Padfoot Fest 2024 Reveals

Hello everyone!

The time everyone has been waiting for has come. It's been a week since our last Padfoot Fest work was posted which means we can now reveal all the authors, so everyone can run to show more love for their other works.

As mods, we would like to sincerely thank all the participants. We are immensely grateful to them for creating a great variety of fics, all celebrating our beloved Sirius Black. We love the works, and we are so so proud of everyone's efforts. We are so thankful for all these works that contribute to the amazing thing that is the Marauders fandom.

Moreover, this was the first year of our fest, and we are overwhelmed with the interest it has garnered. We would like to thank everyone who keeps following, reblogging, commenting and so on. We also can't wait to introduce more events in the following months that will help us shorten the time we've got to wait until the second year of Padfoot Fest opens in 2025. “Will do,” he tries to smile at Lyall, but he thinks it ends up as more of a grimace.

“Don’t look so glum, lad,” Lyall says, tipping Sirius’s chin up with a bent index finger. “Remus is stronger than he looks, he’ll be alright.”

“I know,” Sirius replies eventually, and this time manages a genuine smile. “I just worry, ‘s all.”

Lyall sighs. “I’m glad he has you, Sirius.”

Summary: To not have to marry a woman his parents wanted, a woman he didn’t love and never would, Sirius packed his bags and left home. He was homeless for a few weeks and kipped on couches of friends who were kind enough to let him stay. But he didn’t want to live like this — penniless, without prospects and things to look forward to in life. He became a priest, because church was the only place where his parents would never set a foot in, let alone come looking for him. He was great at it, the church ministry suting him greatly. Until a new priest came to their parish and it all came crashing down, backfiring straight on his face.
