UNDERTALE turned one year old today. I’m amazed it’s already been that long, because I still bring it up in conversations constantly. I wanted to take the time to talk about why I think this game caused such a ripple through the gaming community.
So I’ve been doing film for years, but this is the first one I’ve directed, and I think it’s pretty weird, maybe in a way people would like. We’re in the middle of editing it and could use some help making sure it gets the treatment it needs and gets to as many festivals as possible.
On the surface, Uncle Gareth is a film about a guy who lives with dead bodies. At its core, the film is about coping with guilt and learning to live with yourself. It's a film that grew throughout shooting, and the footage we have is better than we had imagined; the only thing left is to make sure it gets the polish it needs for a successful festival run.
We’ve got a lot of talented people on the crew, with Ace Waters doing the music, and I couldn’t be prouder of how it’s coming out. If you wouldn’t mind taking a lot, that would be incredible.
