Sometimes you have to take a step back and realize how far you have come. My grandma and my mother both have diabetes. The girl on the left was headed straight down that path. I was so sick and couldn't find help from any doctor, pill, or conventional medicine. I got a point where I was having daily headaches that were so severe and chronic that I was taking other prescriptions like Valium (sometimes daily) to sleep through the pain. I also developed some nerve damage in my feet, the beginnings of a tingly painful condition called diabetic neuropathy. It still bugs me and only would have gotten worse. Fast forward to tonight, just me in my pjs, in my kitchen. I no longer ride a blood sugar roller coaster. I don't have an episode if I get too hungry. I have energy and clarity and mental strength like I've never had before. I have researched countless hours about how to feed this body that would get rid of my disease. What I have learned just astounds me. There's a science called nutrigenomics that has proven that every cell in your body is made up of what you eat. When I ate processed junk I was the woman on the left. The woman on the right has stood up for herself against disease and took back control of her habits and her appearance and her life. No matter where you are in your journey, I promise you that if you just figure out what it takes to be a HEALTHY HUMAN, the weight will go away by itself. Keto Grocery Haul. 😁 Practicing a 16:8 intermittent fasting schedule has reduced the number of times I eat in a day. Now I eat bigger, more infrequent meals. Overall I've found that it means I actually eat way less and therefore spend less. 🤑 Having extra $$$ means I can buy organic where I think it counts. See cage free chicken and ground turkey with no antibiotics, hormones, or steroids, organic salsa and organic Newman's Own alfredo sauce. I refuse to bring home any MSG these days so I flip over and read all my labels. Pro-tip: MSG hides under many names- anything "modified" (i.e. Modifiers corn starch, modified soy), glutamate, and glutamic acid to name a few.
