It has been a bit over two years since I finished my comic thingy 'The Adventures of Steve and Orphan' (as in, Technoblade's polar bear Steve) and I wanted to do something in commemoration, so yeah. I made this.

Was rooting through some of my old animations and found this, I completely forgot I did the thing, but this is from about a year or so ago (I checked. it was 2021.. that.. yeah. a bit longer than I thought-).

Anyway. This is the scene from part 4 volume 9- (I think?) it's a depiction of Rozemyne giving Ferdinand a feystone charm before he leaves, and the subequent inspection (and judgement) he gives it.

Y'know those times when you just don't have a single scrap of emotional strength in reserve to deal with anything? Or physical energy to make up for it? Drew this because this Annatar was the first character to come to mind to embody that emotion~

#I drew the pose and expression then realised whoever it was I'd drawn was holding a cup of tea #so obviously it was a sign to draw Annatar~#(hot drinks are my comfort drinks~ but I maintain it was my subconscious telling me to draw Annatar >:)#ye #sauron #annatar #lotr #dont let the soft lighting fool you~#this is a depiction of utter exhaustion emotionally and physically #plus a good helping of misery on top #but I felt like spending a bit more time on one picture (eh. about an hour and a half mebbe?)#so the colours are very... coordinated? more effort put in than I've done in a while anyway #so. while this is a 'depiction of the artists current mental state' picture I am actually not doing too badly at the moment #just... life being life :/#(who am I kidding the sleep deprivation is absolutely the problem-)#anyway that aside~#I did love the latest chapter :D #this isn't based on that or anything #more of a 'could apply to... *contemplates a lil-* pretty much any chapter of the harrowing so far' picture.#I would say the one where Finrod buys tea specifically because he though Annatar would like it #but those were grateful tears as well as exhaustion ones #this picture looks a lil too miserable imo #(and a bit dead inside)#so by all means up with your own :D

A friend of mine introduced me to a new art program yesterday and it is my new favourite thing, so I had to draw at least one Feanorian to properly test it out :D:D:D

#maglor #feanorians #silmarillion #the silmarillion #silm art #silmaril #hehehe #this is either a nightmare or the silmaril decided maglor's hands were that dirty it had to float away~#>:D #or it could be symbolism or smth.#take your pick #:D #I absolutely love this art program btw.#it's called sketchbook #and it is way better than krita #kinda reminds me of a bunch of stuff I liked about photoshop #specifically with blend modes doing WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO and it doesn't have weird 'bloom' effects where they SHOULDN'T BE-#and I just like the lineart brush options so much more #Krita didn't even taper the brush. if you wanted brush sensitivity you had to look up an entire tutorial on how to add it >:(#there are some lil annoying bits about this program too (changing brush size - and choosing colours for example)#but like.#I'm still figuring it out so I might be able to just program some shortcuts or smth #Ye #all in all I prefer this program #:)#but it's been less than 24 hours so I'll probably have a more grounded view of it by the end of the week #:):):)

Made an agreement with a friend to both read each other's favourite book series' so now I'm reading the Stormlight archives - and I just finished chapter seven of Words of Radiance - and it made me feel things.
