I finally finished the elephant embroidery!  This is about 12 hours of work, and it taught me a lot about embroidery.  It was fun, but I’m sure glad it’s done.

We had an emergency which required me to take Jasper outside (don’t worry, it was a false alarm, all is good!).  Poor Jasper hates the outdoors, and this is the only time I’ve seen him burrow himself under a blankie.  What a day!

I recently acquired some silicone doughnut molds at my favorite thrift shop, and today I decided to use them.  I had three bananas going brown, so I decided to try some banana doughnuts.  I’ve never made doughnuts before, but they turned out so good!  The six in front appear darker, as they’re coated in cinnamon sugar.

(FYI, you can replace eggs with bananas 1:1 in any baking recipe; I have not had this substitution fail me yet.)

My sister's girlfriend is the most awesome person I know. I always try to do stuff to welcome her into our family! This Christmas, I'm embroidering her favorite animal onto a tote bag; I hope it turns out well.

Today is cold, windy, and gray.  My dad is making chicken noodle soup, so to contribute I made some crescent rolls.  Now the house smells good and is so warm!

I’m feeling rather productive today, so I decided to knock out my MIL’s Christmas gift.  Yeah, I think pro sports are stupid, but she loves Mickey and the Vikings, so she should enjoy these bags!
