jane had blurted out that she liked Sebastian when they were younger, about thirteen or so of age. Of course they couldn’t be together anyways, but he had laughed at her, making her cry. After making sure that Jane didn’t tell her father that he made her cry, Sebastian had explained why he had laughed at her.
In a gentle way so that she could understand, Sebastian had explained that he liked males like she did. At first Jane didn’t understand. What had he meant but liking males like her? After a bit, Jane had understood what he had meant and supported him, complicity even going as far as to say that she would make it so if anyone was to be made fun of by another person for liking the same gender, that person would be beheaded.
That wouldn’t have happened anyway, Jane realized. Not with being forced to marry a king of a different country. That dream had sunk when she found out that she was marrying. Even more so that she was with this boy now. She couldn’t show her face ever again after that stunt he had pulled with kidnapping her. How was that better than marrying that pig?
Jane looked back at Kit, who was setting up what looks like a camp. He was an unknown. He was different from anyone she had ever met before. To the accent and to the way he addresses her. It was not normal for her but it was also not unpleasant either. It kind of felt that she was just a normal human. Not some princess of the human race of Dores. It was just nice.
Looking at Kit for some reason also reminded her of the odd dream that she had last night. She didn’t quite remember what had happened except it was one of the clearest and nicest dreams that she had ever had. She did however, remember something about destiny or whatever. It’s not like that really happened.
Looking at Kit again to see if sparked anymore memories about her dream, Jane was surprised to see him looking at her as well. She snapped her head back to look at Nirvana or anywhere else but Kit. It was only when she heard his laugh that she felt embarrassed. She knew that he meant no harm, at least that’s what she hoped.
“Do you have to laugh at me?” She went for the spoiled brat routine. She had no idea what to say to this boy and she didn’t want to put her real emotions out in the open.
She heard the boy scoff at her. She also heard him drop whatever he was holding and his footsteps getting louder as he stalked towards her.
“You know,” he started, “you don’t have to be such an ass to the person who just saved you from an unwanted marriage,”
“I never asked you to ‘save’ me,” she didn’t mean that. “Why did you do it anyway? It’s not like you had anything to gain from it. Or are you going to hold me for ransom now?”
“As tempting as it sounds,” Jane snapped her head to him as she spotted a scowl, “I wouldn’t do that. Too much work on my part,” he had waved his hand in dismissal. “And as to saving you, talk to my better half for that,” he completed as he patted the back of the dragon that she was still leaning on.
“Your better half?” She questioned.
He laughed and she didn’t know if it was at her or what but he scratched at the nape of his neck.
“Well ya kind of sittin’ on him now,” he laughed again and looked her in the eyes. She blushed at his beautiful face.
“What do you mean?” She shuddered, what had he meant by sitting on his better half? She was just leaning on the dragon. ‘Wait, does he mean,’
“The dragon, you doofus,” he smacked his head with his palm.
Jane scoffed at the boy and started to pace.
“I am a princess, you clown! If anything, boy, are the doofus,” she returned in the most disrespectful was possible. “You were the one that decided to kidnap me!”
“Well excuse me, Princess. How about we take you back since you aren’t as grateful as you should be,”
“You take me back, we all die a slow and painful death,” she snapped.
“Then stop bitching about it!”
Jane raised her hand to slap the taller male but as she swung her hand said male caught her by her wrist.
He then grabbed her other wrist, brought them both up above her head and backed her to a tree and slammed her back into it. The young male held both of her wrist in his left hand, whipped out a dagger from underneath his trench coat and pressed said dagger to Jane’s neck.
“I’ve been trying to be hostility towards you but you are tell pressin’ my buttons,” he spoke in a low and dangerous voice. Jane was quivering in her shoes as he continued. “Now here is how it's gonna go. You pay me with a little more respect or I can leave you here with nothing but the clothes on your back or I can kill you right here, understood?”
“So what is your choice, Princess?” Kit questioned as he slightly pulled back the dagger from Jane’s neck.
She nodded carefully. She opened her mouth but she closed it. Kit’s eyes narrowed.
“I’ll take the first option,” Jane decided. “I’ll treat you with more respect,”
Kit released her wrists and took a step back. He nodded and went back to the makeshift campfire. Jane breathed out a deep sigh. She had thought that she was going to die even if she did take the first choice.
She just wished that she would never see that side of Kit again. Jane was not planning on speaking to the boy anytime soon. He had scared her too much for one day.
“Nirvana!” Kit shouted to the dragon, startling Jane in the progress.
The dragon looked at the other human in mock annoyance. He puffed out his chest and he shot out a small flame green fire.
The campfire bursted into orange flames. Kit raises his hand in thanks to the black dragon. Jane wore a confused look on her face as she wondered how Nirvana knew what Kit had wanted.
“How did you do that?” Jane was beating herself up at her failure to not talk to the boy. She wanted nothing more to take a large rock or log and beat her head into.
Kit looked at her in surprise too. She guessed that he didn’t expect her to talk to him either.
“Do,” he drew out, “what?” He ever so slightly waved his hand as to draw out what she wanted him to say.
“That thing with Nirvana!” She exclaimed as her hands flew to the sky. She then retracted her arms and hands back close to her body when she thought that she might have been rude with that outburst.
Instead of getting a scowling, Jane was met with laughter. Loud, reverberated, laughter. This was not what she was expecting at all. She thought that she was going to be met with a blade at her throat or to the head.
His laughter started to calm down after a little bit. Jane scrunched her nose up in confusion. Why had this peasant laughed at her. Was what she said that funny?
“You guys really don’t know anything about dragons do ya?” He smirked.
“Well no,” Jane was very confused at this point. “There are no dragons here. We just have books about them. Does your country have many dragons?”
“Sit,” Kit patted the log next to him. “I’ll explain it do you,”
The princess gave him a pointed look before sitting on the log next to the mossy brown haired boy but at the very end. As far as she could get away from him but still sitting next to him.
Kit looked at her and rolled his eyes.
“In my country,” he started, he’s accent seemed thicker than normal. “We get to choose a dragon egg if we so desire,”
“What about the parents of the eggs? Aren’t the parents protective of their young?” Jane intruders on the story.
Kit took a long and frustrated sigh. He’s head rested on his palm.
“Most dragans are extremely protective of their nest but since we have treated the dragans with respect on our land, they don’t really have a problem with us taking a few. The dragans know that we take extremely good care of their young,
“Talamh, my country’s name, loves dragans. So when children get ta the age of ten, they have the choice of getting a dragan or not. I choose ta get one. That’s how I got lucky and got Nir here.
“When ya get a dragan, ya make a bond with it. They can hear ya thoughts and ya can hear theirs. It’s as simple as that,”
“So when you said that how Nirvana knows what to do that’s how. That’s also how I decided to rescue ya,”
Jane was in shock. The whole reason that this foreigner decided to save her from an arranged marriage was because a dragon said to. So she sat there, dumbfounded, looking at the campfire and said nothing. How could she. A small part of her wished that he saved her because he wanted to not because someone told him to.
She was saddened by this. It was just a small part of her though. She just had to shake it off like anything else.
“Where are you going to take me?” She asked. “Are you going to drop me off at some place?”
Kit looked at her with mild surprise. He then looked at the fire, he’s hands clasped out in front of him.
“I’m not sure,” he started. “I could take you to my country, since ya can’t really go back to ya home after I kinda took ya. I’m really sorry about that,”
He actually looked kind of pitiful with that expression on his pretty face. Jane shifted uncomfortably on the log when she thought he was pretty. She didn’t need to think that. Instead the Princess wanted to know what this country, Talamh, was like. What Kit’s family was like, if he had any.
“Can you tell me more about yourself?” She coyly asked, turning her head to the right so that it rested on her shoulder and to peer at the young boy to her left.
“Oh, I’m interestin’ aren’t I?” Kit half heartedly boasted.
Jane grumbled and wanted to strangle the boy. He was almost right. That was the part that she hated the most.
When Jane realized her unladylike attitude, she quickly shook herself of those thoughts and began to speak to the older boy.
“It’s in that you are or are not interesting. It’s that I want to know more about you so I don’t make you,” she cut herself and corrected herself, “I don’t want to appear rude to you anymore. Getting to know you will help that,”
“You almost said to make me angry, huh?” Kit poked as he smirked cockily at the princess.
He was right, why did he seem like he was right about everything about her. It wasn’t fair in Jane’s opinion. She could not for the life of her figure out this boy. He seemed older than her, yes, but other than the observation of him, she didn’t have a clue what he was thinking.
She felt herself blush in embarrassment and slight anger. Her fists balled up in frustration of this boy. Or was it herself that she was beginning to become furious with? Jane couldn’t tell at this point.
She let out a strangled cry with her fingernails digging through her raven hair. She felt like pulling it out in frustration. Her slender fingers gradly slid out of her hair, down her face to cover her eyes and she let out a breath she had held in.
She peeked through her fingers when she heard a noise that emitted from the boy. Jane saw him get up from his spot on the other log and took a few strides towards her. He sat extremely close to her on her own log and leaned backwards as his glaze got lost in the brilliance of the fire.
Jane tried to shift her weight on the log to get a little bit farther from the daring male. It made no difference whatsoever because she was already at the edge of the log.
“I didn’t mean to get that angry with you,” the boy plainly put. It was like he had no emotion but in a weird way Jane could feel that he meant it. “I knew I shouldn’t have but it was the only way that I thought of on the spot that could shut you up. Other people I can deal with but you, you I don’t really understand,”
Jane’s eyebrows scrunched upwards as he said that. Why couldn’t he just talk to her like a person would? She guessed that even if he did she might be offended as she was a princess and wasn’t talked to like a normal person.
“Well if it makes you feel any better,” Jane gently inputted. “I’m kind of new to this whole talking to people. We could learn to talk to each other together, right?”
Kit turned to her and out stretched his hand to shake hers. Jane wrinkled her nose in slight disgust but shook it despite it.
“Let’s get some sleep ok? We’re moving a lot tomorrow to get to the mountains to fly to my country,”
And with that Kit laid out a couple of blankets to have her lay on with some for him too.

Dragon of Desire
Chapter two
Chapter Text
Kit was having a good day. He was making sales and a good chunk of change as well. He did have him and his dragon to feed and it’s no easy task to feed that dragon either. Nirvana was a big dragon. Bigger than most his age at least. He was ten feet long and standing he was about eight. And then there was the scales. Kit has to clean Nirvana’s scales one a month or his shiny black scales would become smugd. It happened once. Kit would never make that mistake again.
It was all run by this rich bitch thinking that she could just buy Nirvana. What a bitch. And that comment about getting a new shirt too! She really didn’t know anything about dragons, did she. Dragons had a tendency to breathe fire when they’re tired, hungry, mad, or in rare cases, extremely happy. In which was always the case as fire or smoke always were coming out of Nirvana. So in fact Kit was always a bit dirty.
The only thing that was good about that bitch was her money. That little dragon that she had bought was only worth three silver coins and yet she had given him seven coins in profit. He should have milked her a little bit more. Too bad though, this was his last day in the city. He was going to smaller villages in hopes to sell a bit more. Next he had planned to sell to Kamatayan, the Ogre country. He knows very well that he would just be sent away before selling anything, but if he did get in then he would have to present his goods to the king.
It was around midnight when all of the people had gone to their homes and when to sleep. That’s when Kit started to pack up the items and packed them in their bags. He had a lot more when he first came here. So then it didn’t take so long. For Nir, it probably feels a lot better. Kit then led Nirvana out of the city and into the woods. It wasn’t like he could get a hotel room for him and Nir. He didn’t think that he would even get in the lobby. The woods were better anyway. They were quiet. Besides, Kit had Nir to keep him warm throughout the night.
They found a small clearing and settled down for the night. Kit took off all the goods off of Nirvana and set them down next to him. Nirvana then curled up much like a cat then Kit gently laid under his wing all nice cozy. Nir was a walking heater, which was good for Kit because they had to do this so many nights. They like doing it too. They liked the stars, they had so many stories to tell yet they couldn’t say. In an odd way it was beautiful. Well some of the stories Kit did know. His mom and father told him themselves. In their country the stars and moon are a big thing.
Soon both Kit and Nirvana fell asleep to the sound of the wilderness and to each other’s breathing.
Kit awoke to the movement of Nirvana starting to wake up. He groaned as he rubbed his eyes away for any sleep that was still there. He got to his feet and reached his arms up to the newly lit sky. That not only stretched his arms but his whole body as well. It just felt great to do this every morning, got him ready for the day.
It didn’t take long for Kit to put everything back on Nirvana’s sides and back. After he was done, Kit started to led Nirvana to the nearest village that was on the west side of Zidora.
They started to hike up into the forest until it had become a lot less dense. The both of them still carried on the path that seemed to circle the whole country. Or was it around the whole continent? Kit wasn't sure. He was still extremely new to this place and its lay out.
It was their normal day. Get to a village, sell, move to the next. He made a lot of money that way too. It’s hard to get from one place to another when the waters are infested with monsters of the deep. Travel by sea was a big no. The only way is by flying. That means dragons or large flying animals. As far as Kit knows, there are none. That means that the content of Dores doesn’t get any visitors. That means that they haven’t seen the stuff that he has. In that case, they don’t know how much stuff is bought and the difference between the selling price. That means the Kit makes a lot of money.
It also helped that he was only there for one day in the villages. In the cities he was there are about three to five days. People couldn’t get enough of it. They bought a lot of stuff that he has to go back to his country after Kamatayan.
Four days. That’s how long it took Kit and Nirvana to get to Kamatayan. Four days of selling. Four days of profit. Four days that made Nirvana’s bags a bit lighter. At the end of four days the two were taken to the king almost instantaneously when they took a step on the ogre's land.
There were two giant ugly guards standing at the entrance of the giant gate into the country. Their giant spears pointed straight at Kit’s neck, their tips of iron right on the skin. Kit couldn’t even swallow in fear that he would get hurt. Nirvana had started to growl but quickly stopped after Kit waved his hand to sign him off, Nirvana lowered his head.
“‘ello fellas. Nice to meet ya. Name’s Kit. I’m here to see ya king, that’s if ya don’t mind. I mean I have a dragon,” Kit said slyly. By this time he was smirking at the two ogres.
Both of their faces scrunched up and they narrowed their eyes at the boy and his dragon. They grunted and the one on the left jester to the castle that was barely visible in the distance. Kit started to nod sarcastically with his eyes wide open.
“I just wanna sell me stuff and go home from there. Nothing more, nothing less. I got a few goods that I think that ya king and y’all might like to get ya hands on.”
“Then follow me. I will take you to the king. See if he wants you to see,” the ogre on the right replied. He then started to walk towards the gate that led into Kamatayan.
King Sragugork looked at the tiny human before him with his beady gray eyes. Kit just looked at the sickly pale ogre with the crown upon its head.
“So,” the king gargled, “You want to sell in my country? I’m not sure if that will be at all possible, you see. I have my wedding in a few days. My bride is coming as we speak. We will have a grand wedding,” he chuckled, spreading his arms out wide. It sounded more like a dying animal to Kit than anything else.
“Your Majesty, I do understand that but I just want to sell some more of my goods so the ride home will be easier on me dragon, that’s all.”
“If that is all then I guess that you might be able to stay in my castle for a few days to convince me to buy off of you.”
“I think that’s a deal,” Kit bowed. Sragugork pasted a wide disgusting smirk on his face.
“Servent! Come and show this trader where the stables are and his room.”
“Sorry your Majesty but me and Nirvana will stay in the same room. He doesn’t play well with other beasts. Plus how could I do that to him? He’s my best friend!”
The king narrowed his beady eyes and glared at both the rider and his dragon.
“I can’t have this beast devouring my pets now can I? My only say is that you will pick up the dropping and the mess that he might create. Deal?” He pointed a fat stumble finger at Kit and he had to swallow the vile that came up his throat.
“Of course,” he bowed, “I will do that without a second thought.”
Sragugork waved his hand that was covered in both hairs and warts, he was doing this to have a servant come and take Kit and Nirvana to their room for the time being. She was pretty for an ogre. She had less warts and hairs on her hands. Of course she was not Kit’s type at all. Not in any offense she just smelled. Kit did have a thing with people smelling.
Kit glared at the dragon in great rage, Nirvana gave him a crossed looked, either one was happy.
The three of them made it to the room with no problems and it was a large room at that. Kit and Nirvana were used to smaller confidments where they were from.
Kit’s family was big and not financially well off. They had money yet it was only so much. Being a merchant did wonders for both Kit and his family. Kit got to go and travel the world and see so much that others would never dream of. Not only the sights and money but the women as well. His family got more money to help with the taxes and food.
Kit stretched out his arms and dismissed the ogre servant. He then stretched his legs and torso. Making his way to the large round bed, Kit released the breath he didn’t know he was holding in. He flopped on the silky red sheets, lightly bouncing as he did so.
Nirvana, who by this time, joined Kit in the bed, laying down that he surrounded Kit in a semi closed circle. With nothing else to do, Kit finally relaxed. This had to be one of his longest trips away from home and he was tried. Mentally and physically. So many different people and all the moving. It was starting to take its toll on the both of them. The sheer amount of exhaustion that the two of them had been through and them quickly fell asleep.
Kit felt the hand of another tug him forward. He looked around and saw a flowery meadow all around him. The person pulling him was a woman but it was like she was blurred from his vision. She let go of his hand when they had gotten close to the middle of the yellow field and twirled in a few circles then fell onto the ground. Her beautiful laughter filled the silence.
The woman raised her head to look at him only to be brought back down to the ground by three little kids. For one reason or another, warmth and pride filled Kit’s chest.
“This is what to come,” A booming voice rang out across the meadow. As quickly as the meadow appeared it was gone in a flash. It was replaced with an abyss that has been exploded with stars. There in the middle of it all was a towering, even in a seated position, dragon covered in moss, bark, and stone. Kit glanced up to take in all of the forest dragon sage. His jaw dropped in awe. These kinds of dragons were said to be immortal and the first of the dragons.
“Why are we here? I’m not trying to be rude or anything, Your Greatness,” Kit explained with flapping hands. The dragon sage exhaled with a throaty chuckle.
“My child, there is not a reason for you to fret. However, threats will soon begin to surface, yet do not let them root you to the floor with fear. Overcome them all. You and this woman will start a bloodline that will save everything.”
Hearing those words rumble out of the sage’s throat scared Kit. Worries began to fill his head. The “what if’s”. What if she was taken? What if she grew to hate him? What if, he wasn’t good enough for her. He brought his hands up to his head and began to pant. The sage seeing this, raised his stone encrusted wings, stopping Kit’s thoughts.
“The universe made the two of you for each other, young one. There may be some ripples in the river but time will always set the water right.”
Kit scrunched his eyebrows in confusion. The sage was saying that no matter what, they would be together in the end? For the rest of their life?
The sage suddenly pointed their large, barky head towards where the sky should have been and rumbled,”It’s time for us to depart, young one,” as the encrusted wings cracked. The sage took off into the starry abyss, leaving Kit to fall straight into darkness.
Spring forth from the bed, Kit was panting heavily in a cold sweat. His eyebrows still knitted in confusion. Had that really happened? Did he really just meet a legendary sage? His head was pounding with questions. The main one being was it all real? Was there really an equivalent to a soulmate for him? Did he really deserve that?
Of course he did. He just had to believe in himself. He thought, threading his hands throughout his long mossy brown hair.
Kit jumped that the sudden knock at his camber’s door. He quickly shouted a come in as he covered his body up with the blankets and gingerly a pretty ogre lady came in. She wore a long brown dress with a white apron. Plain but pretty.
“Is there anything that you need, master Kit?,” she asked politely, bowing a little bit. “Is there anything that you would like for breakfast?”
Kit blinked in surprise. Never had he been doted on like this. Of course people have doted on him, people like his mother and past lovers but never like this. He continued to stare at the ogre.
“Sir?”
“No, no I don’t want anything.”
“If that’s what you wish, sir” the maid bowed and left the room.
Nirvana had looked at Kit with his full attention. Rolling his eyes, Kit went to the bathroom taking a new pair of pants and a shirt. After getting himself presentable, he ushered both himself and Nirvana out of the grand chambers and followed the long and winding hallways to explore. Soon he ran into someone quite literary.
He found himself on the floor and rubbing his head. When he opened his eye it was then he saw who he had run into. It was that same girl who had insulted him. He blinked in surprise as to why she was here in Kamatayan at the same time as he was.
It seemed that she was surprised at his appearance as well because she looked like she had just pissed herself in front of a crowd.
“What, what are you doing here?” The girl squawked.
“I could ask you that same thing here, girly,” came the snarky reply as Kit stood up. He rolled his eyes at himself as he offered his hand to help the girl up.
She grabbed it and Kit hoisted her up. She made an annoyingly cute squeak as he did so. He scowled at himself for thinking it was cute in any form.
The two quickly released their hold on one another and looked away from one another.
“I’m here to sell some more stuff before going back home to restock,” Kit crossed his arms and looked up at the high ceiling. “What about you?”
Kit stole a look at her before she answered. She was looking at her shoes if they were the most interesting thing in the world but with a crestfallen look on her face.
“I’m here to marry the king,” she replied in a soft voice. “I don’t have much of a choice on the matter anyways,” she commented as she leaned against the wall.
Kit felt a pang of guilt when she said that. People should have the right to marry whoever they want to, not just in the roll of the dice. Even more so if it was that thing they called a king. He looked to be the age of his dad and she was definitely younger than himself. That’s just gross.
He took a couple of steps towards the girl and patted her shoulder. She looked up at him with giant glossy sapphire eyes. Her brows twisted in confusion.
“I’m sorry,” Kit whispered. He knew that it wouldn’t help. How could it?
She lunged at him, wrapping her arms around his thin waistline. She had buried her head into his chest as she started to sob.
He gently rubbed his right hand on her head when his left one rubbed the small of her back. He wasn’t going to be an ass right now. This wasn’t the time. This girl, a princess, was being forced to marry someone she didn’t know. That would've been hard on anyone. All Kit could do right now was try to comfort her.
After a few long minutes, the girl unwrapped herself from Kit and wiped her eyes.
“I’m,” she started, “I’m truly sorry about what happened,”
“About this?” Kit inquired. He didn’t really know what she was talking about.
“About that day in the market a few days ago?”
Kit’s mind clicked. That’s what she was talking about. The day she was a total bitch. Of course he couldn’t forgive her. At least not yet. He didn’t want to. He just nodded in acknowledgement. He really didn’t wasn’t her to know that he didn’t forgive her.
“I don’t think I told you mine name yet,”
“No you haven’t,”
“Jane,”
“Kit,”
“I know. I remember from the day at the market,”
“Well then I must have been on your mind. If I only said it once and that was four days ago,”
“Don’t you start you,”
“Hey I’m not,” Kit chuckled, putting his hands up.
Jane huffed and crossed her arms, not finding it very amusing. But still Kit kept laughing. In his mind gears were turning as to how he could help this girl.
Footsteps were heard as the pair fell silent and backed away from each other. A human maid, as to the looks of it, came out from around the corridor.
“Jane, boy, you are both needed in the main hall,” the maid announced and turned around to lead the both of them to the hall.
Just then Kit realized that Nirvana wasn’t with him throughout the whole exchange with Jane. He looked around to see the river dragon bouncing around with all of his things on his back.
“Where have you been, you crazy dragon?” He questioned gently placing his hands on the dragon’s head and shaking slightly. The dragon just rolled his tongue out and licked Kit.
“Come on, Nirvana,”
It only took a good ten minutes to get to the main hall. There was the king with his advisors and maids. As the group came to a stop, the king beconded Jane to come forth and stand by his side.
She did so reluctantly, even turning around to glance at Kit. It made him so upset and angry that she had to put up with this.
‘What if we took her home with us?’
Kit rose a brow at Nirvana. He had been oddly silent during this trip.
‘And how are we going to do that?’
‘Grabbing her?’
‘We shou-‘
‘We’ll do it!’
Huffing out, Kit mounted Nirvana and spoke aloud.
“You know King Samual! I think I’m going now.”
The king looked surprised at the least. As did Jane but with a hint of sadness to it. Kit gave the short girl a wide smirk as Nirvana spread his wings.
“You know what else, Sam? I think I’m going to take something from you,”
Everyone was surprised as to what he said. Only a blur of black and blue were seen before Nirvana and Kit stood over Jane.
Kit grabbed her waist and pulled her close to his body. And just like that they darted out of the castle and into the wild of the north with Jane screaming her lungs out
