My fan animatic snippet of Thunder Bringer (Epic the Musical)!

For this snippet, I took a different approach than what I did for my full Ruthlessness animatic. Again, this is non-canon! Just my interpretation and feelings of musical moments put down into animatic form.

Ramblings below if you so wish to read them:

After the moment Zeus said "Choose," it was less about Zeus for me, who I kept visually separated from the 'mortal affairs' beneath him, and more about Odysseus' struggle to make a choice. I wanted to dive more into that feeling. Hence, while in Ruthlessness I explored Poseidon's character, in this half of Thunder Bringer, I was drawn to explore Odysseus'.

To me, the thunder and lightning brought a moment of clarity. Who was he fighting for? I stretched out time and gave him visions, not because time really slowed or he was really seeing anything, but because I wanted to explore that split second moment it clicked for him that he had made his decision. And afterwards, the terrifying and terrible realization that that was the only choice if he was to make it back to his family. The guilt and grief at the temptation. The true siren song.

Even so, I do dislike how little we see of Zeus there, haha. But that design choice was just how my storyboarding turned out - I prioritized my exploration of Odysseus over Zeus. If I were to ever make the first half of Thunder Bringer, I would absolutely explore more of Zeus' character, beyond the "above thou" mentality that I stuck with here. He is, after all, brothers with the more expressive Poseidon I depicted in Ruthlessness, haha - some things are bound to make his mask slip.

Thanks for reading all that if you had! Given my limited time outside of work and life to draw animatics, I've decided not to finish Different Beast, but perhaps one day I will share the unfinished frames here. Next animatic I'm tackling is No Longer You!

Sharing my art of 2 very cool DnD characters - Etienne and Victory - from 2 very cool friends! Etienne is the one with the HUGE awesome hat, and Victory's the one ROCKING the Guitar-battleaxe!

The character design is all theirs! Art is by me!

So very nice to make a fully colored art pieces again - I've been doing mostly sketches and animatics this year, so I definitely haven't been exercising my coloring enough, haha. But here's to maybe more colored pieces in 2025!

My Scylla animatic snippet! Definitely non-canon, but I had a lot of feelings about certain moments in the song after listening to it for so long, so I had to get them out, haha. I'm not entirely happy with everything -- especially with all the narrative loopholes I see (coughcough like why are the heads so big when they're supposed to only eat 1 person XD) -- but I'm proud I got what I set out to do done.

Working on a snippet of Thunderbringer next! Look out for a Zeus teaser next! Also have been binge-listening to Vengeance saga aaaaaa---- Also, heck, the animatics in all the livestreams?? SO GOOD.

Random fanart time! Buck x Tommy, or Tevan, from the show 9-1-1!

I am sick with fever and coughs, but watching 9-1-1 clips (interspersed with looping Thunder Saga, bwahaha) has sustained me all weekend. So! Much! Good! Found-family! Content! So I tried to draw Tommy and Buck because they made me happy..... They were both difficult to draw. xD

I tried to capture their expressions---- That was also tough, hahaha. I must improve more! xD

However the writers end up telling Buck and Tommy's stories, I am hoping they have their happiness in mind. But aaaaa, I am absolutely rooting for these beautiful people as endgame - They both deserve happiness!!

Very much enjoyed working on the scene compositions, so I'm super happy many others enjoyed watching them too!

Part 1 of Ruthlessness is up! Working on Part 2!

Definitely inspired by all the lovely Poseidons I'm seen in existing animatics, and absolutely fueled in the last bit of creation by The Underworld Saga coming out!!

Wanted to contribute my interpretation of Ruthlessness to the fandom! I will now go back to belting out The Underworld Saga to unsuspecting neighbors---

Hello-- I am late. BUT! I bring you a fan animatic as an offering!

This is my take on the last scene in "Remember them", inspired by the so many awesome animatics I've seen so far. I have a few more scenes from other songs that I want to draw out, so I'll probably not finish this entire song until those get drawn out.
