These are some of my headcanons and plotline ideas for IT roleplays. Feel free to use any for yourself and friends, or change them as you want. DM if you want to roleplay - it doesn't have to be one of these plots.

I usually write two to four paragraphs, but I'm flexible as long as grammar and spelling are decent. I'm 28 years old, so please be 18+ if you reach out to roleplay. I'm open to erp but please give me a heads up if that's what you're going for.

I see Eddie as sassy and opinionated, but not infantile. As he gets older, he mellows out some in his neuroticism regarding his germaphobic tendencies, but still struggles with certain things from time to time. Depending on the au (whether or not he forgets what happened during the Pennywise arc in their childhood), he may default back to his highly neurotic nature in adulthood.

Specifically in regards to a relationship with Richie (or anyone really), I feel that because he has control issues, he most likely operates most heavily as a switch, preferring to top with his partner until he fully trusts them. Of course this is flexible depending on the au - it’s just a headcanon.

𝑟 𝑖 𝑐ℎ 𝑖 𝑒    𝑡 𝑜 𝑧 𝑖 𝑒 𝑟

Richie is emotional albeit repressed. He hides his feelings behind his humor, which I feel is a pretty canon representation of him. Depending on the au (whether or not he remembers the other Losers after they move into adulthood), he develops to be a little more open with people he’s close to, letting them into his more emotional world. This can happen as early as his teen years depending on how the au plays out.

I see Richie as someone who’s game for whatever their partner wants most in a relationship (physically or emotionally) whether or not it’s good for him personally. He’s a chronic people pleaser, and his partner is the center of his world, whether for better or for worse.

Other miscellaneous headcanons include:

• Richie is one of the smartest in the Loser crew. This is mostly canon by book standards from what I understand, but he isn’t played that way very often.

• Richie has some pretty extreme undiagnosed ADHD going on. I’m not surprised given that ADHD wasn’t much of a thing in the time period(s) the story takes place in.

𝑠 𝑡 𝑎 𝑛 𝑙 𝑒 𝑦   𝑢 𝑟 𝑖 𝑠

I struggled a surprising amount trying to put my headcanons for Stan into words, so I hope I make sense here. Let me know if you need clarification.

I see Stan as an introvert, but one that watches. He loves his friends, but there’s an element to him that allows for him to fade himself into the background of any Losers scene despite being an equally important member.

I feel like he might have some undiagnosed OCD, and I feel this is also what would give him such a strong connection to Losers Club members like Eddie. Eddie would definitely understand some of his neuroticism, and in my opinion he would be a good match for the Loser Stan is closest to aside from Richie.

𝑝 𝑎 𝑡 𝑟 𝑖 𝑐 𝑘   ℎ 𝑜 𝑐 𝑘 𝑠 𝑡 𝑒 𝑡 𝑡 𝑒 𝑟

Confession time: I never read the IT novel by Stephen King. Despite that fact, I do know that Patrick Hockstetter is an absolute monster in the books. (Not that the Bowers Gang aren’t monsters as a general collective - movies, books or otherwise.)

With that out of the way, my interpretation of Patrick’s character does soften him somewhat if he’s being played in a romantic relationship. I’m a big fan of ‘monster’ type characters who don’t necessarily change who they are or what they believe, but rather adapt to become more socially palatable for the sake of their partner.

Patrick might never be the type of guy to buy Valentine’s chocolates for his date, but if he were able to find it in himself to muster up the ability to care (or obsess) for someone he’d definitely be the type to kill for them. I could picture him doing impulsive, violent things in response to someone insulting or hurting someone he’s decided to hold in esteem. Think similarly to the show ‘You’ on Netflix - they may have a stunted or limited capacity for emotion, but that doesn’t mean they don’t still have somewhat of a spectrum. They’re only human after all.

𝑛 𝑒 𝑖 𝑏 𝑜 𝑙 𝑡   𝑘 𝑖 𝑑 𝑠

When Pennywise made the Neibolt kids, he pulled them from the kids’ psyches, creating them from their fears, and broken pieces. He made them walking, talking mirror versions of the parts they wanted to hide most from themselves and others. It’s easiest to say they’re a summation of the things they fear, the things they hate about themselves, and the actions they’re most ashamed of.

Because they are essentially parts of each Loser that were pulled from their own self loathing, they are unable to hold any positive emotions for themselves and hate their originals with a passion. Oddly enough, this means that they don’t necessarily hate the other original Losers - only their original counterparts, and are even capable of love.

For example, Richie was terrified of others finding out that he was gay, and loved Eddie, so a big part of his Neibolt self would include his love for Eddie.

Romance plot for the Neibolt kiddos! This one is actually based around my headcanon for the Neibolt kids. This is technically specifically designed for a Reddie plotline, but I’d be more than happy to try other pairings with the concept as well!

Even when Pennywise disappeared, the Neibolt kids remained, living in Neibolt house and down in the sewers, since it’s the only life they know. Some way or another (whether because Richie decides to venture back into Neibolt for some morbid curiosity or other, or because N.Eddie decides to venture out on his own), Richie and N.Eddie end up running into each other. 

I picture this to be a slow burn Neibolt Eddie/Richie roleplay, not ending with Eddie/Richie.

𝑛 𝑒 𝑖 𝑏 𝑜 𝑙 𝑡    𝑡 𝑒 𝑒 𝑛 𝑠    𝐼 𝐼

This is a bit more traditional of a Neibolt kiddos au - Your run of the mill ‘The kids confront their mirror selves/each others alters’ type of roleplay. Good for any ship!

To spice it up, it might be cool to see them confront their Neibolt selves as adults, where the Neibolt kids have also grown up, and their fears have grown with them.

𝑚 𝑒 𝑡ℎ 𝑜 𝑑    𝑎 𝑐 𝑡 𝑜 𝑟 𝑠    𝑎 𝑢

The cute actors au no one asked for, where one or both in the pairing are method actors who were cast for the lead romance roles in a movie/tv show. Based on A Memory of Love by stellarbisexual on AO3.

After learning they’ve been cast as love interests, they move in together for an allotted amount of time (through filming) in order to get comfortable with living together domestically. Grocery shopping together, sleepy good mornings, spring cleaning when it’s rainy out... Endless domestic fluff possibilities. 

I think this could be fun with just about any ship, but most notably Reddie or Stozier.

𝑔ℎ 𝑜 𝑠 𝑡 ( 𝑠 )    𝑎 𝑢

This could probably be either Reddie, Streddie, Stozier, or any combo of those three characters really. 

The general idea is that person A moves into the house (whether as an adult or as a teen) and discovers that person B (and person C, if that’s the preference) are haunting the place. This could be played in a few different ways ranging anywhere from ‘They never met each other until this moment’ all the way to ‘Person A moved back to Derry after however many years, and the ghost(s) are their old childhood friend(s).'

This could really be customized a million different ways, so feel free to give spin off ideas of your own!

𝑎 𝑟 𝑡    𝑠 𝑐ℎ 𝑜 𝑜 𝑙    𝑎 𝑢

Another indulgent au which fits well with a million different pairings. You can customize the pairing, what their artistic focuses are, and whether or not they’re roommates. You can also decide if it’s a specialized high school, boarding school, or a college. 

Additionally, you can make the or as fluffy or angsty as you like, or even alternate. It’s really a crowd pleaser type of au. Could even be the case of going along with canon through the 2017 movie!

𝑏 𝑎 𝑛 𝑑 / 𝑚 𝑢 𝑠 𝑖 𝑐 𝑖 𝑎 𝑛 𝑠    𝑎 𝑢

Heyo, everyone loves a good au where all parties get to be musically talented heathens. I was thinking of either Reddie or Stozier for this one, but I’m open to others.

More specifically, what I had in mind was Richie already being a part of a band, and needing to find a vocalist/second vocalist/keyboard player for the group. They hold auditions and are having a hard time finding a good fit, but somehow stumble across Stan/Eddie, and begin trying to convince them to join the group.

I don’t know, I just think it could be fun to have duets and stuff - plus, playlists!

𝑚 𝑦 𝑠 𝑡 𝑒 𝑟 𝑦    𝑐 𝑟 𝑒 𝑤    𝑎 𝑢

A spin off of the 2017 It movie where after they ‘defeat’ Pennywise the first time, the club decides to become actual monster hunters to prevent anything like what happened to Georgie (and the other kids in their town) from happening to anyone else.

Cue a few years (or more) down the road and they’re bonafide monster/ghost hunters traveling around to defeat any evils lurking in town. Like a weird Supernatural/Scooby Doo style au.

Twenty seven years after they first encounter It, Pennywise comes back and they all have to confront what made them begin their lifestyle in the first place, and put it to rest once and for all.

𝑡 𝑖 𝑚 𝑒   𝑡 𝑟 𝑎 𝑣 𝑒 𝑙   𝑎 𝑢   𝐼

I think we all know where this is going - we’ve all seen the numerous fics with this exact trope in a multitude of fandoms (well, those of us who read fanfiction anyway). This is officially my little IT time travel au!

I don’t have a particular ship in mind for this, and I don’t mind playing through this plot without any romance at all. That said, I don’t mind adding shipping either, but with a couple stipulations:

• If the romance is happening in the past, I’d prefer for it to be the case that whichever character has gone back in time either slowly starts to forget being an adult OR

• The romance in the past is mostly implication, and the characters become romantic once the time-traveling character has made it back to the (hopefully changed) future.

𝑡 𝑖 𝑚 𝑒   𝑡 𝑟 𝑎 𝑣 𝑒 𝑙   𝑎 𝑢   𝐼 𝐼

This is sort of a reverse of the first one, where instead of some cosmic force pulling one of the older crew backwards in time, a character from the past is zapped into their future. I think this one has the potential to be really fun and comedic with some serious moments strewn throughout.

In this case, I think any romance would be between two adult characters - most likely whichever characters end up taking care of our time traveler. The traveling character can either take over their adult body, or they can arrive in their still-a-kid body and meet their future self. Either way, it could be a good time.

When some of the biggest stars reach the end of their lives, they explode in spectacular supernovas and leave behind incredibly dense cores called neutron stars. Some of these remnants emit powerful radio beams from their magnetic poles. As the star spins, these beams sweep past Earth and produce periodic pulses of radio waves, much like a cosmic lighthouse. This behaviour has earned them the name " pulsars". Pulsars typically spin incredibly fast, often completing a full rotation in just seconds – or even less. Over the last three years, some mysterious objects have emerged that emit periodic radio pulses at much slower intervals, which is hard to explain with our current understanding of neutron stars.

I came into this like "fav definitely won't be that guy" and then proceeded to become obsessed.

I don't know if this group is common knowledge, my Spotify Discover Weekly recommended this and it's a little too funny given my current fixation on Slashfic.

There's this group - they're technically called The Merkins - that's marketing themselves as the "Slashstreet Boys."

They perform songs that sound like boy bands from the 90s/2000s but the lyrics are all sung by slashers like Ghost face. My favorite so far is called Love To Die.
