Can we just talk about Abel's design? It's so fucking lazy I though it was fanart the first time it leaked. Abel (Biblically) is a shepherd and a hunter who kills for the glory of God. How cool it would've been if we got something like this? Could've also incorporated some lamb elements (a symbol commonly attributed with Abel since its the animal he sacrifices to God in the Bible) like horns or smth. Unfortunately, Vivze in incapable of writing masculine men and rather make the FIRST HUNTER and the FIRST MARTYR (person to die in God's name) into a chubby twink!

And Saint Peter is an even WORSE offender. In the Bible, he's a sword-wielding soldier of Christ who FUCKING CUT A DUDE'S EAR OFF when he threatened Jesus. He also (in Catholism) founded the Church and let himself be crucified upside-down for God. He's such as bassass, yet Vivze looks at all of this and the best she can come up with is make him a skinny twink in a dress 😭

Oh, and to add to this, apparently in the new show they tried shoe-horning criticism of the War on Terror. With Hell being the Middle East and Demons being Middle Easterners.

As a Middle Easter, I do NOT appreciate using literal demons from Hell as allegory for my ethnicity.

I mean do you know how fucked and racist it is to stereotype a whole enthicity as Demons from Hell? "DIVERSITY" My glorious melanin ass.

As some of you may know I currently live with my ex wife & their husband. Well Thursday they had a checkup over a constant gut pain & bouts of anema they are dealing with. Well there are pollips growing on their uterus. While at the appointment it was noticed that the fight leg had started swelling and so they were sent to the ER from the doctor's office. They have been at the hospital until tonight and under doctor's orders to stay home until nearly mid June (their hysterectomy is scheduled for the 11th & then 6 weeks of healing).

So that means we are going to be down a check for approximately 2.5 months. So if any one who reads this is able to help, my Ko-Fi is open & so is my PayPal.

I will somewhat kind of defend the Chaz thing. It's less they focus exclusively on their relationship and more that the whole scheme involves Crimson making Moxxie marry Chaz. The episode is really more about Moxxie and Crimson. Chazz is just an afterthought really.

Stella- I agree with most of that, except...I don't think Hell is a really a patriarchal setting. Hell has more of a migth make rights policy. It's just that Stella married into Stolas's line, and seeing as he's a named demon of the Ars Goetia, we're to assume that means he's inheriently higher up the noble foodchain then her.

As for insults to women, that's more to the fact that there is a lot of swearing in this setting. Bltizo has called Moxxie a bitch among other things, Verosika regularly calls herslef and her band sluts, and more.

What I will agree with on with Emberlyn a hundred percent on is the "be weirded out by her, but ignore the shit Bltzo and the others do" but not for the reasons stated. Bltizo has done much weirder shit with Stolas, not to mention his hundreds of exes. Why he was weirded out by Emberlain, I don't really get.

It's weird, I agree with a lot in this video, just not for the reasons she gives.

For all the shit we give Vivzie, I don't think sh'es unfair to her female characters, even in HB.

Bltizo's sister is a recovering addict who wants nothing to do with Bltizo. Yeah, she's not someone we root for, but that's because of everything else. Her decision to not want to reunite with Blitzo was never really treated as something she shouldn't done.

Loona is a traumatized teen that is slwoly warming upto Blitzo as a father figure. And Octavia is dillusion with her father and doesn't want anything to do with him right now. Despite everything, the show doesn't really paint either of them as being in the wrong for this, and both characters even have a bonding moment over it.

Vivzie's mistreatment of characters is not an issue of sex, but entirely an issue of her not wanting to write complex villains for her main characters. Adam is proof that it goes the other way.....

....And honestly? Stolas and Lucifer are both examples of this too. Both of them were set up to be interesting villains in the pilots- they could have switch to allies later, but they were defintiely something that would have to be dealt with.

Instead, they both got dubbed down into a "sad dad" archettpe, both of them fucking up things in their own way yet never really being called out for it and wallowing in self-pity and we the audience are suppossed to feel bad for them.

Just looking at HH and HB, it's pretty clear that one of Vivzie's big issues is a form of favoritism for some of her characters, not wanting to see them meaningfully struggle or challenged on their morals and such.

Which I get to some extent, but that leaves the character stagnant. And stagnant characters only work in certain situation, like if you're revealing them layer by layer.

My name is Trunko, like the mythical marine creature with white coat and trunk, and I’m a writer. I like to write fantasy books and stories, plus fanfiction of any fandom which I love or any fandom plot concept I want to explore. Wow, I was already not interested in seeing Skeleton Crew and even if it was not a Disney Brand Star Wars I would not for some pale imitation of Stranger Things with Hollywood's pathetic obessive attempts in imitating the 80s, now with the possibility of them setting up Sequel Trilogy the worst trilogy ever made? I'm now even less incline to give it a shot.

And if we go with much more scientific version, Bill may have caused spliter timelines due to his chaos leading to multiple timelines and as you said Time Baby can only exist in one timeline.

If the Time Baby exists in the far way future of the Gravity Falls Main Timeline, why was he so concerned about Bill being free from the Nightmare Realm? The fact that he exists in the far future proves that Bill was defeated in the past to begin with.

Here's what we know about time & Weirdmageddon:

When it begins, one of the first things Bill says is "TIME IS DEAD and meaning has no meaning!"

Something like a week of time passes inside of Weirdmageddon, but when it's over, it's like no time has passed in the real world

Bill murders Time Baby and then declares he can control time.

Something temporally fucky is going on inside Weirdmageddon.

So here's my theory:

In the normal timeline where chronological cause and effect matter, Time Baby can rest assured that events proceed such that he will safely rule the future. But Bill "WHY MUST CAUSE PRECEDE EFFECT" Cipher's party isn't part of the normal timeline. It's capable of retroactively breaking the universe in the 21st century and erasing the future where Time Baby rules—along with every other future.

Time Baby's future isn't proof that Bill's defeated. It's an example of a timeline in which Weirdmageddon NEVER HAPPENED—and Bill's about to change that. There's a possibility Bill COULD win.

Bonus headcanon:

The fact that Weirdmageddon's outside the normal timeline is also why I headcanon Time Baby only got involved THEN—and didn't, say, appear over Gravity Falls in 1980 to say "HEAR THIS, STANFORD PINES! BILL'S A CREEP. DON'T BUILD HIS PORTAL" or whatever.

My headcanon is that any given Time Giant can only exist in ONE place at any point on their own timeline. So like, if a Time Giant does the laundry on Wednesday, and then on Thursday finds out that there was a cool concert yesterday, they can time travel back to Wednesday to catch the concert, but now the past has been changed so that they didn't do the laundry because they were at the concert instead. They can't loop back and cause two versions of themselves to exist at once; the act of looping back erases the original version of themself.

The same way the time tape works: when Dipper & Mabel rewind the day of the carnival, Dipper doesn't run into his past self attempting the ball toss and Mabel doesn't run into her past self winning Waddles; they replace their past selves so only one version of them exists.

Something about the fact that Time Baby has been comatose and in ice in Antarctica for the past 66 million years or whatever somehow interferes with his time powers to prevent him from time traveling back to (and replacing) himself during a moment he's frozen. A time giant can loop back to a moment they're doing the laundry, but apparently not to a moment they're comatose. That means that entire era of Earth's history, from the moment he's knocked out to the moment he wakes up, is guaranteed Time Baby-free, because he can't visit ANY of it...

... except for the one moment OUTSIDE of time... Weirdmageddon. Which is why Time Baby could ONLY make a move to try to stop Bill right then, even though he surely knew Bill's been working on breaking into earth for millions of years.

This is why he also has to send human agents with time tapes to do his bidding during that era: he can't do it himself.

AND it's why I headcanon it takes 1000 years for his molecules to reconstitute after Bill zaps him. Because two Time Babies can't exist at the same moment in history, and because Present Time Baby can't replace his past self while his past self is in a coma, he just has to wait in a state of non-existence until Past Time Baby thaws, wakes up, and pops off to some other point in the timeline... and at last, Present Time Baby has a free spot in the timeline where he isn't being nullified by his own past self and can reconstitute.
