Exactly people should stop comparing Xena to Supergirl, once upon a Time, Rizzoli and Isles. Xena is Not Queerbating, Xena is canon and the writers and creators made it to be Canon. Xena and Gabrielle actually kissed several times had baths together slept together raised children together and are soulmates and internal flames or twin flames. And several characters throughout the show called them girlfriends

Like Odin, Lucifer, and several other characters this is MAIN TEXT not subtext.

Supergirl, Once upon a Time ,Rizzoli & Isles never head moments were characters express love and kiss. People need to stop glorifying querbating and stop upholding queer-baited ships this is actually destructive and harmful.

People need to take their time and not get so invested into a characters that's claimed to be queer they need to wait for an episode that actually confirms the romance. Before hopping out the window and making tumblr post about characters that are not even Canon.

A lot of writers and a big studios use queerbaiting as a marketing scheme tactic if they have a character that's "queer" but never act out on the romantic whim the writers and studios have killed two birds and one stone keeping conservatives happy while gaining viewership, viewership is money and these writers in studios don't deserve it.

Some people always bring up the discussion that if Xena was made today Xena and Gabrielle's relationship would be more "open" and I beg to differ.

if Xena was made today it will be canceled with only two seasons, it will be deemed "woke" and people would have stupid online debates about how women weren't warriors and gay in ancient Greece etc. and the show will be riddled with stupid and obnoxious sex scenes exploiting them.

It's actually a good thing that xena came out in the 90s/2000s people weren't politically obsessed back then and were more open-minded and wanted to see something new than just a typical male hero and his damsel distress storyline all the time.

The writers had to play around and make creative ways to display affection in the earlier seasons but I say around season 2 after the quest kiss. the cat was pretty much out the bag and they didn't really hide it no more. season 6 was super gay. The whole rheingold trilogy and the sleeping Beauty kiss that Xena and Gabrielle had. Imagine if that came out today people would lose their minds and call it woke culture and say look how they ruin sleeping Beauty with all that "gay stuff".

And people love Xena Brendan Fraser dressed up as Xena on SNL. Xena was a character on The Simpsons, Xena was everywhere people appreciate her unique character structure and her relationship with Gabrielle if the show was made today people will call it woke and quickly discard it.

Xena Warrior Princess became a cult phenomenon and has had a long lasting impact on the queer community, especially during a time when LGBTQ+ representation in mainstream media was extremely limited.

Xena helped prove there was a passionate audience for queer-centered stories.

Xena stood out as a powerful, independent woman who defied gender roles.

Gabrielle transformed from a tagalong to a warrior and partner, representing character growth and female empowerment.

Their story normalized love and support between women, even when mainstream media wouldn’t and really still don't to this day.

Even till this day there hasn't been lesbian couple in media that compares to Xena and Gabrielle bond. It's truly a bond that last for ages

Also there hasn't been a queer fantasy-action series that has last long enough to with Good writing aka The wheel of time (ugh so boring)

Look I just want to make it clear I don't have the time to put into my tumbler like I do my YouTube I don't have the space or audience to talk about queer stuff on my YouTube. It's crazy to think we still haven't gotten another show like Xena since we've been promised with progression. It just feels like corporate marketing blurbs even shows like Agatha all along still doesn't compare to Xena warrior princess for one it was too goddamn short.
