The first thing Childe thinks seeing you in such a state is who did this to you and how much time it will take him to hunt them down and make them pay tenfold. All he sees is red the moment he notices you, eyes filled with unshed tears threatening to spill.

But this isn’t an enemy he can take down, not like he can do with threats such as treasure hoarders or hilichurls. This is something he can’t deal with with a fight. However, even if he may look a little dense sometimes, he understands.

We cannot forget he had a rough story himself, so I don’t think I’m wrong if I suppose he has had his own share of stress back then and he probably had to deal with it alone. He knows what it feels like, and because of that he will never leave you alone.

Childe will need a few seconds to calm himself and stop thinking of fighting someone to take out all his fury before going to you and taking you in his arms. No matter how tall you are or how much you weigh, this man is strong, there’s nothing -not even yourself- that will make him put you down until he takes you to the bathroom to run you a warm bath with every single luxury you can think of.

You won’t need to do a single thing. Ajax will take care of everything. He’ll wash your whole body, taking his time so he can give you a massage meanwhile. Not gonna lie, Tartaglia is trying to make you sleep to make you recover your energy.

If you fall asleep, you’ll wake up in your bed with Tartaglia right there, cuddling you. He probably won’t let you leave, tempting you without shame so you’ll spend the morning in bed. Ajax wants to pamper you, making you laze around even if it’s just for a few hours.

In case you aren’t able to fall asleep because you have too many things in your head, don’t be surprised if Tartaglia asks you to fight (or have sex, since that also can work wonders for stress and he’s kinda shameless). Letting out all the bottled up stress with a good quarrell might be exactly what you need. You two just need to find a solitary place where you’ll be able to scream and fight without interruptions until you’re both satisfied or too tired to do anything else but lay on the ground and look at the sky.

Zhongli knows how much stress can affect people, since even gods are able to suffer from it. This man will treat you like the most precious, fragile thing in the whole world. No matter how strong you are, when you’re feeling down you are allowed to show weakness and to be protected and that’s exactly what he’s going to do.

Using the most lovely pet names he has for you, Zhongli will shower you with them until you look at him and he’s able to take you in his arms and hug you carefully, giving you enough room to get out of his arms if you feel overwhelmed.

Whether you stay in his arms or need some space, Zhongli will coax you to the sofa so you can sit there. If you don’t want to be touched, he’ll go directly to make you a soothing tea -and not, he won’t take six hours for this one, don’t worry- but if you don’t want to leave his side, Zhongli will move you to his lap and keep you there.

His hands will never leave your body, always caressing your cheeks, head, back… Honestly, he will touch every single place he knows will allow you to calm down while at the same time encouraging you to let it all out. Sometimes, a good cry is just what you need. Zhongli knows and will lend you his shoulder so you can get all of those tears out of your body.

Kisses will also be present. Like his hands, his lips will be all around the places he can touch. Your face will be showered in them, as well as your hair, hands, shoulder… Zhongli is smooth as hell, and will kiss your tears away -as well as any worry you have- if you let him.

He’s not trying to start anything sexual with his touches and kisses, but if you want to he won’t deny you at all. Whatever you need, Zhongli will be there for you and as long as you’re both comfortable there is nothing he won’t do to make you feel good and loved.

If you don’t fall asleep while he’s taking care of you, Zhongli is the type who will try to make you talk. It doesn’t matter if it’s something related to the source of your stress or something completely different, he’s happy just by having a conversation with you even if it’s just him listening and you’re doing the talk or vice versa.

PS: I hope Scaramouche is not too OOC, we don’t know much about him so I just tried to guess his personality based on what we have seen of him in-game so far.

That’s why he will never force you to do anything that will be difficult for you, and will easily adapt to your limits and routines. It doesn’t matter to him that you cannot go out exploring or can’t fight like other people. You are you, and you love him, that’s everything he could ever wish for.

Your insecurities aren’t a secret for him. Venti is old and too clever to not be aware of this, that’s why you’ll never have a chance to confess those thoughts. Every single time you’ll try to tell him to break up or talk about how you’re not the best partner he can have -or anything remotely similar- he will appear from nowhere and make you feel respected, loved and cared for.

As long as you want to be with him, Venti will never break up with you no matter how many excuses you might come up with to make him see he’ll be happier with another by his side. None of that matters, as long as your love for him is sincere.

I picture Kaeya like an insecure man who hides behind a confident mask, that’s why he’ll worry about your condition even in your “good days”, always worrying that you have everything you need just in case.

The captain is an sly fox, clever and observant. There’s no way that he won’t know about your insecurities. Be it because he has his own insecurities or just because he will notice even the most subtle hints, Kaeya -like Venti- will act before you get the chance to even think about it.

If he’s free, every single time he sees your thoughts take the best of you he will pamper you like there’s no tomorrow, whispering cheesy -and embarrassing- things to your ear until your beet red and praying to Barbatos for him to stop. You might even need some help to take him away, because can be super clingy when this happens not only because he wants you to know he doesn’t care about your limitations, but also because he doesn’t want you to leave him no matter what.

If he has work to do, Kaeya will make sure that someone is by your side -probably Noelle since she knows her way around and probably has experience on how to take care of people- to make sure you don’t feel abandoned or have the chance to let your insecurities consume you. Kaeya loves you, and he will be sure to show you in every way he can, even if he’s not there with you physically. Expect him to come home with trinkets and gifts after his job is done, and an insane amount of pet names.

We don’t know a lot about Scaramouche but I think he can be a little difficult to handle. As a harbinger, he is strong, and probably has made a lot of difficult missions that he can use to show off, which sometimes can be good, but other times can only worsen your insecurities if you try to compare the both of you.

The thing is, you shouldn't do that. Scaramouche has chosen to be with you, and for someone who looks like a prideful smart ass, that's a lot. I mean, he looks like the type who only cares about a few things, and if you are one of those things you should feel honored, not insecure.

That’s why Scaramouche might not get it at first. He knows about your condition, and cares a lot about your health but will never see you as a burden and will reduce to ashes anyone who dares to say so to you or him. He doesn’t understand why you think you’re not his best partner when he -the only person that should matter in your couple choices- thinks the complete opposite.

You might need to come clean with him, not because he’s not smart -in fact, he is- but because his pride doesn’t let him see that you -the one he chose, his s/o- are plagued with dark thoughts, much more since those are born from something out of your control. However, the conversation won’t be long and you won’t even have time to tell him you should break up.

As I said, he is a smart one, and even if his pride makes him blind to your insecurities at first, he won’t need long to get it once you explain. Just a few words and he’ll stop you -probably with a kiss-, tell you that those thoughts are useless and that you should stop worrying, because he’s not gonna let you leave him just because of this. Despite what you or others might think, you are his partner and that’s not gonna change just because you have health issues.

The cuddles.

Zhongli is an old soul who has traditions rooted deeply in his character, so he may not be comfortable with PDA, preferring to keep it subtle when you’re in public. However, he will allow every single display of affection and will initiate some when you are in a private space, especially if you live together.

The best moment for you two to cuddle is the night and the slow evenings. I picture Zhongli as an early bird who will probably get ready even before you wake up. That being said, he will never leave for work without giving you a kiss on the forehead or a hug if you’re already awake.

If he’s free, Zhongli will always let you cuddle him, or even will ask for it himself. His favourite cuddle time is when he’s reading or telling a story, with you two seated on the same sofa or lying down on the bed. You are always welcomed to sit on his lap or sleep above him. He’s a strong and tall man, he can take the weight and will feel secure and loved having you in his arms without caring if you are taller or bigger than him.

There are times when Zhongli will not even ask before going to you for cuddles. Those days where his bad memories don’t leave his mind and fill him with sorrow and nostalgia are moments where he’ll seek you for comfort and security. Cuddling you is the best way to ground him to the present, to the happy times you are sharing together. For those, the position he prefers is with his face pressed to your breasts, so he can hear and feel your heartbeat, maybe even letting himself be lulled to sleep by it.

The kiss.

It will depend if you are in public or in private. Zhongli will never reject a kiss from you, but will be a little embarrassed if you kiss him -specially if you do it like that- in front of others.

Lowkey will be cocky if you kiss him like that in front of Childe, but no one will ever know since he is an expert in keeping a straight face. In front of Hu Tao, however, you’ll be able to see how his cheeks got an adorable pink hue that he won’t be able to hide.

In summary, if you want to see a flustered Zhongli don’t hesitate to kiss him in front of others. Even if he scolds you for that he still loves the ways you show how much he means to you.

If you’re in private, Zhongli will reciprocate immediately. You’ll even notice the smile on his lips and how his arms embrace you to push you into his body until there’s no air between you. Not gonna lie, if you’re up for it this kiss will probably lead to a make up session or even to bed since Zhongli is not immune to desire or lust, but if you’re only seeking to share a romantic kiss he’s more than happy to oblige. That being said, be prepared, you won’t be leaving his arms any time soon.

The cuddles.

If you want PDA, he’s your man. You won’t even need to give a hint or ask directly, every single time you’re near him he will want only two things: to fight you -even if it’s just playfully, with teasing words and affectionate pushes- and to cuddle you.

It’s even better if you are in public so he can show you off. This man is so open with his affections for you that everyone can get second hand embarrassment just by watching how cheesy he can be. Though if you aren’t that comfortable with public glances, he will stick to holding hands or embracing your waist.

Even if he’s a harbinger and should be more subtle about your relationship, there’s nothing that can stop this man. He’s confident in his strength, which means that your safety is in his capable hands. Ajax thinks you’re safer making everyone know you are his s/o than keeping it a secret. If everyone knows your man is a harbinger, who will even try to harm you? Or make a move on you? No one, unless they want Childe to beat them up.

Tartaglia doesn’t like to share your affection, but will have to concede if you like to cuddle his siblings, especially Teucer who will probably start calling you “sister” right away. He will be jealous, and will complain to you when you’re alone, but at the same time he will feel extremely happy to see you getting along with his family because, for him, you are already part of it.

The kiss.

For Ajax it doesn’t matter if you’re in public or in private, he will have a big, cocky smirk on his lips and will counterattack your kiss with one of his own, making you the one who’ll be flustered in the end.

Don’t tell anyone, but you have probably taken him by surprise so no, that red in his cheeks is not part of your imagination but it will disappear as soon as Childe recovers his composure and kiss you back.

If he’s feeling playful he will also take your cheeks in his hands and give you a big smooch, one of those that can be heard aloud. He won’t even care if others see you, in fact, that’s exactly what he wants. For everyone to see that you are with him and that none of you are afraid to show. It makes him proud and gives him an ego boost to have others watching how much you love each other.

But Tartaglia is also a man of action, and can be riled up extremely easy so don’t be surprised if he takes you directly home or even somewhere near that has a little privacy -if you’re up for it he may even just take you to an alleyway- and have his way with you. You woke up the beast, now you’ll have to deal with the consequences ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The cuddles.

Honestly, we’re talking about Flirty Man nº1, if you’re thinking Kaeya will pass on the opportunity to cuddle you is because you don’t know him at all. The captain might be busy with work -much more if we take into account that Jean is a workaholic and, sometimes, Kaeya will need to take some of her work so she will not pass out- but most of the time that work is done in the office, so don’t be afraid and go to him.

Having you on his lap while he’s writing down reports and organizing papers is the best way to make him productive, because the sooner he finishes, the sooner he will be able to spend his free time with you.

But don’t even think he will keep it private. Oh no, if he has to grant an audience to someone he will just let them in and hear them while you are still there, cuddled in his arms without caring what others might think. Honestly, all of Mondstat might already know that if they want to see Kaeya, they’ll probably see you too. And it will not be the first time you have to scold him for looking at your breasts while in an audience.

In private he is no better. In the city of freedom everyone respects each other’s routines and private space, but Kaeya might be a little too clingy so don’t fear to tell him so. Even if you are a couple you will still need some time alone or to spend with others, and you need to tell him. He’s smart, even if you just drop a hint that you need to go somewhere without him or want to spend a day apart he will understand. Kaeya will for sure pout and whine, and will cuddle you like a madman when you get back -he might even try to put you in the mood by touching your sweet spots “by accident”- but he won’t ever try to fight because that’s your decision and he respects it.

The kiss.

Kaeya is a flirty one and looks like someone who will get easily aroused, which is not really false, but I think that what he craves most is not sex, but intimacy. That’s why I think that a kiss like this one even if it arouses him will probably not evolve into a steamy make out.

The Cavalry Captain will prefer to keep things on the safe side, just to enjoy your love and affection in an innocent way, to reassure himself that your relationship is not just one born out of desire.

Behind his cheeky mask I picture an insecure man that fears to let others get too close, someone who knows the pain of losing people he loves and doesn’t want to repeat the experience. That’s why having you show your affection to him in such a manner will make him melt in your arms. It makes him think that you’ll never leave, that no matter what happens, you will always be with him.

Honestly, at first he will want to fight you to see how well he can go against a dendro user, since dendro has an advantage against water. Though since you are a healer and kind in nature he will back down soon if you don’t want to fight, not wanting to put you in a tough situation -unless you are a healer like Jean or Qiqi, who heal based on their ATK, in that case, he will insist a little more before giving up-.

Above all, he loves how dedicated you are to others and to nature. He probably won’t understand much about plants and the like because he comes from a place where nature is scarce and tough, where only the strong ones survive but will never belittle your ways. People care for a lot of different things, nature is one of yours and so he will respect it.

Being a healer with a loving heart will make him think you two are more or less opposite poles, like he doesn’t suit -or deserves- you at all because of how he is, because of the things he does for the Tsaritsa. Childe will try to hide those thoughts, to keep them all to himself and deal with them later on but as your relationship grows you’ll be able to notice something is bothering him. Don’t let him brush it off, talking about his insecurities is a good way to get rid of them and to make your relationship stronger.

Expect him to take you out on “scenery dates” full of beautiful landscapes or go on a picnic near the most colourful flower beds he can find. Liyue is perfect for dates like this since it’s full of little animals and flowers around the city, and so he will probably take you out even if it’s just to spend time with the cats and dogs that go around the streets.

Since you are kind and loving, he won’t hesitate to introduce you to his siblings, hoping you will get along and they will see you as their new sister, maybe you will even show them how to take care of plants and animals in a way he’ll never be able to since those are things that doesn’t interest him that much.

He loves to be with you and feel like he is just Ajax, but we can’t forget that he’s still a harbinger, and he’s still him, a fighter, someone who loves a good challenge so it’s inevitable that he will usually come back to you with fresh wounds and torned clothes, hoping you won’t get mad and will help him patch them up.

Spoiler alert, you will get mad, not because he’s bothering you but because you care for him, and you fear that next time the wounds will be more severe, or that he won’t come back at all. So you’ll have to scold him, tell him your fears while you’re healing him so he will know how much you worry, and how many people will get hurt if someday he enters a fight he won’t be able to leave alive.

I can’t say if he will be able to change his ways, because he is who he is, but I’m sure he will try to be less reckless when he fights and will try to not pick a fight with people he knows he can’t win or escape from. He has a family and a loving one waiting for him to come back, so he will do everything he can to do so, even if it’s just to see you and his siblings one more time.

If I’m correct, Chinese culture has healers and doctors in high reward, more so since traditional chinese medicine relies on herbs -please correct me if I’m wrong- so expect Zhongli to be the same. The moment he knows you are a healer that cares for nature his respect for you -which was already high- will get a boost.

As Liyue’s ex-archon, he knows how difficult it is to care for others, to be there for people when they need you while putting all your necessities aside, to make them your number one priority. Zhongli is no stranger to self-sacrifice for the sake of others, he has thousands of years of experience on that.

Won’t take him long to take you to Guizhong’s favourite places. She was a good friend of his who also cared a lot about nature, and since you two share similar interest he will be elated to be able to share her thoughts with you, hoping Guizhong will see how, even after all these millenia, her people are still thriving and that even some of them have inherited her will. He won’t see Guizhong on you, he won’t mistake you for her, but it’s a fact that he will think that you and the goddess would have been good friends if fate would have allowed it.

He will be extremely proud of you, but nothing will be able to make him stop worrying. You are caring, you devote yourself to heal others, you care about fauna and flora, but what about you? Are you taking good care of yourself? Do you care for your wellbeing as much as you care for the wellbeing of the rest of the living beings? Whether you do or not, Zhongli will be there for you, to always remember you when to take a break, to serve you relaxing tea so you will be able to sleep without disturbance, to accompany you in herb gathering or to simply take care of your plants and/or pets, even if it’s just keeping them company or talking their ears -and leaves?- off with his stories.

Zhongli wants to keep you as you are, to make sure your loving nature won’t ever wither or be tainted by the cruelty of the world. That’s why he can be a little overprotective, and will try to follow you whenever he thinks you can encounter some danger even if it’s just a remote possibility. He will never forgive himself if something happens to you, or if someone takes advantage of your kindness.

He means well, but sometimes you might need to be stern and tell him that yes, you are a woman, a healer, a giver, but you still can take care of yourself on your own and you don’t need for him to follow you like a bodyguard, much less ask Xiao to shadow you whenever he can’t. You are a grown up girl, you lived your life just fine before he came, and even if you love him and want him to never leave, you can deal with your daily life by yourself.

It may take you some tries, and he might be reluctant, but Zhongli understands and will abide to your desires, he will restrain his overbearing feelings when he sees you are getting uncomfortable -specially those times your kindness gets the best of you and makes you keep silent about it- and will try to soothe you later with gifts.

With Zhongli, you can also discuss medicine. He has lived long and I’m sure Baizhu and you aren’t the first dendro healers he has known, so he will be extremely happy to share his knowledge about herbology and medicine with you, even trying to help you improve your dendro powers to not only assure himself you will be ready to defend yourself if the times comes, but that you also improve as a healer so you’ll be able to keep saving lifes, to keep doing what you love the most with a smile on your face.

Black Eagles, Blue Lions, or Golden Deers?

Blue Lions was my first choice and I don’t regret it. It’s the class I love the most, though I’m the type of player that has to collect every single character so I ended up with everyone in my class save for the leaders and their aides xD

I still didn’t finish the other routes because I don’t have a lot of time to put another 100 hours in each one, but the lions have a special place in my heart <3 And some of my favourite ships like Dedue x Mercedes or Felix x Annette.

Second will come the Golden Deers, with my simping ass falling for Claude and Hilda, or the must protect duo of Marianne and Ignatz... and don’t make me talk about Lysithea, I love her so much!

And third are the Black Eagles with beautiful Dorothea or Bernadetta -please let me adopt you girl, you’re so precious...- making me weak for different reasons. I don’t simp with the eagles as much as I do with other characters but gosh, they are by no means inferior to the other classes at all, each one of them with their own pasts and problems to overcome...

Seriously, this game is just too good and the characters are fricking amazing! That’s why I can’t say I dislike any of the classes since all of them -including the Ashen Wolves- have interesting characters and amazing stories.

The most traditional one, as expected. True gentleman who will open doors for you, help you sit and/or take the heavy things out of your hands even if you’re clearly capable of doing everything on your own. Olberic means no harm nor disrespect, he’s only trying to make you comfortable so if you don’t like this kind of behaviour, just tell him and he’ll gradually stop doing it -just give him time-.

Out of the four boys, he’s one of the two who is not exactly fond of PDA. Olberic will never -hear me, never- turn you down if you want a kiss, a hug or hold hands or any other sign of affection, but he’ll be rather embarrassed of doing it in public -you can tease him a little, but don’t pressure him too much-.

I picture him like a great storyteller. If you have a fireplace you two can have dates at home where you enjoy exchanging stories -or listening to his tales if you prefer to listen instead of to tell- while drinking and having snacks.

Dating with this man is a full courtship. From the obvious things such like getting you flowers to having fancy dinners, scorting you to places and giving you little presents. He’s a humble one so nothing he’ll give you will be too fancy, but every single thing is chosen or even hand-made with great care.

You know that meme “I know how to kiss, I read it in a book”? He’s exactly like that. Cyrus has zero experience with this kind of relationship and even if he knows what love is, he only knows the theoretical part of it. Because of this, it will be you who will take the initiative until he gets some experience.

 Cyrus will learn firstly from books, and secondly from you, so expect to correct him in some parts since we all know books tends to exaggerate or put a “beauty filter” in everything, especially romantic novels that are his primary source.

That being said, Cyrus is a good man, even if a little oblivious, he’ll never do anything with the intention to offend or brush off your advances. PDA is fine for him but don’t be too clingy at first, take your time to get to know each other before doing anything bold.

Library dates and picnics are a must with this man. Just the two of you, with some books to pass the time and sandwiches to eat while you comment your different points of views about a novel or a research. But don’t worry, if you’re not the scholar type or reading is not your cup of tea, he’ll understand and will try to balance by doing things you enjoy even if he doesn’t.

First of all, congratulations. Getting this dork into a romantic relationship and not getting stuck in the pinning/crush phase is a feat in itself. Therion will deny any kind of feeling at first but don’t give up, if you’re sincere and he likes you too, Therion will come around, eventually.

No PDA for him, sorry. He’s worse than Olberic. Where the knight will let you be and only try to keep it at the bare minimum, Therion will openly refuse the bolder displays. You’ll get lucky if he lets you hold hands out in the open. Don’t blame him though, he had a rough life and is not used to being with someone, much less receiving affection. But Therion will also try to compensate you, giving you little trinkets -some of them stolen, he’s still a thief- and cuddling you in private.

He’s a smart ass. Even if he doesn’t have any experience, unlike Cyrus who will have no issue admitting it, Therion will deny it and even proclaim he has experience, which can only lead to some embarrassing situations but let him have this. Therion’s pride will thank you if you just let it pass.

Dates with Therion are rare, since he’s not exactly the romantic type and doesn’t like things like meals at fancy restaurants. If you want to spend time together, take a stroll with him, go sightseeing to places you like and just enjoy the day with him in a natural way. Share with him snacks on the way, let him steal things for you -even if you later pay them without him knowing- and be together, even if it’s in silence.

PDA master. Prepare yourself because when he gets over his shy phase you’ll have him attached to your hip. Holding hands, cheek kisses, hugs, a hand on your waist or shoulders, playing with your clothes or hair… He’s bolder enough to give you a french kiss in front of someone so be warned.

Don’t even think about having an unhealthy life-style with him around. Even if you don’t like it, Alfyn will make his personal goal to make you change your bad habits using tricks and being subtle or direct when needed but never by force. He wants you to be healthy, but not at the cost of your happiness.

Boy sure is talkative, and if you let him talk he will start rambling about everything while doing other things like organizing his herbs or massaging your shoulders -let him do it, he knows how to use his hands-.

Every single date you have in mind, Alfyn will try it. He’s not picky at all, though it’s true that he prefers simple things, especially those related to nature. Like Cyrus, picnics are one of his favourites, but he also likes walking with you through town or going searching for herbs with you. Alfyn is a countryside boy, if you are too he will be happy, but if you’re not don’t worry, just tell him the things you like and he’ll try them. As I said, he’s not picky at all and can adapt quickly.

Just a self indulgent piece. I've been feeling like my body is against me -I can't sleep at night and my body aches- so my intention to play Hades to inspire my next piece went out the window like that office meme and was replaced by this one.

At first I thought of writing it with Dante (DMC) but I wasn't in the mood to make him a banner and I had Law's one done, and he's a doctor so I thought it would be a good pair. I'm not completely satisfied with this one but hey, I'm feeling better now that I wrote something, even if it's not what I originally thought.

“I hate this.”

A grunt escapes your mouth only to be muffled by the pillow you’re using to sink your face. The position is uncomfortable, you feel suffocated with your nose buried in the pillow and your breasts being pressed against the mattress.

But it’s this, or laying on your side and feeling your hip cry in anguish; or laying on your back and for the same to happen to your shoulders and neck.

Today is one of those days in which everything hurts for no reason. Your body feels heavy and the extreme heat of the submarine doesn’t help at all, not when you feel your sweat dripping to the bed and your hair sticking to your skin and everything, feels, wrong.

Taking a cold shower sounds delightful, but you have no strength at all. The mere idea of having to get off the bed, of moving your limbs and then force your whole body up and out of the room makes you dizzy and sore.

And it makes you mad, because you didn’t do anything for all your existence to be against you today. You didn’t force your body yesterday nor the past week -no more than usual, at least- and you didn’t even expect your bloody torture to come back for around two more weeks, but even so you feel like you’ve been hit by Bepo.

“Stop whining.” A voice you usually love goes to your ears but his words aren’t pleasant, and not what you want to hear right now either.

“I’m not in the mood.” Your tone confirms it, and the man stops right at your side, his attempt at playful banter with you forgotten and replaced by worry.

“You’re hurt?” He’s concerned, even if he’s usual flat tone doesn’t show it.

“Yes, and no.” That’s not an answer, so you try to elaborate after moving enough for your mouth to not be pressed to the pillow. “My body just decided it wanted to be in pain and I didn’t sleep at all last night and if I move I feel like all my bones will break and…”

“Ok, ok, I get it.” He huffs and you give him the stinky eye, frowning hard and staring directly into his grey eyes with your angry ones.

If looks could kill…

He sighs through his nose, knowing he souldn’t have used that condescending tone but too prideful to say he’s sorry about it. So he tries something else.

“Get up, I’ll give you a check-up.” But that makes things worse.

“What part of ‘everything hurts’ you didn’t get? I don’t want to move.” Or do anything at all.

“This is about your health, not what you want.” You huff, petty and not less angry now that he’s using those patronizing words with you. “Now up, I can’t check you here.” He frowns, confused and not amused at your lack of cooperation. You’re the one in pain, not him.

You’re the one who should be asking for his help but all you do is keep being stubborn, refusing him when he’s even going out of his usual comfort zone to offer it to you. It’s just not his style, but he’s doing it anyway because it’s you.

However, you’re not grateful at all. And that is beginning to make him mad.

“Sure, it’s so easy for you to say that when you don’t have two stupid bags of meat hanging from your chest and making your back ache even when you’re using a bra.”

“Want me to take them off?” He asks right away with a frustrated look.

If it were someone else, you would have thought they’re messing with you but with Law’s devil fruit you know he’s capable of doing it, and honestly? Sometimes you feel tempted by the offer, but not now. Now is pissing you off.

“No, I don’t want to, and I don’t want a stupid check-up or for you to ask me questions and write them down on a medical record. I don’t need you as a doctor.”

At that, he frowns deeper, pride probably hurt and beginning to feel the heat of anger on the pit of his stomach. Law has little patience for people in general, and you’re putting it to test. If you weren’t his partner he wouldn’t even bother talking to you.

“Look, I’m not going to waste my time. If you don’t want my help...”

“That’s not what I mean, Law!” You cut him before he could finish, getting up and sitting on the bed so you can be more on eye level with him.

You know where this conversation is going and you don’t like it. He doesn’t, either, but arguments are usually like that between you two. Even with someone as blunt as Law there is always room for misunderstanding when you two talk. You have chemistry, that’s undeniable, but sometimes the mix is an unstable one that can explode at any second.

Frustrated, you let out a heavy sigh. You try to calm your breathing, to calm your mind full of nothing and everything at the same time. You sigh again, but this time you take your hair out of your face and look directly at him, a little calmer now at least.

“Right now, I don’t want you to pester me with medical info and the like.” Not the best start, but it’s something and at least your voice is low now. “I don’t want you to be my doctor, Law.” If you think about it, it feels strange.

A doctor will be really helpful right now, especially one as capable as your captain, but it’s your heart the one talking now, not your brain. Judging by the look he gives you, Law also finds it strange, but doesn’t comment on it even if it’s just for the sake of not arguing again.

“Then, what?” He’s impatient, nerves still on edge. Maybe he’s expecting your next words to bring back the tension and explode into a fight, and he’s not in the mood for that. None of you are.

“I need for you to be my partner.” That takes him off-guard, surprise not evident but clear in the way one of his eyebrows arches and his hands relax the grip he had on his own arms. “I need you to stop thinking about which kind of medicine I should take, to not tell me to go to the medic room to do a check-up and instead go to the kitchen and bring me water, and a snack, and maybe resurface this stupid submarine so I can go out to get some fresh air to stop melting.”

That last one is a little unreasonable since you’re travelling and it’s dangerous to go out just to satisfy your whim, but you hope he’s getting the point.

“I want you to tell me to do nothing, to lay down and relax while you spoil me and hear me rant.” You’re not asking for the impossible.

You’re not even asking him for his affection if that makes him uncomfortable. You’ll do with his time and a little bit of his attention, enough to hear you complain and actually listen to it instead of ignore you or hum just to pacify you.

“Right now, I want you to be my boyfriend, not my doctor, much less my captain.” That’s the summary, and for the looks of it, Law understands.

It takes a little, half a minute or so of silence while you look into each other’s eyes as if trying to decipher some kind of puzzle. More times than not, your emotions are just that: a riddle looking for someone to get it right and solve it.

More times than not, Law is that one.

“That’s all?” But he asks anyway, because he knows you and if people in pain can be a hassle, you can be even worse and he wants to be sure you’re on the same page.

“That’s all… But if you give me a massage too it will be wonderful.” You smile to say goodbye to the tension between you two, and he does too, more a smirk than a smile but it makes you feel butterflies in the belly all the same.

“Don’t push your luck.”

“Or what?” Your smile widens right before a laugh escapes your mouth when he uses his hand on your face to push you to the bed in a playful but also careful manner.

“Or I’ll eat your snacks on the way here.” You fake a whine, watching him get up and go through the door to -you suppose- make his way to the kitchen to bring you the food you’re craving.

Expecting Law to appear with Bepo carrying a big stash of comfort food it surprises you to see him walk barehanded. But before you can ask him anything he takes you princess style and carries you to the bathroom.

There’s no steam floating around, and the warm water with a hint of coldness makes you sigh in delight when he helps you undress and lowers you in the tub, being slow, careful with every one of his actions.

You look at him, focusing your gaze on the way he awkwardly tries to sort out the snacks laying in the basket at his feet while trying to get comfortable on the stool. You can’t help but smile, enamoured by the way he’s trying his best even when this is not his forte.

“You’re the best”. Dreamlike tone, hushed voice filled with love and gratitude. You really needed this, needed him.

“Hm, I know.” You huff, almost laughing and breaking a little the tooth-rotting sweet atmosphere in favor of an easy-going one.

“How humble of you.”

“Just shut up and eat.”

And this time, you’re more than happy to obey.

General

A people's man. He loves to get in contact with others as seen when he interacts with his fans.

Maybe a little attention seeker if you ask me, but not in an unhealthy way.

He likes to show off and you cannot change my mind. Just look at his pose when he fights. If that’s not sassy, I don’t know what it is.

Probably had a hard time when little because everyone compared him to his mom and had great expectations of him due to her fame.

I think at first he chose rock-type to be able to have the advantage over his mom if they were to fight.

He probably suffers a lot after a defeat. It’s cannon that he locks himself in the locker room, and the fans find it endearing, but I once suffered a rather unfair defeat in a competition so I can imagine him feeling what I did that time. He probably feels extremely disappointed with himself for a few hours at least, until he cools his head and gets his determination back.

Luckily, as time passes he deals with his defeats better. He still locks himself, but his thoughts are not as bad as they were in his first years as a gym leader.

He’s proud of all the trainers that defeat him, and tries to encourage all his challengers to give it all when they fight. That’s why I think that, even if he takes loses rather hard, he also accepts defeats with honor since being defeated means he can improve and keep growing as a trainer.

Romantic

 A man after your heart. He can be sweet and even cheesy if you let him.

Will let you play with his hair only if you do cool hairstyles for him. If you know what you’re doing he’ll even let you dye it. 

The type to invite you to watch him training after heading to catch something to eat. Will maybe trick you into drinking some alcohol unless you give him a serious no for whatever reason, you don’t even have to explain yourself. 

You don’t have to be a trainer for him to like you, but be sure that if you’re one he’ll ask to train with you whenever he’s free and will give you tips so you can improve. Will secretly be a little conflicted if you like ice-type pkmns more than rock ones. 

Will show interest in your day-to-day life, and will try to adapt to it so you won’t feel uncomfortable with him around. The only thing he asks in return is sincerity and for you to be able to deal with the fact that he is famous and has a fanbase. 

Not the biggest fan of PDA, but will never push you away if you want a kiss, a hug or to hold hands. Just don’t ask him to be clingy in public. 

His relationship with his mom is complicated, but will never let that interfere in how you and Melony treat each other. 

Will let you in the locker when he loses. It will be awkward at first, but even if the silence will maybe never go away in those times your presence will calm him faster and you both can transform this into a routine for you two as a couple.

General

Never thought he would be gym leader when he was a kid. His dream was to have a simple, happy life on the family farm. 

Always with a smile on his face. This man is full of positivity and rarely gets sad, much less annoyed. 

I’m sure he lost on purpose more than one or two times when he was a rookie gym leader, until he got scolded by Kabu for it. 

However, I can totally see him and Kabu having a good relationship even if their pokemon are the opposite types. They’re the hard-working but calm kind of people who enjoy training as much as a relaxing picnic. 

He’s smarter than he looks. People can take him as a country bumpkin but I assure you he’s not easy to deceive. Man has a good eye and clever mind. 

A clumsy cook. He can’t make fancy dishes but the little things he knows how to cook are always delicious. His sandwiches are to die for, and if you’re vegetarian or vegan prepare yourself for heaven. 

His cute appearance hides a rather heavy-weight. He can drink a bar dry and get out of the door being just slightly tipsy. If you want to see him getting drunk you’ll need the strongest thing you can find, and in a good amount -this lucky boy has never had a hangover-. 

Even if he’s the first gym leader, and because of that the “easiest” of all, he’s canonically strong both in physical strength and as a pokemon trainer. I can see him giving the other gym leaders a real trouble when they compete in the finals. He likes to go with all he has when he knows his rival is a strong one. 

Romantic 

The kind of guy who will give you flowers even before you’re dating. Not bouquets or purchased flowers, but wild ones he found while training or working. If he has a crush on you and hasn’t confessed yet, he’ll ask his pokemon to deliver them to you. 

If you let him, he will carry you everywhere. I mean it. The moment you get in his arms -no matter how tall or heavy you are- he won’t put you down unless you fight him for it. 

KISS. HIS. FRECKLES. Just kiss them. Do it.

Easy to blush and embarrass, but also very straightforward with what he likes and wants. If he wants a kiss he will ask for it even if he’s shy.

Prefers homelike places over fancy ones. If you two have a date, expect him to take you on a stroll or a picnic instead of a fancy restaurant. 

If you don’t like kids or don’t want to have them it’s fine, but he’s the type to want a very big family even if that’s a little cliché.

PDA master, no joke. Will be shy at the early steps of your relationship but as time passes he will be bolder although he never forgets to ask before doing anything. 

On days you’re stressed, annoyed or just need a break he’ll take you to your favourite place and will sooth you with some aromatherapy and massages. You better treat him and his pokemon to some berries afterwards, they always work hard to make you happy and comfortable.

Bonus: If I were a gym leader, I’ll probably choose the poison type. At first I thought fire because that’s my choice for the first pokemon in all my games -save for Gen V, I prefered Snivy over Tepig- or even dragon since it’s a type that has some of my favourite pokemons.

However, I think a poison gym would be a real challenge if you mix the types right. I would probably choose Dragalge and Salazzle as my strongest pokemons though I’m no expert in pkmn strategies so I don’t know how well they’ll work in a real combat.

Quite the predicament

Just a little piece to use as a "sample writing" for now. I was literally trying to get some ideas and then one of my cats decided he wanted some cuddles, so I decided to write this.

Fandom: Genshin Impact.

Summary: All you wanted was to fill the blank pages with words, but someone had another plan.

Characters: Zhongli, Reader (no gender mentioned), Northland Cat.

Theme: SFW, fluff, slice of life, some intimacy. Implied romantic relationship.

Quite the predicament

Liyue is calm tonight.

A gentle breeze caresses the streets, making bamboo leaves float around unbothered by people. Only animals can be found roaming the city in the clear night. Lonely clouds are the only ones seen in the sky, letting the stars shine brightly in the dark blue celestial sea displayed above.

If there are other people enjoying the scenery, you don't know, and you don't care either since your attention is focused not on the beauty displayed outside your window, but on the blank pages in front of you.

A book with no words written on it, a virgin piece of paper that will sit in one of the bookshelves that surround you, if only you could get started and break the solid colour that's been staring back at you for what feels like hours.

You sigh, slouching in the chair after placing the brush in the ornate inkstone to not make a mess when your hands go to your head in a vain attempt to let go of your frustration. You just want to write something: your thoughts, your day-to-day errands, or maybe some tale you heard from Liu Su one of those times you went to drink tea and enjoy a good story.

But the paper is still unmarked.

Just moments ago your mind was full of ideas, thoughts flying non-stop and itching you to take the brush and write them down. But at the same moment you sit on the chair after some minutes of careful preparation, your brain decided to stop working and left you with a -oh the irony- blank mind.

A grunt replaces your sighs and instead of letting go of your head to hit the table with your forehead, you decide to arch your back and rest it on the chair, eyes unfocused but nailed to the ceiling as your index finger begins to tap the armrest in an annoying rhythm.

You don’t know how much time passes, since no sound is heard neither inside and outside the house save for the wind passing through the streets. But be it seconds or minutes or hours, there’s a moment when you decide that enough is enough, that sitting while doing nothing is a waste of time.

So you choose to get up and occupy yourself with something -anything will be good at this point- because you know sleep won’t come no matter how comfortable and inviting your bed is. Your mind will just play with you and bring back all the activity you’re missing right now.

And that was the plan, until something jumps at you, almost knocking you out of the chair.

It catches you off-guard, even if the surprise lasts only for the fleeting moment your ears need to recognize the sound and for your hands to grab the little intruder and sink gently into its soft fur.

Your frown banishes instantly, replaced by a tired but sincere smile. The tension of your muscles disappears within seconds, and your posture -rigid, tense, bothered- shifts into a relaxed one.

The little intruder meows contentedly, green eyes closed in delight and throat vibrating with its purrs. Its short fur caresses your skin whenever the cat moves and for a moment you just stay like you are, eyes looking at the feline and following the streaks of black along the silvery strands of its back and sides.

“The northland one, uh?” You talk to yourself, one hand leaving the cat’s side to stroke his head, trying to please him enough to stop hitting your chin with it. “You’re heavier than you look.” A cat well-fed, with shiny fur and strong muscles underneath.

A stray, but a Liyue one without doubt.

The harbor is full of prey like the birds of the bridges, the rats from the boats or the fishes from the stalls that they can hunt -or steal- freely, as well as a good amount of rocks, trees, stairs, pillars and tall houses for the cats to exercise and play.

And it makes you happy, knowing that even if not all cats would be able to hunt or steal things to eat, the harbor is also full of people who feed the animals so none of them would be found the next morning, starved to death.

The northland cat in your arms moves and meows again, redirecting your attention out of your thoughts and back to him, hitting you with his back and head until your hands are petting him, scratching him with care in the places he seems to like judging by the way he places himself.

The book is long forgotten on the table, ink drying while the pages rest untouched and you can’t bring yourself to care anymore.

"Quite the predicament you're in." A voice you know so well slowly makes its way into the pleasant atmosphere. His words don't break the spell even if there's a hint of a laugh in them. No, the charming voice makes its way smoothly into the symphony of purrs to pull you in deeper.

Slowly, with no rush at all, you move your face just enough to look at him, to lock your eyes on his. Pools of amber and gold look back at you and your unexpected guest, shining with mirth at the situation.

You don't laugh, but your smile widens at the same time the purrs of the cat increase their volume and demanding meows echo through the room. The northland feline has noticed your companion and even if he doesn’t leave your lap, his eyes are now fixed on the male.

"Stop whining, you baby." Your tone is light, amused by the neediness the cat shows just so he can make the brunette pet him too. “I hope we didn’t wake you up.”

"Not at all.” His clothes tell a different story, but if you know him -and you do- you’ll be sure he was reading instead of sleeping, or looking at the streets he loved so much, while waiting for sleep to catch you and force your way to bed.

His eyes take notice of the pages, now scattered across the desk but still with no drop of ink in them. However, he doesn’t say a thing about them, busying himself for a few seconds with putting away the writing utensils, avoiding any possible accident with the ink and brushes.

Meanwhile, you look at him, marveling at the way the silk robe -colour similar to the one of the lanterns light up at night on the harbor- complements his features and allows you a peek at his neck and chest. usually covered by layers of expensive clothing and ties.

“Zhongli.” His name in your lips sounds sweet, calm music like a lullaby in the middle of the night. He merely hums to let you know he heard you, to let you continue talking even if he’s not looking at you right now. “Zhongli.” You call again, stroking the cat with one of your hands and putting the other on his arm.

He stops mildly, letting go of the papers and turning his body to you, one eyebrow raised in curiosity. For a moment, there’s purrs instead of silence filling the space. Then the tap of his bare feet against the floor so he can close enough to put a hand on the cat and the other on your shoulder.

His eyes are on you, attention solely focused on your face, your eyes, your smile, the little details of your skin that makes you so unique to him. Admiration flows from his gaze and you cannot help it when you tilt your head and rest your cheek on the hand he has on your shoulder.

“Yes, dear?” He asks, finally, when all is settled and even the cat has fallen silent, lulled to sleep in your arms aided by your breathing and his warm hand caressing his fur.

“Nothing.” Is what you answer. Your eyes open to look at him again, mouth almost letting go of a giggle at his confused expression. “I just wanted to say your name.” You finish, taking his hand to give a fleeting kiss in his knuckles.

That makes Zhongli smile, a lovely curve of lips full of warmth and so much more…
