・❥・ Your eyes finding theirs in a crowd before your brain says, look away.

・❥・ Brushing against them “by accident” and apologizing even though it lit your whole nervous system on fire.

13 QUESTIONS EVERY HARRY POTTER FAN SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANSWER

I saw this from @soliloqueer and wanted to fill it out myself. Feel free to jump on!

Question 1: Which house do you belong to?

On the OG Pottermore, I was deemed a Ravenclaw. I choose to count this as my own personal canon, and deem any subsequent sorting on revised versions of the website as OOC.

Question 2: Which Deathly Hallow would you choose?

While I would love to claim that I would choose the Cloak of Invisibility, I know my hubris would have me choose the Elder Wand.

Question 3: Which character do you have a (not so) secret crush on?

Even when it was not age appropriate, it was one Mr. Remus John Lupin. Think of me as the student Indiana Jones has in Raiders of the Lost Ark that has the words "love you" written on her eyelids.

Question 4: What are your in depth and controversial thoughts on Severus Snape?

In the words of Sirius Black: “We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.” I think Snape acted on both, at different times. And he died acting in the light, and that’s what really matters.

Question 5: Who, In your opinion, is more evil: Voldemort or Dolores Umbridge?

Both of these characters think they are doing the right thing. However, Umbridge presents herself as this high and mighty, self-righteous individual who can do no wrong. Voldemort is evil without abandon and doesn’t advertise otherwise. Therefore, I think Umbridge is the more evil character.

Question 6: Which death in the series is the most heartbreaking?

Dobby’s death rattled me as a child. The first book scared me when I was 8, and I wouldn’t read them until I was 13, but when DH part 1 can out I was a naive 10-year-old who thought Dobby would live. Even now, I still remember the gape on my face when he took Bellatrix’s knife to the chest. That scars you!

Question 7: What Quidditch position would you play?

I tried to cross-reference the positions with the sports I did play in high school, and I do not see anything analogous enough to convince me that I would have played Quidditch at all. With that being said, I would have definitely been one of the kids playing the Hogwarts March outside of the Triwizard Maze pre- and post- "MY BOY!"

Question 8: What Wizarding Career would you pursue?

Based on my chosen profession, I would probably be a healer. I went in to my current career path to help people, however banal that answer may be.

Question 9: Which book in the series is you favourite?

Something about GoF really tickled my brain. I think I really love a story with some type of game.

Question 10: Who should have ended up together? Hermione/Ron or Hermione/Harry?

There is nothing that can convince me there is source material that shows Harry and Hermione have romantic feelings for each other. On a similar vein, there is also nothing that can convince me there is source material that Snape and Lily have romantic feelings for each other.

Question 11: Have you read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?

I am in possession of it, but I have not read it. I collect books like middle aged white women collect wine: to be drank in the right company.

Question 12: Was Dumbledore a hero or a villain?

My hot take is that there are no heroes in Harry Potter, which is part of the reason why I love it so.

Question 13: Who is the real Hero of the Story? Harry Potter or Neville Longbottom?

When you ask someone their favorite Harry Potter character, the answer is never Harry Potter. Let him have the hero title.

CALLING ALL 2014 WATTPAD GIRLIES:

I am trying to locate the title of a Wattpad book I read as an impressionable youth. It might have been a Watty winner but I don’t remember at this point. It was highly recommended on the app and was on the same level of marketing as work like The Last She.

Basically, the OC falls in love with Hades. I don’t remember how she gets to the Underworld but I think it was for her safety. I remember that she was a dancer, maybe ballet. This is relevant because the only other major plot point I can remember is that she goes in to some room that changes to whatever your heart desires, and she changed it in to a dance studio and danced until her feet bleed.
