This weekend we feature a couple stunning and mouth-watering watermelon creations by a pair of purely awesome people that are very dear to us here at MACHUCA ❤️👑💎♏ The first tasty post is created by Susan @cocktailontherock 🇳🇿🎉 Watermelon Wonder Watermelons have been extortionate prices over this summer, which has had many people lamenting for it. I quickly snapped up a cheap deal, when I stumbled across them, and was earwigging next to the people also selecting theirs. One of them sounded like a fountain of knowledge, talking about a yellow one being sweeter and the difference between female and male watermelon - enough to get me googling. Apparently the gender of a watermelon is a myth, which claims that the female version is rounder and sweeter while the male counterpart is more oblong and watery. However, botanically speaking, all watermelons come from a female flower and develop into fruits. A deceivingly devilish serve, that paired well with Pisco and Machuca’s spiced rum, but too full of carbs to count! I was lucky enough to receive the glassware as a gift from my gorgeous daughter. How’s it taste? Well amazing of course and brings an added extra to the pina colada, style cocktail….didn’t use cream or coconut milk this time round so I get the proper flavour of the @machucarum…. Pretty simple I just combined it with Malibu and pineapple juice, adding more rum so I get the full flavour ❤️👊 respect to @machuca and believe me they have a serious rum on the market..
