HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my still best boy, Oikawa Tooru. Even after all this time, I still have the same love for these two that I did when I first saw them in the series. Part 2 of Saturday at @connecticon : casual attire Rosette and Chrono. I kept this stuff stuck to my face for over 12 hours that day. I'm thankful im not allergic to spirit gum. XD I switched back and forth between his yellow receptor things on his head and his actual horns throughout the day with the use of magnets in the wig! It was fun to vary up the look. And for casual, I dug out the jumbo braid I used for chibi chrono at Colossalcon East last year. ➡Swipe for full body➡ I've finally finished Hyakkimaru and when it cools down a bit I will also cos him with his scarf and cape. I'm a bit sad that I didn't get into cosplay until around 3pm on Friday (due to various real life reasons), but I still met some fellow fans and had fun chatting with them! For being a non-anime (aka general pop culture con) I was surprised to see as many fans as I encountered! I really did love this series and I cant wait to actually have proper shoots for him (with Dororo of course~). I hope you guys like my Hyakki! He actually ended up being pretty warm due to all of my artifical "limbs" being tights, so it surprisingly was not the best summer cos. Sorry for the Howl spam but I'm absolutely in love with these photos that Jacqui took of me on her CELLPHONE (which I'm finally working on haha) I've been having fun editing them up in my go to mobile editor, snapseed. Don't let talk of shooting in raw is superior get you down if all you have is a cell and some jpegs to work with. You can still create some amazing art! (As a disclaimer, shooting in raw has a ton of advatages, and I indeed shoot in raw myself, but that doesn't change the fact that you can get great results no matter what type of file you edit. Just have fun with it!) I can't ever get enough of seeing this jacket in photographs. It's absolutely stunning. Fun fact: I was never a big fan of this jackets design...that was until Jacqui completed her version of it. It blows me away and I am blessed to have gotten to model it with her. Just got this gorgeous photo back from Katsucon of Shigure and Azura. 😱 And just in time for the Fire Emblem anniversary! More from this set soon to come. Man, I cannot wait to be their Nohr versions soon. 😗 Fire Emblem cosplay has become such a weakness to me. As an artist, bringing these designs to life is always a pleasure. It's hard to describe here simply, but there is a certain "realness" to them in both real world functionality and detail aspects (for example: more or less filigree/exagerated details, etc depedning on if a character is royal or a commoner). These are just things I think about a lot when choosing what to create! Something that always drew me to any winged mount rider for example is how all the designs are made with functionality in mind. Armor where is counts, but no armor or clothing/accessories to impede being able to ride a top a mount. Haha, this ended up being pretty long, but I've never shared this thought before and thought you guys might be interested. 😂 Maybe not though. Anyways, gnight! . . Cosplaying with @lostdonut is always a delight and when it comes to planning for a shoot I know she's always going to follow through and set her mind to it! It's great to have a friend who loves location shooting and getting groups together for them. 💖 I must admit, I wasn't feeling the greatest for this day, but @athel.jpg managed to grab some great shots of us even though we hadn't exactly planned out poses and such. The results came out very natural and sweet. 🙌 (Id also like to add that the location for this shoot was picked prior to even picking our characters. We basically sat down one night and figured out what we could cos together with stuff we already had lol) . .
