Years of the Trees Music Trio ✨Shenanigans✨

You can’t tell me those three weren’t out there having silly dance parties. Everyone always do the eldest sons trio but as someone with a ton of cousins, I know the truth. Maedhros was busy at the adult table, talking to Finarfin about his university major while Maglor, Fingon and Finrod were stuck at the kids table, barely able to talk without being interrupted by one of the younger ones.

Anyway, I was planning to clean those up but I am not sure now. I’m not really satisfied with Finrod’s design :/ Fingon is hella cute tho and that Maglor is growing on me.

I highly recommend dance photos from the 1920’s as ref if you want to draw some silly poses btw.

I'm sorry for the awful watermarks, but I couldn't find that part of the song on TikTok, and I didn't want to download it and edit it again.

This took months, and the distribution of that time was like 10% drawing the characters, 15% thinking about possible BG elements and drawing them, 50% procrastinating starting the editing, 15% animating the elements, 10% choosing and putting the transitions.

But I'm so happy that it's done 💖💖

Wait tell us more about your Celegorm would fist fight Ilúvatar for Celebrimbor agenda!!!

There's not much to it, but let me take a short detour. In my mind, Celegorm is Very protective of Curufin because that's his favorite brother and "I would literally commit mass murder for you at any time, no questions asked" is Celegorm's love language just in general. But Celegorm is also probably the one person on earth who is the most aware of how self-sufficient Curufin really is.

Celebrimbor on the other hand is like a tiny Curufin who actually is helpless and actually does need Celegorm, for many years if not forever. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting Celegorm is lovingly helping raise Celebrimbor, he doesn't have the right temperament for that. But he loves Celebrimbor in an extremely fierce way. Beleriand is a dangerous hellscape but Celebrimbor is untouchable. Nothing and no one is allowed to even briefly consider frightening him, let alone hurt him. Even political games are off limits.

Of course, the older Celebrimbor gets, the less they see eye to eye, and at some point they don't even really like each other, but that's a non-issue. There's nothing Celebrimbor can possibly do to make Celegorm love him less - liking has nothing to do with it. Celebrimbor can renounce the whole family and Celegorm would still march straight into Angband to get him back if he got in trouble.

Just. The famous Noldor devotion, with as much subtlety and restraint as Celegorm usually displays, by which I mean, of course, none at all
