On wednesday I went to watch newest Tarantino movie. It may not be one of my favorites but I liked it, though there were few scenes which were neceserilly long, but some of them were real gems. Cast were great, so as the music, and the plot twist was good 😄

Lately I didn't have much time to reblog something, do just a few words about Spiderman far from home, which I saw in cinema on 14th July. It was good entertainment and fun, Peter and MJ were cute, also Mysterio's visions were really well made and Jake was great as bad guy 😁

Today I went to see newest Men in black and it was real fun, great for summer season. The movie wasn’t so long but still time went by quite fast ‘cause there was something going on all the time. Tessa Thompon and Chris Hemsworth once again proved they’re great duo with good screen chemistry and I wouldn’t mind seeing them together in next film :D
It took me 20 years to find you. How many people can say that. You are the best kept secret in the universe. And I found you which makes me perfect for this job. You really think a black suit is going to solve all your problems. Hmm, no but it looks damn good on you.

I’ve read the book about three years ago or so but as far as I remember adaptation is very precise and I loved it <3 Such a pity there were only 6 episodes, they were fun, and narration by Frances McDormand was great. Also intro was well made, it reminded me of Monty Python a bit ;) Now about Crowley and Aziraphale - casting was brilliant, David and Michael were just like I imagined their characters. Rest of cast is great too, obviously :D I’m definiately buying it when dvd will be released.

I went to see Tolkien on thursday with warily expectation, I tried not to read reviews earlier ‘cause I didn’t want to adjust on anything. It was a good thing, I enjoyed the movie. Sure, there were few plot shortcuts but mostly at the beginning. I admit I haven’t read his biography but this movie motivated me to do so. I liked that the film wasn’t trying to be epic or spectacular, it showed Tolkien’s struggles through young age - his successes and faults, I’m glad they didn’t show him as some monument, just as talented man he was. I liked that Edith was an interesting character with a strong personality, who influenced Tolkien’s writing and it was shown in film. Also I appreciate that all characters behaved like people in their times would, which is not so common in movies with historical background, ‘cause sometimes actors even when dressed in period drama costumes behaves quite modernly. Actors fitted in suprisingly well in their characters, all of them, not only main roles. Music was very nice too, in some moments I had a feeling few of themes could be used as LoTR soundtrack as well. Probably I’ll watch this movie again after reading his bio to confront it, although right now it’s plain to see director and writers did a good reaserch. I know many people complained movie doesn’t show much how faith influenced him as well, but I think they showed it through relations with father Francis, who was a family friend and looked after John and his brother when they became orphans. I suppose creators wanted to show how much trauma from war, his friends and love for Edith inspired him to write. Also all the references to his works were subtle and spot on. Well, I guess it’s one of my longest post :D But seriously, if you’re a fan of Tolkien’s works go see this film, you shouldn’t be dissapointed :)

You probably noticed lately - from amount of gifs I liked - that I’ve watched series version of the movie What we do in the shadows. I started watching it when 9 episodes were released and I’m glad I did so, ‘cause I didn’t have to wait every week for another episode and could see few episodes at one time. I liked it as much as the movie, really like the humour and the cast were great, each of them has comedy vibe and the way they were looking at camera was hilarious. Can’t wait for second season :D
What We do in the Shadows has been renewed for a second season!

At first I planned to write some elaborate post about season 8 finale but then I thought there’s already so many texts about it, and most of them are saying how everyone’s dissapointed, so there’s no point in writing another one about it. I had this thought that screenwriters should write a guide about how to ruin finale of a good show, seriously, it’s like they forgot what they’ve written in past seasons. Like, what was the point of revealing Jon’s heritage if they didn’t do something about it, it just for the drama I suppose. Anyway, I feel quite sorry for the actors they had to play accordind such lousy writing which ruined not also their characters but also plot. They didn’t deserve it. I wonder how many spin-off’s they plan, hope they going to have better screenwriters :D
What emoji would you use to describe this season?

I don’t know how that happened I haven’t seen it earlier, it has Star Wars theme and it’s silly :D I liked all the references and fandom war between Star Wars and Star Trek fans, such fun :D
Greatest deed Luke Skywalker ever did was take down the Death Star, right? As far as I’m concerned, that’s what everybody needs. You need that one bad-ass thing that lets you live on forever, you know.

Okay, I haven't been posting for quite a while. In meantime I've watched Avengers Endgame - but wasn't do enthusiastic about it so much and didn't even feel to write something of this movie. I suppose I just got tired of it. When it comes to Game of thrones finale I'll write about it in few days time. But today I went to see John Wick 3 and it was fun :-D Sure, plot is not complicated and vengeance theme is qliche but that's kind of action movies which are more realistic than latest Fast and furious. Battle scenes are well made and Keanu Reeves fit this role good and he's beautiful so here it is 😉

I probably won’t be the first one to post this video but it has two things I love and they combine so good :D Florence’s voice is great for such ballad like songs, sometimes I have an impression that she time travelled to these times from middle ages or romanticism era, I think she would fit well in historical films.
It makes me so sad that it’s final season of Game of thrones and I can’t believe there’s only four episodes left. Second episode was very emotional, when Podrick started to sing Jenny of Oldstones it reminded me of Pippin’s song in Return of the king - both so melancholic and I guess it was a goodbye for some of the characters - which I’m not ready for yet :( Not when Arya and Gendry hooked up or Brienne was knighted by Jaime ;) Just seeing all of them in Winterfell - waiting and wondering which of them will survive - it sums up all the previous series and makes it breaking point for them, how they changed and how their fates will be.
Also I wouldn’t mind if Martin finished last two books of Songs of Fire and Ice, please and thank you :D

I probably wrote already that I’ve never read any comic book in my life, but when Iron man was released I kind of started to follow these movie adaptations. I like both DC and Marvel - maybe even DC bit more ‘cause they have Batman :D DCU movies have become lately bit dark so I suppose Shazam movie was made to lighten mood up and they did good. Trailers were promising and it looked like nice superhero film with lot of comedy but I wanted to wait till reviews comes out. Plot itself was ok, I had an impression that Mark Strong as super villian was kind of in the background there because movie was focused on Billy and siblings, mostly his relation with Freddy and how it changed him. If it wasn’t that Billy was chosen to be superhero, he would probably never bonded with new family. Young actors playing Billy and Freddy were really good and convincing, also I think Zachary Levi had no difficulties with playing this role :D This movie is so stupid - but in a good way ‘cause it’s so funny and I had really good time watching it, if you want to entertain yourself, go check it out. Spoiler alert - there were dramatic moments too :D

Today, with my cousin, I went to see Us, we really liked Get out and were curious about this one. Must admit Jordan Peele has quite an imagination, I don’t watch so much horror movies but I think this one is unique in its own genre ‘cause of plot for example. Also it’s got interesting psychological background which is nicely done and acted, it’s easy to empathize with characters and plot. Music was also well fitted and was building suspense and mood. For me it wasn’t a groundbreaking film, but definiately a good one, there’s some black humour too. it’s surely intense. I wonder what’s his next movie will be about :D

Since today is World Day of reading Tolkien’s it’s a great motivation to write 300th post on my tumblr. First book I’ve read from his works was Hobbit, there and back again, I was 13 years old then and really liked the story so when I found out there’s more from this writer about same universum, I had to read it. I’ve read Lord of the rings when I was 16 already, when the Fellowship of the ring came out and loved it even more <3 Through the years I’ve been on 3 LoTR marathons (both were with 3 extended versions so it last 12 hours :D) and started playing LoTRO (which I still do sometimes) Today I’ve downloaded also Tolkien’s biography by Humphrey Carpenter on my ebook reader so maybe I’ll manage to read it before the movie comes out, in my country it realeses on 14th June - over a month later than in the world :( Later when Hobbit was filmed I enjoyed it as well, but after seeing all 3 parts, it turned out I liked first one the most. Yesterday I was watching Return of the king during peeling apples for a cake - I usually turn on movies I like doing some home activities :D Take care all LoTR fans, and the others too :D

I really like short series, the one’s where there aren’t too many episodes so you don’t have to invest too much time to see it. Well, it wasn’t actually why I started it - because of reasons :P - but I was curious about it. Heard it’s good crime story based on Black Dahlia’s murderer and since it’s produced by Patty Jenkins who apparently took a liking for Chris Pine, so I decided to give it a shot. Mid sixties background seemed realistic, music was good too, so as plot itself. The actor who they have chosen to play George Holden was creepy as hell since the begining. When it comes to Fauna’s character I’m not sure what to say ‘cause her character irritated me - maybe she was supposed to be like that :D - but the actress played convincingly. I just don’t get why she was keep trying to involve in Hodel’s family matters while few people warned her about him already. I get that she was only 16 years old and wanted to know about her biological parents but seriously. Also actress who played role of Jimmy Lee was really good too. And of course I liked Jay’s character, drunk and notoriously troubled reporter/ex-soldier, he just fitted in role well, and together with Fauna they made quite good duo. Looks like the older he gets, more serious role he has, which is good :D By the way, I’m curious how writers of second Wonder woman movie are gonna explain Steve’s pressence there, in 80′s. Next post will be 300th so I’ll try to find something special <3
