This is Tithe written by Holly Black. I've had this book for probably nearing fifteen years now and it is my favourite. Given to me by my beautiful stepmother <3 always thank you. I read it in one night, straight through because I just couldn't put it down. You can tell how loved it is by looking at it and I'm pretty sure I will always love it. I read it whenever I feel lonely or want to escape from the world because it offers the perfect escape: a world living and thriving alongside ours that we are not privy to. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, this other world is still one outside the realm of what's real and even though it's dark and imperfect, it's beautiful. It gives me hope in a strange way. Next year, I go to Japan and this book will definitely be coming with me. It'll come with me no matter where I go. Thanks #hollyblack #tithe #faeries

Quitting Overwatch

I’m sick to death of having to have had worked so hard to be so good at a few heroes and that not meaning anything when playing against people. Because every time I log on, there is always at least 1 cheating fuck I’m up against. Whether it be wall hacks, triggerbots, aimbots, or damage multipliers, I’m always against at least one type of cheat. Today I’ve played a few 1v1s in the new arcade mode. Every single person I was against had an aimbot and damage multiplier. No matter what I did, I was killed with one hit every single time, despite playing the same character as them and getting many hits, they would not die.  I wish Overwatch was still fun and full of nice people, but no, there’s cheaters, hackers, rude people everywhere on the PC version of the game. But alas, the time for the niceties and rare cheaters who got banned is over. I even had 1 player tell me in the middle of a match that they were using an aimbot that was originally meant for CS:GO. Bit on the nose, isn’t it? Blizzard need to have another, extreme banwave in order for the game to be viable again. And I don’t see it coming, there’s no news of it, nor any confirmation from Blizzard themselves about one on the way; as far as I’ve heard. So until then, I’m quitting Overwatch, there is no way to play it like a normal person who doesn’t need cheats and hacks and compensation for their own lack of skill. RIP Overwatch, it’s a shame you couldn’t keep the cheating fucks away.

I found I use actual sailing references to describe where my current ships are at. Plain sailing: strong evidence or purely canon at this point!! Yay! My ship is taking on water - okay, it's got a couple of cracks and it's not looking good but we might be able to do something provided nothing else bad happens! My ship has run aground: not a happy ship. We are in trouble. This is not a drill people! My ship has capsized: something has happened to change the way I feel about this ship and will take a miracle to recover. My ship has sank: does not need explanation.
