Thinking about how Dutch Van der Linde is basically just an allegory for the United States as a country. A beautiful dream that brings so much hope to the disenfranchised, a dream that causes people to walk millions of miles, to give up their own lives, to hang onto every beck and call because that dream COULD be a possibility. That dream COULD be even plausible. You you follow the dream until you realize that it's not so beautiful. It's violent and cruel and pulls the wool over your eyes because it was only just a dream. But still. You love it so. You love it not necessarily of what it is, but because you dream about what it could be, what it could've been, even if that was never the case.

Hello tumblr, it's been a while since I posted anything rdr2 related (actually, it's just been a while since I posted on this blog in general)

That is because I lost interest in the fandom and the game for while. After my dog died, I just wasn't able to stomach it because death was such a heavy theme in the game, especially long-term sickness with Arthur, which just made me miserable as silly as that sounds 😭

Anyway, I'm feeling a lot better now, and I'm back!! I will be posting the silly posts I make again, but also, I'm working on my first ever fanfic!!! I'm really excited about sharing it with you, because I've spent a long time working on the general plot.

It's going to be an Arthur Morgsn x (fem) reader, but it's going to have a couple of heavier themes, so I'll be providing tws for each chapter in the author notes :)

(Also reader is going to be absolutely insane, which I've never really seen done before, so hopefully my attempt will be okay 😭)

Anyway, I look forward to sharing it with you all. Hopefully I'll finish the first chapter soon ♡♡

☆ Arthur Morgan Headcanons! (Modern)

☆ I could definitely see him working a blue-collar job tbh, like a mechanic or something. Either that or something involving animals/nature, like a park ranger!!

☆ I could see him liking a lot of older music, not necessarily from his childhood (which, in this case, he'd be a 90s kid) though he definitely does like some 90s music, but I could see him liking 70s music, specifically rock. I could also definitely see him liking folk music (for obvious reasons lol)

☆ The only indication that an account belongs to him on social media is that he makes the "nickname" or whatever its called his full name. Everything else is blank. No posts, no profile picture, username is something like "user192829201010". Literally does not gaf 😭 is rarely on social media too, so if you sent him a video it would take him DAYS to see it. You're better off just showing it to him irl.

☆ Victim of single man decor. His house is so plain looking it's kind of sad. Has a couple of decorations here and there, like pictures in frames and a couple of trinkets, but the house is mostly empty.
