Parkner Halloween Week! Day Seven, October 31 - Trick or Treating, Costumes “Aren’t you a little old?”
It was exactly five o clock when the elevator doors zipped open and two, almost, unrecognisable faces stepped out. Their voices floated throughout the entire top floor of the Avenger Tower and caused Peter to glance up from his unending pile of textbooks, papers and assignments.
“What the hell man?” The first person whined, his short but plump figure easily recognisable to the brunette even though he was wearing a Darth Vader mask and complete outfit with the drapes and light saber.
“Hey Ned...what’re you doing here?” Peter rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly while the cogs turned inside of his small, innocent mind.
“Uh it’s Halloween doofus, duh.” The other figure, clearly MJ, pointed out with the flick of her knotty hair. Peter turned to examine her costume and shuddered a little at the reality of the makeup she wore. Her skin was painted a yellow-green colour with fake blood pouring from cuts across her forehead, mouth and many places on her neck. Dark bags were placed under her eyes and her teeth had been smudged with red to go with all the blood on her ripped black dress. She was the literal embodiment of a zombie.
“Halloween’s tomorrow.” Peter brushed off their accusation and turned back to his work. When he didn’t receive a reply he looked up with pleading eyes, “right?”
“Shit.” MJ cursed when she realised that Peter was being serious. She rolled her eyes before chanting, “shit, shit shit. You forgot Parker! How did you forget Halloween!?”
“I...I don’t know! It just slipped my mind I guess!” Peter smacked his hands against the sides of his head at the revelation before abruptly standing from his chair, “I...gotta go get ready! My costumes in my room, go get Harley! I think he forgot too.”
“Aight but where exactly is Harley?” Ned added before Peter could bolt from the room.
“Uh...he’s...he’s in the lab! Yeah in the lab.” Peter knitted his brows together in order to remember where he last saw Harley or when he had last talked to him before running from the room and not allowing any more questions.
MJ and Ned both ran back to the elevator and hit the ‘down’ button a million times before the doors actually swung open.
Peter skidded down the hallway on his socks until he reached his bedroom door and shoved it open with too much force. It sent the door straight into the wall leaving a huge dent that was sure to earn him a lecture from Tony later on.
“Fuck.” Peter muttered before closing the door behind him and moving across his room to work out his costume. Moments later, with his enhanced hearing, the sounds of footsteps rumbling down the hallway caught Peter’s attention. He smiled to himself at the familiarity of the weight behind the steps, the timing of the heartbeat, the sound of puffing and the all too familiar curse to follow it all.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck.”
Peter shook his head in a laugh before diving into his closet to throw his costume on, in as little time as possible seeming as his friends were currently waiting in the living room and most likely being hammered with questions from Tony.
***
Both Ned and MJ snapped their heads up the second steps could be heard in the hallway and saw a shadow emerging. They both thought it could only be Harley or Peter and waited to see who it was. Turns out it was neither.
“Heya kids.” Tony strutted in the room, bringing his carefree attitude with him and an empty coffee cup which he dumped in the dishwasher.
“Hey Mr Stark!” Ned exploded happily before covering his mouth at the squeakiness of his tone. MJ chuckled before mumbling a hello to him then glancing up when more footsteps could be heard in the hallway.
“Surely this is Peter or Harley now, they’ve been like-“ Ned checked the watched hidden under his long, black sleeve before turning back to MJ and keeping his voice at a whisper, “twenty minutes.”
MJ hummed before frowning, “Ned it took you like forty minutes to get ready.”
Ned scoffed before realising Captain America had sauntered into the room, neither Peter nor Harley followed and he sighed. Steve glanced at the two and MJ gave a little salute which made him laugh.
“You’re Peter’s friends?” Steve asked with his usual bright smile and leaned on the kitchen bench beside Tony.
“Yup, I’m Michelle.” MJ introduced herself with a half smile that Steve returned and Ned beamed under his mask.
“And I’m Ned Leeds! Or just Ned...nice to meet you Captain America!”
Steve laughed before glancing at Tony in the corner of his eye who shrugged, “nice to meet you two. Also just Steve’s fine.”
Tony clapped his hands together after a few beats of silence and cheerfully asked, “so what’s with the outfits?”
“It’s Halloween, are you seriously too old to remember. Oh wait, don’t tell me they didn’t have a Halloween when you were a kid? Are you that old Tony, geez.” The obvious voice of Harley Keener filled the room and all heads turned to the doorway to give Harley the dramatic entrance he deserved- or more so wanted.
“I know what Halloween is! You’d better watch that mouth of your Keener or I’ll...” Tony started to threaten the blonde but it slowly faltered before he came up with a typical teenage privelage he could take away, “or I’ll take away your phone!”
Tony crossed his arms proudly over his chest while Harley scoffed, slid onto one of the bar stools and whipped a strand of hair out of his eyes, “I don’t have a phone Tony. I dropped it off the roof the other day, remember?”
Tony snapped his jaw shut and sighed loudly making Harley snicker and turn to Ned and MJ who were examining his outfit and trying to piece together who he was.
His hair was greased back thoroughly, it looked like he put a lot more effort into it than usual, and tucked under a nice black rounded hat. He wore a plain white button up shirt which had fake bullet holes in multiple places with fake blood stained across it. Harley leaned back and flipped the fake gun around in his hand while MJ and Ned scanned his body up and down. He had tight black jeans on with black suspenders that hung loosely over his thin frame along with a bloodied handkerchief poking out of his front pocket of his jeans.
“You’re...dead?” Ned guessed which only made Harley roll his eyes. MJ furrowed her brow while trying to use her detective skills to work out who he was.
“You’ll get it when Peter comes.” Harley briefly told them while folding his arms over his chest and rolling his sleeves up to his elbows.
“Aw you did a couples costume? Cute.” Tony teased and Harley quickly flipped him the middle finger.
Everyone looked a little sceptical but sure enough, as soon as Peter entered the room everyone caught on to what their little ‘couples costume’ was. Peter had a slim black suit on with a white undershirt and an open blazer. His hair was combed back and he had a bullethole in the centre of his forehead along with bloody marks smeared in his perfect suit and shirt. A small handgun was tucked neatly into his waistband and a lit cigarette sat in his mouth along with a bag hanging over his shoulder that looked to be filled with money.
“Sorry I took so long, you guys ready to go?” Peter announced after he took a drag on his cigarette and pulled it out of his mouth to speak. Harley felt his own mouth grow dry just at the sight of him in the fitting suit, abdominals clearer than ever, and quickly swallowed before nodding and accompanying him.
“Oh! I know this!” Steve announced when the two teenagers stood side by side, each matching fearless attitudes and bulletholes scattered across their bodies, “Bonnie and Clyde?” Steve squeezed his eyes hit as if to hope that it wasn’t wrong and wouldn’t receive a punishment.
“You got it!” Harley gave him a wink before leaning over and giving Peter a peck on the cheek. Peter fiddled with his cigarette before delicately putting it back in his mouth and glancing at Tony who looked awestruck.
“Are you guys seriously going trick or treating?”
“Nah, we just like to wander ‘round home in this.” Peter answered sarcastically before adding with more of an annoyed tone, “of course we are!”
“Aren’t you a little old?” Tony asked with a sigh and he raked his hand through his messy hair before glancing up at the four teenagers in front of him.
“No ones too old for trick or treating Mr Stark!” Ned chirped in happily and Harley added with a smirk,
“Maybe just you.”
“Kid I swear-“ Tony began and pointed his finger threateningly at Harley who giggled into Peter’s side.
“Anyway!” MJ announced before clearing her throat loudly and giving a aggressive head nod from Peter to the door.
“Yeah we should probably head out, y’know before all the good stuffs gone.” Peter placed his hands on his hips and brushed the open buttons of his blazer away.
“Good idea,” Harley agreed before making a motion towards the elevator with his thumbs.
“Alright. Okay, have fun! Be safe!” Tony called as the four teenagers escaped his presence, “but not too much fun if ya know what I mean!”
Wide-eyed, the teens quickly slid into the elevator and pretended not to hear Tony’s comment as the doors closed behind them, sealing them off from the adults supervision.
***
Happy had been waiting downstairs to drop the group at a street at random and they agreed that they could walk home seeming as they would most likely be out late. With their pockets stuffed full of candy already, the group trudged onwards toward their next target.
MJ and Ned were snacking on their candy a few steps ahead of Peter and Harley who were hand in hand, just enjoying the others presence.
“I told you this would be a cool costume.” Peter bumped his shoulder against Harley’s who laughed.
“I didn’t doubt you.”
“Yes, you did. You said, and I quote, ‘Peter that is a stupid idea and no one will recognise us’.” Peter scoffed as he swung their intertwined hands back and forth.
“Uh Uh, don’t forget the rest of the story. I did also say, and I quote, ‘I’ll only do it for you because I love you,’” Harley added with a smirk and turned to face Peter who poked his tongue out.
“Still doesn’t mean you didn’t doubt me.” Peter complained earning another laugh from Harley who pulled him aside and stopped them from walking for a moment.
“How ‘bout if I make it up to you? Hm? You want all my candy?” Harley reached inside his jeans pockets and fished out a few chocolates and lollies which he had earned from the previous houses they had been to.
Peter made a thinking face before shaking his head, “I think I need something more...personal than that.”
Harley felt his lips tug upright even further than they had already been and leaned in closer, “personal like a kiss?”
Peter hummed and closed his eyes as Harley moved closer, wrapping his arms around Peter’s waist and drawing them closer and closing the gap. When he was just milimetres away he stopped, hesitated, and Peter opened his eyes with his brow furrowed.
“Sorry, I don’t offer those. I guess you’ll have to choose another prize.” Harley shrugged with a shit eating grinnon his face. Peter gave him a light punch on the shoulder,
“That was mean. No that was cruel, Keener. Just cruel.”
Harley only laughed at his succession before actually closing the gap. He smiled and felt Peter run his hands under his hat through his hair, it was at that moment that he knew he loved Peter Parker- he was the Bonnie to his Clyde.

Parkner Halloween Week! Day Six, October 30 - Jack o lantern, Pumpkin Patch “That’s pretty creepy looking.”
Sweat stuck to every crook in Peter’s body, it felt disgusting and rolled off his face in waves. He squinted under the bright and burning sun of the south and huffed his annoyance at being there once again. Harley looked up at the brunette and laughed while tearing off yet another layer, he threw his plaid shirt aside and smirked.
“How the fuck did you deal with this. Every. Single. Day.” Peter spat as he trudged over to Harley, being careful to step over the rows of pumpkins littering the ground.
“‘S really not that bad, you’re just used to your city weather. This-“ Harley spun around while gesturing to the open field they were standing in with small amounts of people lingering around, “-this is the country.”
“No fucking shit.” Peter panted as he tore off his jacket and threw it on top of Harley’s which was lying messily one top of an abandoned pumpkin.
“C’mon, darl. Lighten up, enjoy yourself. ‘S not everyday you get to visit Tennessee and enjoy our Halloween festivities.” Harley mirrored Peter’s pout and slouched his shoulders.
“Your festivities suck.” Peter whined and emphasised his pout even further making Harley laugh loudly.
“You won’t be saying that later tonight when these are done and it cools off.” Harley pointed out as he stepped towards Peter with his hands on his hips. Peter frowned at him and deepened his annoyed expression.
“Wanna bet?”
“Oh c’mon, Pete! I don’t complain about the New York weather!” Harley was now the one whining which made Peter laugh. A couple who had been wandering a few metres beside them started to stare and Peter blushed as Harley apologised.
“Alright I’ll...I’ll stop complaining...for a little bit...” Peter offered and Harley rolled his eyes with nothing else to do but agree to Peter’s terms.
“Sure thing, now have you picked one yet?” Harley asked as he bent down to examine a large pumpkin dividing the two teens.
“No, I’ve been too busy trying to not die of heatstroke.” Peter muttered and began to walk forwards along the line of pumpkins, inspecting briefly before moving along to the next.
“How ‘bout this one?” Harley asked making Peter spin around. He had to bite his tongue not to comment on the blondes southern accent drawling out as he spoke. He wondered if it had something to do with being back in his hometown but he sure as hell wasnt complaining! It was attractive as hell!
Peter stepped back towards Harley and bobbed down next to him to look at the bright orange pumpkin Harley was stroking, “what is it a puppy or somethin’?” Peter laughed and swatted Harley’s hand away.
“Hey, we take good care of these down here! They’re treated better than dogs most of the time.” Harley shot back and returned his hand to smoothly feeling the bumps of the pumpkin before him.
“I reckon it’s perfect.” Peter approved and Harley beamed as he rose to his feet and cracked his back.
“Well let’s get this baby in the ‘barrow hey?”
“Let’s get this baby in the ‘barrow hey?” Peter finally gave in to the urge and mocked Harley’s accent with a shit eating grin on his face. Harley spun around the second he opened his mouth and narrowed his eyes with a mischievous smirk on his lips.
“What’d you say, Parker?” Harley taunted as he stepped closer to Peter who took one back, now starting to regret his previous actions.
“Ooh we’re on last name basis now Keener? Ouch gotta say that hurts.” Peter quipped quickly as Harley took another step forward. Peter took one back but felt his foot hook on something else and his body stumbled backwards. His heart lurched in his chest from the unexpected action but even with spider reflexes he couldn’t catch himself. He soon realised, much to his dismay, he had tripped on a pumpkin and was now lying in the mud between the rows of the orange food.
“Ah shit, these were my good Nike’s.” Peter grumbled when he glanced over Harley’s back at his muddy shoes after Harley had launched himself onto the other boy as soon as he fell.
“You’re a clutz, Parker.” Harley laughed and pushed a muddy strand of Peter’s hair out of his eyes while he kneeled over top of his body.
“Yeah yeah I know. Trust me the first time I realised was when I was on patrol and there was this billboard right? I was swinging around and-“ Peter started to ramble but was cut off when Harley surged forwards and pushed his lips against Peter’s.
Lucky for Peter Parker, Harley Keener found rambling, clumsy, spider vigilantes extremely attractive. Peter smiled into the kiss and pushed back, moving one of his arms around Harley’s neck to run through his wavy blonde hair and left the other to support both the teens weight on the ground.
Harley pulled back to catch his breath and laughed at Peter’s increased panting.
“You wanna go get our pumpkins done so we can cool off? I know a good swim hole.” Harley smirked and Peter cocked his eyebrow high up on his forehead.
“I have two replies to that. The first being hell yes I’m hotter than the fucking sun right now and the second, are you just saying that to get me shirtless?”
“You can’t prove anything.” Harley sent a wink at Peter who blushed and felt his own heart rate increase as Harley lifted himself from being on top of him and pulled himself to his feet. Peter followed suit and smiled as he heard Harley’s heart begin to thump faster when he intertwined their fingers.
“You getting nervous babe?” Peter teased and Harley internally cursed that Peter could hear his heart. Damn spider powers.
“Nope.” Harley effortlessly replied while popping the ‘p’ but Peter laughed as his heart skipped a beat from nerves once again then thrummed louder.
“You can’t lie to me.” Peter whispered into his ear as they walked hand in hand, now covered in mud, back towards their pumpkins to collect them and put them in the wheelbarrow.
***
Once the two had taken their pumpkins back to Harley’s garage and been for a quick dip followed by some kisses then Harley’s sister yelling at them to stop contaminating the water, they decided to get started on their jack o lanterns.
They had been working for a couple of hours now and the old A/C wasn’t very helpful in the heat. Peter had left his wet board shorts on and not bothered with a shirt knowing he would just get hot again and Harley settled on wearing his plaid shirt unbuttoned along with his damp shorts which kept him cool.
“How’s yours going?” Peter asked as he leaned backwards in his chair and made a satisfied hum when his back cracked in multiple places.
“It’s going. How ‘bout you?” Harley asked and looked up from his much practiced carving skills at his boyfriend who was staring lovingly at him.
“You look hot when you work.” Peter breathed dreamily before running a nervous hand through his curls. Harley laughed and rose from his chair to give him a kiss. Harley strided over in a couple of steps with his long legs and wrapped his arms around Peter’s back while resting his head on the brunettes shoulder before peppering his sharp jawline in kisses. “Harls- Harley!- stop- Harley!” Peter giggled between breaths as Harley moved from his jaw to his neck and finally curled his head around to reach Peter’s lips.
“You almost done yours? It’s gonna be dark soon.” Harley whispered as he drew back and leaned his head on Peter’s shoulder.
“Should be, give me another ten minutes.” Peter whispered back and gave Harley a peck on the cheek before turning back to his masterpiece.
***
“That’s...” Harley trailed off before finding his words again, “that’s pretty creepy looking.”
Peter pouted at his creation with the lit candle inside, the carved out eyes were narrowed in a menacing kind of way with the creepiest grin on the front of his pumpkins face.
“In a hot, sexy kind of way!” Harley corrected when he saw Peter’s mood drop but smiled when it rose again.
“Yours is amazing.” Peter complimented as he leaned his head on Harley’s shoulder and felt the hammock the two were lying in rock back and forth.
“I’ve been making these since I was six, of course it’s amazing.” Harley smugly replied making Peter laugh and give him a nudge in the ribs.
“You have to teach me to do that.” Peter whispered as he repositioned his head into Harley’s chest who hummed and stroked his hair.
“How ‘bout next year? We can make all the pumpkins we like and win the competition together.” Harley murmured into Peter’s mess of curls on his head.
“Together.” Peter repeated with a smile and snuggled further into Harley’s chest while the two rocked back and forth, soon falling into a fitful slumber.

Parkner Halloween Week! Day Five, October 29 - Apple Picking, Wheelbarrows “Trust me.”
A small thump to the back of his head caused Peter to spin around. He squinted his eyes in an attempt to scan through the rows of apple trees in front of him for whoever threw the round, red fruit now sittting at his feet. The back of his head throbbed ever so slightly from the apple hitting him and he rubbed the sore spot, ruffling his curls as he did so, before noticing a familiar blonde teenager cackling away in the distance.
“You’re going to regret that!” Peter called out to the teen who was doubled over in laughter at his confusion. The blonde looked up from his position leaning on the closest apple tree and allowed his blue eyes to meet brown.
“I’m sure I will sweetheart!” Harley called back before spinning on his heel, picking up his basket of apples, and sauntering over to the next tree. Peter huffed before picking up the fruit at his feet and taking a bite. The apple crunched in his mouth and flicked juice in all directions but the brunette didn’t mind, it was delicious.
“Jokes on you, this apple is so good.” Peter bragged to Harley when he wandered over to the tree Harley was currently picking apples from. The blonde glanced over his shoulder, midway through picking another apple, and winked.
“Duh, that was the point darl.” Harley quipped with raised brows making Peter both want to smack the smug grin from his face and kiss it at the same time. Damn those Keener features.
“Mhm.” Peter hummed while taking another bite and leaning against the trunk of the brown tree Harley had claimed. Harley attempted to ignore him but was hard when all he could hear was Peter crunching on the juicy fruit and his constant gaze in the blondes direction.
“You need something babe?” Harley asked after a few minutes and he tugged another of the red fruit from its branch and placed in with his collection in the brown basket. Peter shrugged before taking another bite of his apple and pushing himself off the tree. Harley rolled his eyes before beginning to start pulling at another apple when he felt arms wrap around his waist and a head rest on his shoulder.
Peter hummed as he snuggled into Harley’s neck and disguarded the apple core onto the floor for some animal to take, or to biodegrade over time. Harley pursed his lips in an attempt to regain control and stay focused, but it was pretty bloody hard when his boyfriend was holding him in place. “Sweet, please I need to finish this up first,” Harley pleaded while trying to peel Peter’s arms from his torso but the other man was much stronger and more persistent.
“But ‘m happy here.” Peter mumbled into Harley’s golden curls before peppering kisses along his neck. Harley twisted his neck to escape Peter’s distraction earning a scoff from the brunette and his arms to unravel.
“There’s time for that later.” Harley promised before sliding out of the way to grab his basket and move to the next tree which needed apple picking. Harley barely missed the pout which grew on Peter’s features as he spun around in search for the next tree.
“Later?” Peter echoed while trudging after his boyfriend who stopped in front of the almost full wheelbarrow and emptied the contents of his basket into it. Harley tossed the basket on the top of the pile before spinning around to become face to face with the pouting teenager.
“Yes, later.” Harley cocked his head to the side with a snarky grin that Peter usually would kill to see. He could feel his heart melting at the sight of the happy and mischievous grin that he was the cause of.
“Do you promise?” Peter asked while taking a step forwards, Harley took one back and bumped into the edge of the wheelbarrow while Peter moved forwards again until their were chest to chest.
“I promise, sugar,” Harley whispered into Peter ear before the brunette grinned like a maniac and leaned forwards to close the space between their lips. Only to find himself not touching Harley’s lips but his hand - more specifically his palm.
“Um?” Peter asked, muffled by the hand now over his mouth and his brows knitted together while Harley laughed.
“I told you later did I?” Harley teased before pushing Peter off of him and moving around to grab the handles of the wheelbarrow.
“You’re such a tease, Keener.” Peter moaned while slouching his shoulders and following the blonde who had started pushing the pile of apples towards the nearby house.
“Well they ain’t call me a playboy for no reason.” Harley winked at Peter who screwed his face up.
“Literally no one calls you that and I’m the only one you’ve dated since you moved to New York.” Peter pointed out with amusement thick in his voice when Harley gaped his mouth a couple times, failing to make a comeback and ending up choosing on replying with a scoff.
They walked in silence for the couple of minutes back to the house where Harley dumped the apples in a large pile ready to be picked up later in the week and Peter eyed both the wheelbarrow and the blonde.
“Somethin’ to say?” Harley cocked an eyebrow up as he wiped his dirty hands on his unbuttoned plaid shirt and Peter tossed up which comment to make - the one involving his boyfriend or the one involving the wheelbarrow.
“You know what that would be good for?” Peter asked after eventually deciding on the wheelbarrow. Harley followed his gaze to the empty wheelbarrow and cocked his eyebrow higher up on his forehead.
“What’s that darlin’?”
Peter didn’t bother to explain, just moved over to the one wheeled contraption in a few strides before looking between it and his boyfriend. A almost murderous twinkle appeared in his eye and Harley wasn’t sure if he should run or return it. “Get in,” Peter started after sizing up the compartment of the wheelbarrow and his lanky boyfriend.
“What?” Harley stammered as he watched Peter rise from his slouched position over the wheelbarrow and repeat himself,
“Get in.”
—————
That’s how Peter Parker and Harley Keener appeared at the top of ‘Apple Hill’ with the blonde perched in the wheelbarrow, knees up to his chest and the brunette standing behind him with his fingers wrapped firmly around the handles.
“Are you sure about this?” Harley asked as he surveyed the situation, noting how he was the one inside the vehicle and Peter the one who pushed - weird coincidence.
“Trust me.” Peter told him while leaning over to become face to face with Harley who bit his bottom lip but nodded.
“I trust you.”
“Good.” Peter cheerfully stated as he rolled his shoulders and grinned at Harley who laughed at his enthusiasm and caught his contagious grin. That was one thing Peter had an absolute talent for; contagious facials. Whenever he was upset, his brows would knit together and his doe brown eyes would grow ten sizes bigger making whoever was with him want to cry, or how whenever he was happy his nose would crinkle up and eyes squint in the corners making Harley, at that moment, want to kiss every inch of his face.
So he did.
Harley leaned forwards and Peter assumed now was ‘later’. He giggled as Harley smothered him in kisses, on his nose, his cheeks, his neck and finally his lips. Peter smiled into the kiss and moved his lips in sync with the blonde, something he had learned to do long ago.
“You ready?” Peter asked when he pulled apart to catch his breath. Harley turned himself back to face the front and smiled at the setting sun, reflecting off the landscape and giving a heavenly feel to everything around him - including Peter’s soft hand on his shoulder.
“As I’ll ever be.” Harley replied with a grin. Peter took this as his cue and lifted the back of the wheelbarrow and began to run down the hill, pushing his whooping boyfriend in front of him. The wheelbarrow quickly gained speed but Peter made sure it stayed at a safe rate, even if Harley thought he was going to die, there was no way in hell Peter would let that happen. Because Peter loved Harley and he would protect him with his life. No matter what.

Parkner Halloween Week! Day Four, October 28 - Leaf Piles, Sweaters “You just gotta do it.”
Crisp leaves had started to fall from the bare trees, the soft breeze picked them up and scattered them across the old cobblestone footpath. The smell of dew on the leaves and fresh pastries drifted through the air in a pleasant manner.
“See? It’s actually pretty nice in the mornin’ ain’t it Parker?” Harley Keener teased to the shorter teen beside him. Peter quickly wiped the smile from his face and huffed, sending a small billow of smoke/steam from his mouth and out into the chilly morning air.
“I would still rather be at home, in bed.” Peter said bitterly making Harley laugh, he shook his head and watched all the hustle and bustle of the morning markets. Peter drew out a shaky breath and shoved his icy cold hands into the pockets of his huge jacket in an attempt to warm up - it’s not exactly easy when you can’t thermoregulate.
“C’mon,” Harley whined and pulled one of Peter’s hands out of his pockets to intertwine their fingers, “let’s go get some food huh?”
Peter nodded and gave Harley’s warm hand a squeeze while soaking in the feel of the callouses and small healed burns. Harley gave a squeeze back and then tugged Peter along the footpath, kicking the dry and crunchy leaves as he went. As they started to walk faster, Peter felt himself warming slightly, but he was still shivering and Harley noticed and cocked his head to the side.
“You cold babe?” He whispered as he drew Peter in closer, Peter snuggled into his body heat and nodded into Harley’s neck, “here take this,” Harley breathed, his each word he puffed onto the back of Peter’s neck and sent warm shivers down his spine. Harley pulled the maroon sweater he had previously been wearing, over his head and shoved it towards Peter who grinned childishly, his nose began to glow a bright red and his cheeks matched.
“You s- sure you won’t get c- cold?” Peter chattered as he tugged the sweater over his head before slipping his jacket over the top. The sleeves went past his hands and he wore them like gloves, and the waist went down mid way his thigh but it warmed him immediately.
“Not as cold as you were.” Harley winked and reached for Peter’s sweater covered hand. Peter laughed and calmed his chattering teeth while following Harley down the path who was running ahead every so often to jump on some dry leaves and kicking them in front of him. After a few minutes, Harley stopped dead in his tracks, it worried Peter for a second before he saw what the blonde was looking at.
“You just gotta do it.” Peter whispered into Harley’s ear from behind while peering over the taller teens shoulder on his toes. Harley glanced behind him before giving a nod and a huge smirk grew across his features.
Harley obeyed Peter’s request, and launched forwards in one big leap onto a large, knee high, pile of dry leaves. They crunched underneath his weight and he kicked them outwards, sending each leaf to a new destination. Some joined the flow of the wind and flew to god knows where, and some went onto the road only to be crushed by cars and some flew right up into Peter’s face.
“Harley!” Peter snapped while spitting out the fragments of leaves in his mouth and brushing them out his hair. Harley spun around with a shit eating grin on his face,
“You look hot.” He snickered as he bounded towards his boyfriend, smiling like he had just won a Nobel prize and wrapped his arms around Peter’s waist.
“I always look hot - but I’m actually cold right now.” Peter corrected with a smug grin, following suit and wrapping his arms around the blondes neck. Harley laughed and plucked some crinkled leaves from the brunettes curls and traced his jawline with the other hand.
“That you do,” Harley agreed with another puff of steam/smoke coming from his lips and spreading over Peter’s face. He wrinkled his nose at the smell of morning breath but basked in its warmth before leaning forwards to connect their lips. Harley smiled into the kiss and Peter instantly felt warmer, his body shivered with heat and his stomach did flips while he smiled as well. Harley was always warm, Peter didn’t know how or why, but he had a talent to always be warm to the touch. This gave him the role of being Peter’s personal body heater - it was almost like they were meant to be.
Peter pulled away by an inch and gazed up lovingly into Harley’s blue eyes, “let’s go get some food now, I’m starving.”
Harley laughed and moved to the side to wrap his arm around Peter’s shoulders, “well there goes the moment. I really thought you were going to say something romantic, I should’ve known...”
“There’s time for romance later, right now I want food.” Peter whined earning another laugh out of the blonde who pulled him closer.
“Sure thing, anything for you.” He whispered as he gave a quick peck on Peter’s temple. Peter rolled his eyes and flicked his hair out of his eyes,
“Stop being so cheesy.”
“Am I not allowed to say romantic comments to my boyfriend?” Harley gave a soft frown and turned his head to stare at him in a mocking way.
“Romantic comments are fine, I said cheesy comments.” Peter corrected matter-of-factly making Harley laugh and shake his head before kicking another pile of leaves on the ground, the leaves got caught in the wind and flew straight into Peter’s hair again.
“Harley!”

Parkner Halloween Week! Day Three, October 27 - Witches, Magic “Were you always able to do that?”
The wind was howling violently, rattling the glass doors to the building illuminated by neon lights. Pounding music could be heard from inside and far down the wet street and the smell of alcohol and sweaty bodies lingered in the air. Peter wrinkled his nose as he stepped inside, Well he was more pulled by his small group of friends who all desperately wanted to get out of the rain and what better place to take cover than a club?
“This place is sick!” Ned exclaimed while straightening out his navy dress shirt to look more acceptable against the crowds of nameless faces. The music thumped in the teens ribcages and gave them all the urge to join in the dancing.
“I don’t think many places are cool but...I will admit this is kinda cool-ish.” MJ agreed as she shrugged her leather jacket from her shoulders and held it in her arms, Peter glanced over at her and sent a nod while noting how beautiful she looked that night. It was undeniable - MJ looked stunning. Her usual crazy hair was combed down into a cute plait, she wore a shiny red dress and previously had her leather jacket to accompany her outfit.
“Agreed.” Harley chimed in with a smile while wrapping an arm around Peter’s shoulders, the brunette shifted his gaze over to the blonde and smiled at his tight maroon shirt, showing off the abdominals hiding underneath. The four of them had planned to go to the new restaurant downtown then go bowling afterwards and finish the night with a movie. The rain spoiled their plans and they had to rush into the first open building in sight, which so happened to be this club.
“Would you care for this dance?” Harley offered his hand to Peter and bowed slightly in a mix of romantic and professional manner. Peter beamed and took his hand, it was cold and still damp from the rain but he didn’t mind.
“I would be honoured.” Peter replied as he laced their fingers together and the two began to move towards the crowd. Peter could hear so much, glasses clinking, yells over the music, many people kissing in the hallways, the music thumping along with everyone’s heavy breathing and pounding hearts but the only one he could focus on was Harley’s.
“I’m gonna get drinks!” MJ exclaimed to pull her and Ned away from third wheeling, again, and Ned obliged without hesitation. MJ has always looked the oldest of the group and it was decided, without discussing it, she would be the one to buy drinks with her fake ID. She really hadn’t used it much but on the odd occasion she always came back beaming with rounds of shots or a dozen beers in her hand - no one ever second guessed her age.
Harley led Peter into the mess of faces and sweaty bodies and the two began to jump around in time with the music. Peter felt his chest warm as he watched Harley’s blue eyes twinkle with happiness and the disco lights radiated off his face like he was an angel. They kept one hand intertwined so they didn’t get lost or torn apart and occasionally fell on top of one another in a fit of laughter. Though they were most likely the only sober ones there, they probably looked the drunkest with the constant laughter and tripping over other people and themselves.
After a few songs, and when the two teens were soaked in sweat and puffing, Peter pulled Harley out of the crowd. His previously gelled down brown hair was loose and curls were escaping which would have annoyed Peter if he had looked in a mirror but Harley smiled and ran his hand through them, fingers tingling at the silky smooth feel. Peter slid away from Harley’s hand and attempted to flatten it out again but it was too late, the damage was done and now the curls were bouncing back making Peter huff and Harley swoon.
They weaved past the sea of elbows and soon found themselves almost choking from the lack of air. Harley and Peter pushed past everyone until they collapsed out in the open, noticing MJ and Ned sitting in a booth with some empty beer bottles, some full ones and a round of shots in the middle.
“Hell yeah!” Harley snorted as he stumbled over to the table with Peter in tow, almost tripping over his much too big dress shoes. Peter took a few deep breaths and smiled at the sweet taste of oxygen again while he and Harley slipped into the edge of the booth together. Ned scooted closer to MJ and laughed while throwing back another gulp of the alcohol.
“Now you two have decided to join the party, LETS DO SHOTS!” MJ excitedly yelled and pushed the small clear substance in front of each of the teens. Ned swapped the beer for the small glass and Peter reached out quickly for his.
“On three.” Harley grinned while raising his to his mouth, “One. Two. THREE.”
The second Harley yelled the last number all four threw back the drink and made loud scoffing noises afterwards at the sting it sent down their throats. Ned coughed a little, still not used to the strength of it, but laughed afterwards.
Peter smiled and suddenly grew excited when he could be the one buying drinks for the group, all four were currently 20, and none could actually buy the drinks with a proper ID but MJ only had a few months to go and was used to being the chauffeur for their drinks anyway.
After MJ stumbled over to the bar to buy Peter and Harley drinks, Ned turned to the two and yelled over the music, “isn’t this place great?”
“So fun, way better than bowling!” Peter agreed as Harley slung his arm over the edge of the booth and lightly brushed the brunette’s shoulder. He shivered at the touch but quickly recovered with a smile as MJ set down two beers and returned their change from the money they gave her.
“One beer for the blonde and another beer for the brown.” MJ teased in the most waiter like voice she could, causing an outbreak of giggles from the entirety of the table. Peter popped the cap off his with his nail, perks of super strength, and watched Harley struggle for a good five minutes before offering to help.
“You want help with that, sweet?” Peter sneered with a shit eating grin on his face. Harley looked up, a light shade of pink spreading over his dimpled cheeks before shaking his head, much too stubborn to receive help on anything, and continued attempting to pry the lid off.
Peter watched with amusement for another five minutes, sipping away at his own drink before Harley moaned loudly and shoved the bottle in the brunette’s direction, “please?” He muttered under his breath adding to Peter’s amusement.
Peter laughed manically as he popped the lid off effortlessly and Harley’s jaw dropped to the floor, “you’ll need to repay me for that y’know.” Peter pointed out with a wink.
“And what kind of payment will you want? Money, drinks, dates? I offer all, it’s a 24 hour service.” Harley snarked back as he took a swig and settled more into the comfortable leather booth, pressing his arm closer around Peter’s shoulders who blushed at the contact.
“Well I-“ Peter started but was cut off as a crackly and frail voice yelled to them,
“Excuse me?” All four heads, which had all been laughing at the two teens conversation, snapped to the front of the booth where a short old lady stood. She had long greying hair which reached her waistline and a long black cloak which ended at her ankles, “Would you be interested in seeing some magic?”
“Magic?” Ned repeated, skepticism clear in his voice but the lady nodded profusely. She had a serious look on her face and for some unknown reason, Peter thought she was telling the truth.
“Yes magic, if you pay for a short show I will show you.” The lady urged, her black eyes gleamed in desperation for the money. Harley scoffed while MJ shook her head, he had this weird feeling in his gut that he should help her out though. It was nearing Halloween and she probably just needed some money, after a mental debate he groaned aloud and pulled out a twenty dollar bill from his office pants.
“How long will this get us?” He asked but kept his gaze unwavering on the lady when Peter shot his head around and stared, bewildered, at him. Peter felt his eyes bulge and he nearly dropped his jaw at the amazement of Harley’s kindness towards this stranger, not that he wasn’t a kind person, it’s just he usually ignored beggars on the streets or people trying to scam him for money.
“Ten bucks for ten minutes.” The lady chanted and accepted the twenty that Harley offered, not having any change but he didn’t mind. Twenty minutes of ‘magic’ would just make the night more memorable right?
The lady smiled a crooked, broken, and toothy grin that gave the group of teens the heebie-jeebies. Harley swallowed and hoped he hadn’t just wasted twenty bucks, Well he knew he sort of did but hoped the lady wouldn’t run off like the last time he gave money to someone.
“So what are you? A witch?” MJ joked as the lady gently pocketed the bill and then glanced back up with a soft nod.
“Hm, yes. A witch indeed.” She hummed which only made MJ frown and then turn to Ned with an incredulous look on her face.
She reached a wrinkled hand into her cloak and pulled out a deck of cards to reveal it to the group. Instantly, the four cracked up into a fit of laughter. Peter felt kind of bad for the lady but he couldn’t contain it.
“This is not a laughing matter!” The lady snapped and closed her hand in front of her, kind of like when a conductor closes his hand to silence a band, and glared at the four, “you do not laugh at my magic.”
“Oh sorry ma’am, you continue with your witchy work. We’l just sit back and watch the magic unfold.” Ned grinned at and folded his arms behind his head, he could feel his mind starting to go hazy from the alcohol but laughed it off and focused on the lady.
The witch lady scoffed before pulling out the cards from its pack and shuffling them, “I do not know the order.” She mumbled before starting off her card tricks.
They varied from guessing what card they had, to pulling the cards out from behind the viewers ears, old, but classics and each time she grinned at her ‘magic’ all four of the teens roared with laughter. After the twenty minutes had passed she offered the pack to the group and pulled her cloak tightly over his thin body.
“I wish you all the well, especially over this Halloween season.” She nodded and did a small bow to Harley, Peter, MJ and Ned who clapped and whooped in response. Once they were sure she was out of an earshot they cracked into a long, belly-aching laughing fit.
“Oh that was gold.” MJ wiped a tear from the corner of her eye as she calmed her hysterical laughter. Ned nodded, not being able to speak from all the puffing, and Peter wheezed with laughter once again. He felt a small knock to his elbow, accidental, but he glanced over and saw Harley messing around with the cards.
“You know magic too do ya?” Peter teased and elbowed the blonde in the ribs who jumped a little at the contact and laughed under his breath.
“Nah I just...” he trailed off before fanning out the cars and offering them to Peter who cocked his eyebrow, “pick a card, any card.”
“Rightio...” Peter chuckled as he slipped a card from the pack, Harley felt his lips perk upright as he pushed the fanned out cards back into a stack and shuffled them. Peter glanced at his card, memorised it, then handed it back to Harley who slotted it in the deck once again. After going through a few cards, flipping them upright and waiting, Harley finally found Peter’s, on his first guess, and Peter’s eyes bulged our just as they had before when Harley paid for the ‘magic show’.
“Were you always able to do that?” He felt breathless, like someone had just knocked the oxygen out of his lungs, and moved his gaze from his card, king of hearts, up to Harley. The southern teens blue eyes had much mystery to them, too much to read, but Peter had learned to since meeting him and at that second he saw a flash of pain. Not physical pain, he knew what that looked like and it wasn’t that, more of a pained memory, a pained thought.
“No um, my Dad taught me to when I was young.” Harley rubbed the back of his neck nervously at the memory, quickly trying to hide his actual sadness of the memory with nervousness. Not a great fill in but he’d rather look nervous than sad. Harley Keener was not sad about his father, he had to be the man of the house once he left and the men didn’t mourn over things like that, they sucked it up and dealt with it - like a man.
Peter wasn’t dumb. Sure sometimes he would do dumb things like putting himself in life threatening situations in which Mr Stark had to save him from but he definitely wasn’t dumb. And Harley wasn’t either. He knew that Peter knew he was lying but Peter also knew he just didn’t want to talk about in front of the others, so he dropped it. For now.
“Well you still owe me a debt, maybe a magic show would pay it off.” Peter suggested with a grin and Harley rolled his eyes. MJ snorted with laughter and suggested quickly,
“Yeah you have to wear the cape as well though!”
“I am not doing that!” Harley whined but Peter just gave him a pointed look with his big, brown puppy eyes which made Harley’s heart stop. Shit. Yeah he was screwed now, maybe he would end up doing it after all?

Parkner Halloween Week! Day Two, October 26 - Spiders, Scary Stories “I feel like I’m being watched.”
Movie night was a tradition in the Parker-Keener relationship. No matter where or what film, Harley Keener and Peter Parker would spend Friday night watching a movie together. They started the tradition when Harley moved to NY, sitting beside one another and bickering about the actors or the plot or the choice of the movie in the lab. As time went on they began to grow closer, snuggling in the romantics and horror and falling over one another in laughter in the comedies. They started just watching them in the lab once they had been working for too long and were buggered, but it soon changed to Peter’s house then in Harley’s room at the tower or the Avenger living room.
Tonight they had decided to do something different. They went out to the local cinema which had been screening the newest Halloween themed horror film, fun right? It had always been public knowledge that Peter Parker was an absolute scaredy cat in horror films and every time Harley picked one at home Peter would end up snuggling his face into his boyfriends chest and shaking. Harley thought it was hilarious and always held him tightly while rolling his eyes and making a snarky comment about Spider-Man being so scared over a movie.
The film had just finished and the pair were strolling out the cinema with their arms around one another. It had been the first real time Peter didn’t end up whimpering in Harley’s arms and to say the blonde was proud would be an understatement.
“I just can’t believe you have started overcoming your fear of scary movies.” Harley laughed at the brunette who frowned and pouted.
“I don’t have a fear of scary movies I just don’t overly enjoy them. Plus I barely watched it so I don’t think it really counts.” Peter shot back and quite frankly, he wasn’t really lying. He had spent a large quantity of the movie throwing popcorn at his significant other and playing footsies, yes they got told to be quiet from the staff multiple times but they didn’t mind, they were having fun.
Harley just laughed and tried to hide his jumpiness. Unlike Peter, Harley had actually paid attention to the movie and for the first time, was actually feeling a little shaky afterwards. At least he had Peter to distract him.
“You alright babe?” Peter asked when he noticed Harley staring blankly into the distance, Harley snapped himself from his thoughts and tried to ignore the illusions and tricks his mind was playing.
“‘M fine.” Harley answered and squeezed Peter’s shoulders as they stepped out of the cinema and an icy breeze blew through his hair.
Peter didn’t answer but snuggled closer into Harley’s body heat and smiled when they stopped out the front. Harley shifted his arm so he could face Peter and kissed him gently on the lips.
“G’night.”
“See you in the morning?” Peter answered with a smile and felt his cheeks reddening from the cold of the night. Harley laughed and nodded,
“How ‘bout we meet up at the coffee shop near the tower. Y’know the one which puts marshmallows in the coffee.”
“It’s a date.” Peter chuckled and Harley laughed before letting go of the brunette and allowing him to head over to the car which May was sitting in, waiting. Harley beamed and waved at her, she smiled back and returned the wave.
Peter slipped into the car only to be bombarded with questions of his movie date by May. She pulled out of the car park and Peter waved once more to Harley who smiled then spun on his heel and began the short walk back to Stark Tower.
“So how was it?” May started simple, like she always did, and Peter rolled his eyes with a smile.
“It was good, I didn’t get scared but I think Harles did.” Peter pulled out his phone and laughed when he saw a text from Harley straight away.
Harles <3: I don’t think we should watch that movie again. it was scary
Petey: u scared Keener? I thought I was the scaredy cat
“So you kept it PG in there? I’m sure kids were around-“ May started but Peter cut her off with a scoff.
“Yes! Aunt May that’s- why would you think that?” He spluttered and she giggled while keeping her eyes on the road.
Harley was walking on the footpath towards Stark Tower when he started to hear perculiar noises in the alleyways he passed that sounded too much like the clowns from the movie.
The cold breeze sent shivers up his spine and goosebumps scattered across his skin, adding to the eerie mood. He pulled the hood of his jumper over his head and shoved his hands into his pockets to distract himself.
“You’re being ridiculous Keener.” Harley mumbled to himself when he jumped a foot in the air from what sounded like the lid of a dumpster flipping shut. His heart was drumming aggressively in his chest and his breathing fast, “shit,” Harley muttered when his hands started shaking in his pockets.
Harley Keener was not one to get scared. Harley had many strong traits but scared was never a word that one would use to describe the blonde teen. He had once picked a fight with a 6’0 man made of pure muscle and not backed down, hell he hadn’t even been scared. He left with a broken arm and bruised ribs but he was sure it was worth it and would happily do it again.
Harley had grown up with the sounds of drunk parents, which soon changed to parent, and it kind of immunised him to fear. Scary movies were second nature to the blonde and none had managed to get him to bat an eye, except this one.
He shook his head to brush it off, wondering if this is what fear felt like, and walked faster on the footpath only to hear thudding behind him. He whipped his head around only to see an empty space where he thought he would see a person.
“Fuck.” Harley cursed at himself and took his head in his hands. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and quickly fished it out and took it in his shaky hands. A message from Peter.
Petey <3: hey I just got home, thought I should let ya know. U home yet? ;)
Harley stared at the screen for a few moments trying to read it slowly so he wouldn’t have to return to his near panic. But the world didn’t work like that. His fingers were rapidly shaking now and his lip quivered as he tried to think of something to reply.
Peter, knowing Harley always replies in 0.0001 seconds after he sends a message, started to worry for the blonde when nothing came back and quickly hit dial. What a worry wart?
Harley saw the screen light up with Peter’s name and slowly swiped to accept the call.
“Hey you alright?” Peter asked quickly and Harley swallowed his shaky voice while replying,
“Yeah yeah ‘m fine.” He snapped his head behind him when he heard a crunch on the rocks sidewalk then shook his head and a hot feeling rose in his throat, “no.”
“No?” Peter repeated then jumped off of his bed which he had been lying on and began to pace around his bedroom, “what’s going on? Do you need help?”
“I feel like I’m being watched.” Harley whispered into the phone, voice croaky, and Pete felt his heart snap in two. He had never heard Harley like this.
“Where are you?”
“Hm?” Harley mumbled and scuffed his shoes on the pavement in front of him while keeping his attention on Peter’s voice.
“Where are you right now? I’m going to take you home.” Peter told him firmly and Harley chuckled a little,
“You don’t need to do that.”
“I know, but I want to. Now answer the fucking question,” Peter ordered and Harley felt a small smile quirk on his lips at his partners bossiness.
“I’m uh-“ Harley glanced around him and saw the Stark Tower gleaming in the distance, “-I think I’m a couple kilometres from the tower. Maybe on fourth?”
Harley heard shuffling on the other end of the line and frowned. What the hell was he doing?
“Alright well look for the spider in the sky.” Peter grinned as he slipped the mask over his face and slid out of his apartment window. Harley laughed and nodded as the call transferred from Peter’s phone to his suit.
“Do you see me yet?” Peter asked after a few minutes of just the sounds of his puffing every time he shot another web and his body was thrown across the sky. Harley squinted at the sky and nearly screamed when he saw a figure flip past a nearby building.
“Yeah I see you.” Harley whispered and saw the dark figure do a U turn in the sky then swing towards him. Peter locked eyes and grinned under the mask,
“Ah there’s my man.”
“I don’t think I classify as your man if I’m literally calling for help from being a little scared.” Harley pouted and Peter shrugged as he landed on his knee and foot in a crouch in front of the blonde.
“You alright?” Peter asked as he stood and wrapped Harley in a hug. Harley nodded into his shoulder and felt his worries melt away.
“I’m better now, that movie seriously scared the shit out of me.” He admitted and Peter grinned,
“Who’s the scaredy cat now huh?”
“Still you.” Harley retorted with a smirk and Peter crossed his arms over his chest while shooting back,
“Do you want my help or not?” Harley beamed at his boyfriend in shining spandex. He couldn’t see it but Peter was beaming back and quickly lifted Harley and wrapped his arms around his own neck.
“Hold tight, it’s going to be a bumpy ride,” Peter warned with a laugh and Harley nodded quickly before tightening his grip around Peter’s neck and legs around his waist. He was not about to fall. Peter, Spider-Man, shot a web quickly and they took off.
He swung around the city, showing off a little but who said he couldn’t? Peter swung around the Statue of Liberty and Harley pressed his head against Peter’s neck in admiration of his boyfriend. Peter definitely took the long way there but neither minded, it was fun.
Once Peter made it to Harley’s window he gently opened it and crawled inside, making sure he used the floor and not the roof, before setting Harley down on the plush carpet.
“Thank you.” Harley whispered and Peter brushed it of humbly,
“Do you feel safer now?”
“I do.” Harley blushed a little and then fell onto his bed in a puff. Peter laughed, closed the window and joined him while slipped his mask over his head to reveal his flattened curls and flushed face.
“We still on for coffee tomorrow?” Peter grinned at Harley while turning his head to face the blonde. Harley did the same and flashed his crooked smirk,
“I would think so.”

Parkner Halloween Week! Day One, October 25 - Ghosts, Haunted House “Are you afraid of the dark?”
“How do I look?” Peter spun around a few times in his living room to show off the white tee and jeans along with the small angelic wings perched on his back. Ned looked him up and down and clapped slowly,
“I’m glad you didn’t go with the devil, you’re too nice for that.” Ned commented with a chuckle earning a smack to the head as Peter passed him into the kitchen.
“I can be bad when I want to!” Peter whined and Ned just gave him the bullshit look before following him into the kitchen and leaning on the breakfast bar. Peter pulled himself up onto the bench and began to fiddle around with the halo he was attempting to attach to his head.
After watching Ned painfully attempt to put it on, Tony strutted into the room as he usually did and gave Peter a hand gesture to come closer, “here kid I gotcha.”
“Thanks Mr Stark.” Peter mumbled as Tony stepped back to examine the feathered and sparkly halo restraining Peter’s brown curls.
“What did I say about the Mr Stark thing?” Tony tutted and Peter shrugged and blushed a little,
“I like formalities.”
“Yeah well I don’t, it’s Tony or I’m kicking you out. Got it?” Tony gave Peter a pointed look and the teen nodded quickly not wanting to risk his place in the compound, “anyway Happy’s waiting out front for you two.”
“Aw yeah.” Ned beamed happily at the thought of leaving soon, not that he didn’t like Mr Stark but he really wanted to go to this party.
“All right, chop chop you two, no dilly dallying around. You know Happy’s tolerance levels.” Tony ushered Peter and Ned out the door.
“Thanks for everything Mr S- uh I mean Tony.” Peter quickly corrected himself and Tony grinned from ear to ear at finally getting through to the kid, talk about stubborn.
“Yeah yeah I know, have fun! But not too much fun if ya know what I mean?” Tony gave a wonky grin and wink to Peter as Ned had already left and Peter poked his tongue out in disgust.
“Don’t do anything I would do! Or in fact don’t do anything I wouldn’t do either!” Tony called as he waved from the front porch as Peter slid into the back seat beside an excited Ned.
“Y’know he’s pretty cool.” Ned broke the uncomfortable silence in the car and Peter raised his eyebrows gesturing for Ned to ellaborate, “like he really cares about you and trusts you. It’s pretty cool man.”
“Yeah I guess so, I think he’s pretty cool.” Peter replied and shrugged, trying to satisfy Ned’s rambling. It seemed to work because he didn’t say anything for the rest of the ride there.
“What exactly is it that you’re going to?” Happy asked as he pulled up out the front of a large house, much bigger than Ned’s or Peter’s, with disco lights streaming out and music thumping through the walls and down the streets.
“A party.” Ned grinned and slapped his hat on his head to complete his Darth Vader costume. It looked pretty radical too.
“Well no shit but what I meant was-“ Happy furrowed his brow and struggled to look for words making it very amusing to Peter who was often teased about his pauses between sentences and constant stutters, “will there be drinking and drugs?” Happy eventually finished with a flustered look on his face.
“Aw you care.” Peter mocked and Happy scoffed, “I don’t think there will be but you know me. I couldn’t deal with that sort of stuff anyway with...y’know my abilities.” Peter gave a not-so-sly wink at the end of his sentence making Happy groan and point to the door.
“Just have fun kids.” He mumbled and Peter and Ned exchanged an excited glance before jumping out the car and standing on the sidewalk to examine the party.
The two teens stood out the front for a few minutes, just evaluating it and working out if they should chicken out or not. The music was so loud Peter was sure he would have a sensory overload when he got inside but he needed to do this. He just needed to. Ned, being the great friend he is, was just waiting until Peter felt ready.
“I’m good.” Peter eventually nodded with a loud breath and Ned lifted his mask to examine Peter’s face properly to make sure he wasn’t bluffing.
“You sure man?”
“Yeah I’m sure. Let’s go do this!” Peter grinned and led Ned into the heart of the party. There were loads of new faces, definitely not from Midtown, and so many different costumes. Peter and Ned had to hold hands to weave past the bouncing elbows and drinks spilling everywhere. He wasn’t sure if they were alcoholic or not but it sure did look like it.
After at least ten minutes of rounds around the house they finally spotted MJ talking to some cute looking boy from another smart school.
“Hey MJ!” Ned beamed and waved as he and Peter tumbled into her line of sight. Her face instantly lit up a little and she flicked them the middle finger with a smile as they drew nearer. Before they reached her, Peter noticed her shove the masked boy away quickly with a blush.
“Hey losers, what took ya so long?” She greeted in her typical dry tone and Peter shrugged while trying to focus on her voice and not every single other one within a hundred metres of this house. His head was starting to spin and heart pounding like a jackhammer in his chest but he breathed through it and focused on Ned and MJ’s breathing and heartbeats. It was comforting and grounding.
“There was a ton of traffic on the way here.” Ned yelled over the blaring music and constant chatter from around the house. MJ nodded and spun around to the drinks table behind her and handed Ned and Peter some kind of liquid in a plastic red party cup. They both exchanged a concerned glance before accepting and giving her a grateful smile knowing that neither of them would actually drink it. Not after the last time MJ convinced them to try her ‘masterpiece’.
The song suddenly changed and a booming, upbeat jam came on. Ned grinned and dragged his two friends onto the dance floor while they tried to break free of his grip. Once coming to terms with the fact that Ned wasn’t going to take no as an answer, a hesitant MJ and huffing Peter started to sway with the music along with their much too excited friend.
“I don’t like it.” MJ frowned at the jumping teens around her, wings, elbows and hats were being thrown around and shoved into one another as everyone danced to the song.
“You don’t like anything.” Peter pointed out while laughing and trying to ignore the growing throb in his forehead.
“I guess but I dislike this more than most things.” MJ shot daggers at Ned’s back who was talking to some girl in a red dress.
“Lighten up princess.” Peter chuckled and was nearly taken out by a drunk collapsing at his feet. The thud pounded in his ears on repeat, again and again. Soon it was taken over by his own pulse, drumming into his wrists and head.
“Shit you alright?” MJ asked, expression changing to sympathy for the first time ever, and Peter shook his head while taking it in his hands and stumbling through the crowd.
“I need air.” He mumbled, not really thinking that she couldn’t hear him. MJ tried to follow but was blocked by more people dancing and lost him in the crowd, she shrugged and assumed he wanted to be alone anyway.
Peter squeezed his eyes shut tight and slid down the wall of the hallway, dropping his head into his knees in an attempt to block the sound out a little. He focused on his breathing, in and out. His whole body felt dialled to eleven and the smallest touch of someone’s rough hand made him jump.
Peter looked up and his eyes locked with piercing blue ones. There was a tall teen, around his own age, with a sharp jawline and kind twinkle in his eye staring down at him. The sapphire blue eyes popped against the mix of blacks and reds from his devil costume and his dirty blonde curls fell loosely under the red devil horns on his head.
“‘M sorry man, I saw you were by yourself and wanted to check on ya. You alright?” The blue eyed boy had a kind tone to his voice which comforted Peter’s worries and he gave a short nod while biting his lip to stop it from trembling.
“I’m alright.” Peter croaked after the boy didn’t move. He had a soft gaze, not judging or unwelcome, but soft and comforting. The boys lips curved upright into a crooked grin and he gently offered his hand out.
“Wanna get some air?” The boy had a thick southern accent which made all of Peter’s insides melt. He felt the sounds around him fade away and calmed his breathing down while nodding and accepting the extended hand. The boy had a firm grip, his hand was rough and worn but grasped Peter’s gently as if he were made of glass and could break at the wrong touch.
The boy didn’t let go of Peter’s hand, just gestured his head to the front door and led Peter through the crowds of people and out into the cold night.
They walked for a few minutes in silence, still hands intertwined, which comforted Peter even more because he could feel the boy’s heartbeat thumping into his thumb which had been resting on the unknown teens wrist. They had been walking down along the footpath, the only sound was their feet crunching over the crystal like white snow littering the streets. Peter had been grateful that the other boy didn’t mention what happened back there, it would be much too difficult to explain it without exposing his identity.
“So what’s your name darl?” The blonde slipped his hand out of Peter’s and turned his head to face the brunette.
“Peter. Peter Parker.” Peter replied with a smile and could finally calm the buzzing in his head and look up from his feet. He felt the urge to grab the boy’s hand back but resisted knowing it would look odd.
“Peter.” The boy made a thinking face and pursed his lips before giving a friendly smile and adding, “I’m Harley Keener.”
“Where even are we?” Peter asked, moving past introductions knowing he would only make it awkward if he said something like ‘cool’ or ‘nice name’. The blonde, Harley, glanced up at the twinkling stars and breathed in the fresh night air.
“Well I didn’t originally have a plan because all I knew was you needed air.” He glanced down at Peter with a laugh in his eyes which made Peter’s stomach do flips.
“I- er yeah I- thank you.” Peter stammered and flushed a crimson, resembling the colour of Harley’s skin tight blouse.
“No problems.” Harley brushed off Peter’s nervousness and turned back to the sky, his eyes illuminating under its reflections and Peter literally saw stars in his eyes. His mouth grew dry and he didn’t know what to say, Harley smiled at his silence and looked ahead at the growing lights, “I ended up walking towards the new amusement park. Have you been?”
Peter shook his head and sighed, “No I’ve been really busy with school and...well other commitments and my friends are too chicken.”
Harley laughed and Peter instantly felt his breath hitch in his throat at the blondes angelic laugh. He was the definition of perfect. Everything about this new boy Harley was perfect, his perfect laugh, his perfect smile, perfect confidence and perfectly toned body.
“Well whaddaya say we go check it out?” Harley asked, southern accent drawling out with every word and Peter felt his entire face light up.
“Really? Would it even be open?” Peter frowned and then began to wonder if Harley meant breaking in and he knew he would be in lots of shit if Tony found out Peter, Spider-Man, had been breaking and entering just because he was with a cute boy. He would no doubt be grounded for life.
Harley seemed to notice the contortion on Peter’s face and laughed, “Hey don’t worry, it’s open I checked earlier because I was going to ditch the party anyway. You were just a bonus.”
Harley gave a flirty wink to Peter who felt his face heat up and he chuckled, “I’m a bonus? Why’s that?”
Harley frowned and glanced at Peter with his face scrunched up, Peter wanted to call the police because no one was allowed to be that cute when annoyed, no one.
“Seriously? That was such a good line and you just went all oblivious on me.” Harley laughed and Peter shrugged and felt his mouth open without permission,
“I’m sorry, I get nervous around cute boys.” He hadn’t realised he was actually saying it out loud until the words left his mouth and couldn’t be taken back, “fuck.”
“Cute boys eh?” Harley mocked and gave Peter a nudge in the shoulder while laughing. Peter felt his cheeks grow even hotter and knew they were most likely redder than Harley’s shirt now, lucky the night sky was like a blanket, covering and hiding all and any insecurities.
Harley didn’t say much after that but Peter didn’t mind, he was already nervous enough and didn’t want to have to talk much. They sat in a comfortable silence until they were standing outside of the buzzing amusement park. There were people bustling around with fairy floss and rides ten times as tall as the teens lining the sides of the large, dirt walkway.
“Wow.” Peter breathed out, in amazement and Harley smirked while they walked under the large clown archway,
“Wow indeed.”
The two began to wander in, avoiding getting lost in the crowd and Peter felt himself grinning for ear to ear and he couldn’t contain it. Harley was glancing up at all the rides and watching Peter get more and more excited the deeper they went in, until he spotted the one he’d been looking for.
“Let’s go to the haunted house!” Harley let his coolness fade away and looked just as excited as Peter had been while starting to make a break for the huge, cobwebbed building to the right of them.
“No way!” Peters jaw dropped and Harley stopped dead in his tracks to spin around,
“Don’t tell me you don’t like haunted houses.” Harley moaned and Peter scrunched his nose up in the most attractive way possible while letting out a laugh,
“What? No I love haunted houses, um I think? Well I’ve never actually been in one but it’s on my bucket list!” He skipped to keep up to Harley who let out a loud sigh and wrapped his arm around Peter’s shoulders.
“Good. I nearly had to leave you there, you’ll love it.” Harley smiled as they got closer and Peter saw the flicker of excitement a little boy had in his eyes. It was adorable.
“Cool, but I have one condition.” Peter stopped at the entrance ubruptly making Harley’s arm slip from his shoulders. Harley gave him a quizzical look and he grinned, “hold my hand if I get scared?”
Harley’s face twisted into a crooked grin and his eyes laughed, making Peter’s heart melt inside his chest again, “of course. Are you afraid of the dark?”
Peter bit his lip and shrugged, he honestly didn’t know anymore. When he was a boy he had been scared of the dark, his Uncle Ben had always been so gentle about it and always made sure he slept with a night light on. After Ben’s death, the fear of the dark and what lurked in it became worse, Yes Spider-Man worked in the dark but it was always different being Spider-Man to Peter Parker. He felt so much more exposed, vulnerable, when he was Peter and it brought back the little kid fear he never overcame.
Harley noticed the pause and Peter’s face grow a little darker so he gave a smile and reached his hand out to Peter’s. He clasped them together and Peter glanced down then back up at Harley and gave a small nod to say he was ready.
“If it’s too much, you’ll tell me won’t you darl?” Harley asked as he took the lead into the darkening hallway of the haunted house.
“Course.” Peter replied vaguely and felt Harley stop in front of him. Their hands were still together and the warmth from Harley was soaking into Peter’s shivering fingertips while he tried to make out the blonde’s thin figure ahead of him.
“Promise me.” Harley whispered and Peter felt him shift closer, Harley was gazing down into Peter’s chocolate brown eyes and searching for assurance while Peter was tracing his dark figure with his eyes.
“I promise.” Peter whispered back while looking up into Harley’s eyes. Harley gave a soft smile and spun back around to lead the way down the tunnel.
There were small jack o lanterns lighting the walls and giving an orange hazy glow onto Peter’s features as he took in the experience. It was definely more creepy than fighting bad guys in the middle of the night and that was saying something. Suddenly a loud creak from some contraption echoed in the fake wooden mine like hallway and Peter nearly jumped out of his skin. The hairs on his arms and back of his neck were standing up and his eyes were wide while his heart pounded in his chest.
“You alright?” Harley asked and turned to face Peter who swallowed and nodded quickly, “you’re a bad liar,” Harley laughed and gave Peter’s hand a squeeze.
“I’m alright, just freaky in here y’know?” Peter gave a half hearted laugh and allowed Harley to venture further into the maze of scary Halloween props. This was when he started to realise what the ‘trick’ in trick or treat meant.
As they turned the corner Peter caught a glimpse of the fake railway road on the floor in front of them but seconds after the lights flicked out suddenly. He held Harley’s hand like a lifeline and furrowed his brow while trying to make out the room in the pitch black.
The only sound in the room was Harley’s slow breathing and his heartbeat, thumping in rhythm to his own. Peter felt Harley shuffle across the floor a little and followed with their hands intertwined, he would admit the warmth of Harley’s fingers made it a little less scary.
“It’s alright, you doing okay Peter?” Harley whispered into the dark and Peter nodded while whispering a yes. They slowly stepped forward a few more steps until a loud clunk was heard and Harley’s hand was ripped away from Peter’s.
“Fuck.” Harley cursed into the darkness as he tripped over something on the floor and tried to look around for Peter. “Peter? You there?” Harley whispered and for the first time, started to feel a little scared.
“Harley? Where the fuck are- OW!” Peter started by whispering but it soon turned into a loud yell as he ran into something solid. A wall maybe? He couldn’t really tell.
“Hey hold still, I’ll find you. I just gotta-“ Harley assured gently as he pulled himself off the floor and squinted his eyes in the blackness, “talk to me Pete, I can’t find ya if I can hear ya.”
Harley heard a small snicker and moved towards it, “You aren’t from New York are you?” Peter asked into the darkness of the room and nearly had a heart attack when Harley whispered back from right in front of him.
“I’m from Tennessee, are you making fun of my accent Parker?” Harley smirked as he kneeled down to become eye level with the brunette in front of him. He couldn’t see him but he knew he was there.
Peter felt Harley’s warm breath on his face and his stomach started to grow butterflies at the closeness of their faces. Harley didn’t seem to mind because he dropped to his knees and leaned closer, “I’m not making fun of anyone.” Peter whispered with a smirk and Harley made a hum of disapproval.
“Well if you’re not making fun of it, then the only other reason would be that you find it attractive.” Harley bit his lip as he leaned even closer, his lips were just centimetres from Peter’s and if he moved any closer...
Peter felt his back push against the cold wall behind him yet he didn’t feel cold. He felt warmer than he had ever been before, he could feel Harley’s breath on his face as his own breath hitched in his throat and he whispered, “I can’t deny that one Keener.”
Harley waited for a few moments as he drew closer, he didn’t want to pressure him but when Peter didn’t pull back he closed the distance. As soon as his lips pressed against Peter’s he felt his heart flutter and body relax into Peter’s warmth.
Peter’s hands flew up in instinct and glided through Harley’s blonde hair, brushing the devil horns still neatly perched on the top of his head and Harley pushed his chest against Peter’s while leaning right into the kiss.
Harley pulled back to catch his breath and leaned his forehead against Peter’s while smiling and puffing. Peter felt his lips go numb from the pressure and was about to lean in again when the lights blared back on and lit up their sweaty faces.
Both boys grinned while glancing up at the lights then to one another, Harley now sitting on Peter’s lap as he sat against the wall where he fell. Harley glanced back into Peter’s glowing brown eyes and closed his own as he pushed his lips back against the brunette’s.

#7 - Halloween Parkner prompt, “What are you supposed to be?” “A mortician, obviously.” “Can you be a sexy mortician?”
Harley tapped his foot impatiently on the wooden flooring of the Stark lake house while he sat, slumped, into the plush couch. He heard a small snicker and looked up as Tony slid onto the couch beside him.
“You look good.” He gestured to the white shirt Harley was wearing with fake blood splattered across it. He had gone a little overboard with the blood but hey it was Halloween and he quite liked the outcome of his bloody hair and pale face.
“I see you didn’t want to join in on the festivities.” Harley chuckled while mirroring Tony’s gesture only to the billionaires suit which was in no way Halloween themed.
“I didn’t think I could pull off a zombie like you do.” Tony laughed again and Harley rolled his eyes while giving him a small shove to the shoulder.
“If you keep that judgement up we might just rethink taking Mo with us and you will be forced to put an outfit on.” Harley threatened with a grin making Tony groan and close his mouth.
Soon a small thump could be heard and Morgan came bounding down the stairs with Pepper in tow. She had a cute pink dress with a princess tiara and a huge smile on her face, “Har- Lee!” She yelled his name in two syllables, no one knew why but she just had always pronounced it like that, and leaped into his arms.
“Wow you look so beautiful Morguna.” Harley caught her as he jumped up from the couch and swung her around in his arms. Morgan giggled and slipped out of his grip to scrunch her face up at his shirt.
“Did you get hurt?” She asked innocently and pointed to the blood covering Harley’s was white shirt and previously blonde hair.
“No sweet, it’s for my costume.” Harley shook his head and she frowned making everyone in the room giggle.
“Why do you need blood for a costume? You could have come as a princess like me!” She suggested, getting more and more excited at the thought of dressing Harley up in a princess outfit.
“I could’ve couldn’t I?” Harley laughed and Tony cackled behind him at his daughter, now giving puppy eyes to Harley to change to a princess and he knew she definitely took after her father in the persuasive aspect but the puppy eyes? That was all Peter.
“What’s all the racket down here?” Peter asked as he skipped down the stairs, taking two at a time and grinning from ear to ear. Harley glanced up from Morgan who had ran into the kitchen after Pepper for her trick or treat bag.
Harley laughed at the long black draped coat over Peter’s shoulders and buttoned black shirt underneath while trying to work out what the hell he was. Peter padded over to is boyfriend with a smile, “you look like you’ve gotten into a car accident.”
“Who knows, maybe I did.” Harley grinned back and looked down at the slightly shorter brunette, “What are you supposed to be?”
Peter frowned and a pout grew on his lips, “a mortician, obviously.” He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world and Harley laughed while leaning in closer.
“Can you be a sexy mortician?” His lips were now inches from Peter’s and he could feel the shorter boy’s breath on his cheek.
“I thought that was a given.” Peter whispered back and leaned forwards to connect their lips. Harley smiled into the kiss and ran his hand through Peter’s hair while Peter did the same and covered his hands in the fake blood still wet in the blondes hair.
“Um would you keep it PG? There’s children around.” Tony ruined the moment, again, and strolled into the room with his hands on his hips and Morgan giggling at his side. Peter and Harley separated instantly, putting a good foot in between them and staring at the distruption.
“Har- Lee and Petey have been fondueing.” Tony couldn’t hold in the laughter at his daughters comment and his hands flew to his mouth. Peter blushed a deep red, challenging the colour in Harley’s hair and Harley sighed loudly,
“Couldn’t you have waited a minute, we were having a moment.”
“Nope, now you kids better get going or there will be no candy left.” Tony waved his hand and Peter tilted his head to the side in annoyance and trudged over to the door to pull his shoes on.
Harley raised his eyebrows at Tony who pulled him aside and gave him a stern look, “you’d better watch her carefully, no getting distracted by a certain brown haired boy and please keep it PG for her. I don’t need her seeing too much fondue.”
Harley cringed at Tony’s attempt at a Dad chat and nodded with a thumbs up, “you can trust us, we’ll protect her with our lives.”
Harley spun on his heel and followed the other two out of the lake house while Tony muttered, “well I hope that’s not necessary but thanks.”
Peter was in the passenger seat with Harley driving and Morgan in her car seat in the back. Morgan was happily playing with some dolls so Peter leaned towards Harley and lowered his voice to a hushed whisper, “what did Tony want?”
“Nothing much, just telling us to take care of Mo,” Harley shrugged and glanced at Peter who rolled his eyes then leaned over to give a peck on Harley’s cheek.
“Well I thought that was also a given.” Peter grinned and Harley let his lips curved upright while he kept his eyes on the road ahead of them, ready to scare the shit out of anyone whom they wanted candy from. It was going to be a fun night.

“Arguing” “Bickering”
“Oi Parker!”
“What do you want now?” Peter sighed while keeping his concentration on his web shooters on the lab bench in front of him.
“Parker! Where you at?” Moments later the voice came skipping into the lab along with a mop of blonde curls and laughing blue eyes. Peter ignored his entrance and muttered dryly,
“Yes Harley?”
“So I had this idea-“ Harley paused and jumped up onto the bench to sit beside Peter’s hands, “-that we could hack into the Iron Man armour and change all the names of the protocols.”
Peter lifted his head from staring intently at the webshooters in his hands and gave Harley a blank stare, “why?”
Harley rolled his eyes and pulled out his whiny voice, “oh c’mon! It’ll be fun, what if we could make them all embarrassing and we could totally get it done in a few hours.”
“Wait like the reconnaissance mode to sneaky boi and...” Peter’s face lit up and he trailed off while ideas flooded his mind. Harley beamed and leaned forwards to give him a peck on the forehead,
“Exactly like that, there’s my smart boyfriend.”
Peter ignored his comment and spun his chair around and rolled across to the bench across from him. Harley followed and pulled out a chair while Peter logged in to his laptop and began to start the process.
“He’s going to flip out.” Peter grinned after a few minutes of typing and Harley nodded while furiously typing away at his own computer and uploading it to a USB to transfer to Peter’s computer.
The two teens spent the next half hour working in silence, the odd comment every now and then, until FRIDAY announced that the Avengers needed to be assembled. Peter looked to the ceiling as she spoke, “Boss has requested your presence down on forty seventh, including suits.”
“What’s going on?” Harley asked as Peter jumped out of his chair and pulled his hoodie over his head and dropped it onto the dirty lab floor.
“There is a disturbance of some sort which Mister Strange has informed the Avengers of. I know nothing more.” FRIDAY told them sadly and Harley sighed and nodded while activating the nanotech armour for his Iron Lad suit in his watch. Peter let out a small chuckle knowing Tony would have specifically programmed FRIDAY to announce Stephen Strange as ‘Mister Strange’ rather than ‘Doctor Strange’.
“Well I guess we’d check it out then?” Peter commented when he had the entire Iron Spider suit covering his body and had scanned for malfunctions, Harley gave a quick nod and the two jumped out the building to head towards the danger.
As they neared Peter could hear the yells of civilians and his gut twisted at the thought of someone dangerous enough for Tony to ask for more help. Peter and Harley did tag along on missions and patrols often but it was a rare occurrence when Tony would ask for help when they weren’t there already. Something was wrong.
“Hey you alright?” Harley asked through the comms while glancing at Spider-Man flip over a building. He increased the thrusters and sped through the air towards the crime scene,
“I’m fine. Just a weird feeling about this y’know?”
“Like a spider feeling or...?” Harley asked, feeling nauseous that Peter’s senses were already warning him when they hadn’t even arrived yet.
“Not really sure yet.” Peter let out a sigh and prayed it was just nerves and not anything major.
“Okay well be safe alright?” Harley glanced back at the web slinging hero through his vibranium mask and swallowed the worry consuming his insides.
“I always am, make sure you’re safe too.”
Harley gave a small nod before rising higher into the air and diving towards the scene towards the visible Avengers and connecting to their frequency, “Join me to the hero chat FRI.”
FRIDAY did as he asked and soon the grunts of Avengers and bickering of Captain America and Iron Man filled the teens ears. He laughed and quickly blasted a falling piece of debris into millions of pieces of rubble when it nearly squashed the leaders of the team who were in yet another squabble.
“Hey guys, you might want to watch out, heard there’s a high chance of a meteor shower.” Harley snickered at his own joke and Peter rolled his eyes from where he was on the roof beside Hawkeye.
“Very funny Harles.”
“Alright what’s the go here?” Harley asked, changing to seriousness as he glanced at a hovering man who was around level with half the height of Stark Tower. He had a red glow around him and was flailing his arms around, summoning rocks and debris and throwing them at the Avengers and civilians.
“This guy stole the reality stone.” Black Widow groaned while picking herself up from the pile of rocks she had been thrown into.
“The reality stone?! Like the Aether!” Peter gasped and tried to hide the excitement in his voice. The reality stone had always been his favourite, he didn’t know why but he just found it interesting and had always wanted to see it in real life. Not on these circumstances but it was still cool.
“We can fangirl about it later, right now we need to get it back.” Clint rolled his eyes and shot an arrow at the villain who turned it into a cloud of golden sparkles with a grin. Peter nodded and jumped off the roof and swung down beside Tony.
“Alright well what’s the plan?” Peter asked and narrowed the lenses of his suit, Iron Man glanced at him and crossed his arms over his chest.
“Well I think that we should use his own tricks against him with Strange’s stone but Capsicle disagrees.” Tony pouted and Peter wanted so badly to slap himself in the face. Sometimes Tony was worse than Harley and Peter in terms of arguments, and that was saying something.
“Well we shouldn’t risk him getting yet another infinity stone!” Steve agreed and threw his arms up in annoyance. Tony opened his mouth to reply but Peter quickly lunged forwards and shoved him out the way of another chunk of rock hurtling at him from the snickering villain.
“Work your shit out! We can’t hold him off forever while you guys keep bickering!” Harley shouted and watched as Hulk jumped at the villain only to be thrown halfway across the city.
“Harles no offence but this isn’t bickering anymore, it’s arguing.” Peter pointed out and gave Iron Lad a smack to the back of his head before shooting a web and jumping into action.
“Don’t disagree with me darl, it’s bickering and you know it.” Harley smirked under his mask and took off the ground to help the blue and red hero out. Peter noticed Strange now on the roof beside Hawkeye and muttering something while Clint nodded and continued shooting useless arrows at the villain.
“It’s arguing, princess.” Peter shot back along with a web at the villain who snapped his fingers and it turned into a large pool of hot fudge. Peter plummeted down to the ground but quickly caught himself and swung up against another building.
“It’s bickering, Bambi.” Harley licked his lips and began furiously blasting the villain as Peter jumped on his other side and attempted to grab the stone wrapped around his neck.
“It’s arguing-“ Peter strained against the hands gripping his neck, “-love.”
The villain threw Peter down towards the ground again at a fast speed then turned to face Iron Lad who narrowed his eyes and lunged at him. Tony, somehow getting over his arguing-bickering with Cap, flew upwards and caught Spider-Man before he hit the ground.
“It’s bickering, dear.” Harley laughed before getting thrown into the wall of the building, he slid down but quickly hovered above the ground before falling to his death.
“It’s arguing-“ Peter coughed as Tony set him back on the ground and he started breathing again, he was definitely going to get a mark on his neck from that, “-sweet cheeks.”
Tony rolled his eyes and flipped his mask back over his face and took off to get back at the villain for throwing both his boys to their near deaths. Peter laughed weakly and stumbled for a minute while Harley pulled himself from the ground and scanned for any malfunctions in his suit.
“It’s bickering, hotness,” Harley took a breath while taking in the scene above him. Hulk had returned and was jumping at the villain while Strange disobeyed Steve’s recommendations and was using the time stone to attack the hovering man.
“It’s-“ Peter began but was cut off by Steve who threw his shield at the villain and crossed his arms over his chest beside Black Widow who looked ready to tear her brains out.
“Shut up! We get it! Now stop fighting!”
“Arguing.” Peter corrected and Harley scoffed quickly correcting Peter’s correction,
“Bickering.”
“You’re off the team if you ever say the word argue or bicker again. Got it?” Tony threatened from the sky, the comms crackled a little but the message was clear.
“Whatever blows your hair back.” Harley shrugged once he had fully caught his breath and took off the ground to help out.
“We need a name for this guy.” Peter stated, trying to change the conversation and mood of the comms. A chorus of ‘whatevers’ and ‘you do you kid’ were echoed throughout Peter’s ears except for Harley who obviously had to put his opinion in.
“I think he should be Dangerous Dan or the Stone Stealer.”
“That’s ridiculous babe, we should call him something cool like Red Death or Rocky Rick.” Peter argued back and Harley scoffed from his place in the sky.
“Rocky Rick?” Natasha echoed and Peter nodded while launching himself back into the fight.
“The Stone Stealer.” Harley said in a dreamy voice and Peter frowned while pressing his middle and ring finger to his palm, shooting a web at the villain who turned it to spaghetti and sent him falling, yet again, to the ground. Iron Lad saw his significant other in the state and quickly flew down to catch him, “You right sugar?”
Peter beamed from his position in Harley’s, Iron Lad’s, arms and nodded, “I’m fine now hon.”
“What is with the nicknames?!” Clint burst out through the comms making the teens laugh and shrug.
“I’ve heard that nicknames are cute.” Peter informed them as Harley lowered them to the ground with Peter still in his arms bridal style.
“Nah pet names are hot as fuck.” Harley corrected making Peter blush under his mask and laugh.
“Right.” Black Widow sarcastically agreed and watched as Strange overpowered the villain and he was sent plummeting through the sky. Harley set Peter on the ground and the two watched as the red glow disappeared from the villain and Tony snatched up the Aether or reality stone and Cap dealt with the man.
The police showed up and the man was sent for a lifetime in jail, obviously, and the Avengers headed on home to the compound. Harley and Peter went straight to the lab to dump their suits, knowing they needed modifications, and the rest of the Avengers disappeared into their rooms for rest or into the lounge to watch TV.
“I still think the Stone Stealer suits him best.” Harley teased as his suit disbanded and scuttled back into his watch, revealing the mess of blonde curls on his head and shit eating grin on his face.
“Nope, Red Death is way better but you’re too stubborn to admit it.” Peter popped the ‘p’ and his suit scattered across his body and back into his own silver watch which he unclipped from his wrist and set down on the lab bench. Harley spun around from the bench behind Peter and opened his mouth to speak but closed it when he saw the swelling and purple finger marks on Peter’s neck.
“Shit does this hurt?” Harley went into overprotective boyfriend mode and rushed to Peter’s aid while examining the bruising. Peter shrugged him off quickly and turned to face him,
“I’m fine baby.” Peter whispered and Harley sighed loudly while raking his hand through his messy hair. He looked back down at Peter who had a small smile on his lips and laughed, “what?” Peter asked with big brown eyes flickering with confusion.
“I told you pet names were hot.” Harley whispered and leaned in to close the gap between their lips. Peter smiled into the kiss, making it a little awkward but Harley was grinning too so neither minded.

Late Nights and Stolen Moments
It was getting late, or early neither of the teens were that sure anymore, on a Friday and Harley was sitting in his old Hilux watching the rain trickle down the scratched up windows. It had fogged up his view so he hadn’t noticed Peter return from his apartment until a loud rapping sound could he heard on the door.
“Took ya long enough,” a dripping wet Peter Parker moaned as he slipped into the passenger seat of Harley’s Ute when he unlocked the door.
“Sorry but you should have knocked louder.” Harley teased and turned the keys to start the engine. They had just spent the entire night, ever since school broke up, together just driving around New York and hanging out and had just had a quick stop at Peter’s house so he could grab a jacket.
“That’s not even funny, look I’m saturated now!ïżœïżœïżœ Peter whined and gestured to his floppy hair and dripping nose only making himself look cuter in the eyes of Harley Keener.
“You poor darl,” Harley mocked and ducked out of the way from Peter’s attempt at a slap and pulled out onto the road, “Ah can’t hit the driver.”
“That’s not fair,” Peter pouted and crossed his arms over his chest. Harley laughed and flicked the windscreen wipers on.
“It seems perfectly fair to me. Now where are we going?” Harley changed his sarcastic tone to questioning and Peter shrugged,
“How bout we get some food? I’m starving!”
“Sounds like a plan, I know this cool diner just out a bit. Maybe a fifteen minute drive in this rain and they do the best burgers in Manhattan.” Harley’s mouth watered at the memory of the crispy chips and flavoursome burger from the last time he visited.
“I could so do with a burger right now.” Peter felt his stomach rumble and blushed while Harley glued his eyes to the road, not wanting to risk any distractions for a crash.
They sat in silence for a few minutes, just listening to the scratchy radio and rain tumbling down on the metal roof until Harley began to slow in the traffic.
“Fucking hell.” Harley muttered at the car in front of him, beeping at the rest as it soon congested more and more vehicles.
“Hey, cool it. We’re not in a rush and plus that means you can take your eyes off the road for a moment.” Peter offered and leaned forwards as far as his seatbelt would allow, giving Harley a quick peck on the lips before slumping back into his seat and smiling at the moving traffic, “see?”
Harley was too stubborn to answer so he replied with a smile and gently pushed his foot back onto the accelerator to join the traffic.
The drive there wasn’t overly long and they avoided more traffic jams, Harley pulled up out the front of a small diner with retro lights beaming out into the night sky. He pushed the car door open with a creak and Peter joined him out the front of the shop.
“It’s cute.” Peter smiled and Harley wrapped his arm around Peter’s shoulders while leading him inside. The doorbell jingled as they entered and an older looking man, a little plump with a friendly smile beamed at Harley.
“Ah Harley! So good to see you again!” His voice was filled with pure happiness and excitement of Harley’s arrival and instantly spread to the two teens who beamed back.
“Hey Freddy, it’s nice to see you again too! You mind if we take a booth and get some dinner?” Harley asked and gestured to the red leather booth in the corner of the shop where he usually sat.
“Well it is open 24 hours ain’t it?” Freddy answered with a smile and rushed off to the kitchen to grab some menus while Harley ushered Peter into the booth.
“Do you come here often?” Peter asked once he had settled into one of the seats with Harley on the one pressed against the back wall. Harley nodded and grinned with a blush,
“My sister and I used to come here every time we visited New York and after she left and I moved to New York I just...fell into a habit of coming here.”
“Sounds pretty special.” Peter smiled at the fact that Harley wanted to share this sentimental place with him. It made his chest go warm and butterflies fly around in his stomach.
“It is, and I wanted to bring the most special person in my life here.” Peter cringed at Harley’s attempt of a pick up line and screwed up his face.
“Cute meaning but bad line, that was cringe.”
“Yeah I know.” Harley laughed while leaning across the table and bringing Peter in for another kiss, he pressed their lips together and felt the world around him melt away. That was until the sound of a throat being cleared made him tear away and look up to see Freddy extending the menus to him.
“No making out on my couch,” Freddy winced at the thought of it and Harley laughed while Peter blushed a bright red.
“Uhm thanks for the menus, we’ll keep it to hand holding hey?” Harley laughed while handing one of the menus to Peter and keeping the other for himself. Freddy nodded in approval and stalked off to finish off his cleaning jobs while Peter tried to recover from the crimson colour his cheeks had turned.
“Don’t mind him, we’re practically family so he’s cool.” Harley explained and Peter nodded while scanning over the menu for something to eat. It all sounded so good and he literally wanted to eat it all but he knew it would look a little sus if he orders everything, plus imagining the bill made him wince.
“So the burgers are good?” Peter asked with his head in the menu, he looked down when he felt a warmth on his hand resting on the table and saw Harley’s squeezing his own tightly. He grinned and squeezed back while Harley nodded and began to tell him about his favourite burger from here, his blue eyes twinkled with passion and Peter felt himself falling even more in love.
