Aldebaran (star) after it reappeared from behind the moon 10:35 pm October 18 ..the Moon passed by the constellation Taurus the Bull and covered "Aldebaran" it's brightest star for about 30 minutes

Reenactment @dominguezrancho October 8-9 1846 The Battle of Dominguez Hills American forces tried to capture Los Angeles the residents at that time had hidden old firearms and other weapons and didn't really stand a chance against the Americans who were up to 300 men compared to the Mexican forces who were only 50 strong. The advantaged they had against the Americans was an old brass 4 pounder cannon that was buried in the backyard of Reyes and was a key factor in winning this battle which is why it was nicknamed The Battle of the Old Women's Gun in Reyes honor. American forces were forced to believe that they were outnumbered because of the tactics of their enemy and decided to retreat Los Angeles.

Reenactment on Sunday 2/3 @dominguezrancho: The Battle of Dominguez Hills (Old Women's Gun) October 8-9 1846 .... During this battle 4 Americans were severly wounded and died they were later buried on a little island in San Pedro Bay called Isla de los Muertos (Island of the Dead). 0 casualties for the Mexican forces

Reenactment on Sunday 1/3 @dominguezrancho: The Battle of Dominguez Hills (Old Women's Gun) October 8-9 1846 during the Mexican American War which took place within Manuel Dominguez's 75,000 acre Rancho San Pedro. American troops tried to re-occupy Los Angeles...The four guys you see in focus are dressed the way Mexican soldiers did in those times
