Hey! I’m back with three more Power Puff Girls redesigns as promised. This time I draw older versions of their friends from Pokey Oaks Kindergarten, or at least the ones that have more relevance in my opinion. So for my reboot, Robin will volunteer at the same animal shelter as Bubbles. I also think Mike would be interested in literature, maybe become a writer someday. As for Mitch, no doubt that he’s the type who would skateboard in his teens. He and Buttercup would go skateboarding together and often challenge each other on their skills. Hey, sorry for the wait but here are my new redesigns for my version of The Power Puff Girls reboot. I decided to add more details in Professor and Ms. Keane’s clothing. As for Ms. Bellum, in my idea is that some time has passed so the Mayor most likely either retired or pass away and passed the leadership to his trusted secretary. What do you think? Feel free to let me know. Don’t worry I won’t be stopping there, there are so many other characters that I would love to redesign (at least the ones that matter to me) so stick around. Disney’s live action Snow White was complete disaster (not surprised honestly 😒). If you want to watch a real love story that feels like a fairytale then I highly recommend My Happy Marriage, a Netflix original anime with stunning animation, amazing characters, and a beautiful love story. My Happy Marriage is basically a Cinderella story that takes place in the Taisho era of Japan, it’s already on season two and I’m enjoying every minute of it. Meanwhile Snow White is failing both critically and financially for their terrible animation, poorly written script, and forced modernization of a beloved classic. So I’ve watched the trailer leak of the Power Puff Girls live action CW was planning (thank goodness they canceled it while they still can 😒). Even though the trailer looks awful, it gave me inspiration to create my own version of the Power Puff Girls all grown up and, like my Scooby Doo redesigns, I even gave each of the girl’s hopefully better personalities and traits. Power Puff Girls is my childhood and it’s sickening that CW was so close to being done dirty like that. I will be coming up with more Power Puff Girls related redesigns soon. My final redesign concept for Disney’s Wish! Every Disney couple has a dance scene together so of course Asha and Aster deserve one as well. In this scene the two waltz together while Aster uses his magic to fly, while dancing they will sing “At All Cost” together. Honestly, when I first listened to the movie version where Asha sings it with Magnifico I couldn’t help but think that the song sounds off, as if Asha is singing it to the wrong person. Then, when I hear the demo version of the song it all makes sense! “At All Cost” is meant to be a love song. Thank you so much for joining me on this journey. So here is another idea, I think in my version of Wish Asha is already King Magnifico’s apprentice. However, he barely gave her real lessons and Asha was treated more like a servant or an errand girl rather than a student. Once Asha learned of the king and queen’s evil plans Aster decided to actually teach her magic in order to defeat them (image 1). By the end of the movie Aster gifted Asha a beautiful gown to celebrate their victory (image 2). So what do you think of these ideas? Feel free to leave your comments below. Ever since the Renaissance era of Disney every couple learns something from each other, I want the same for these two love birds. So in my version of Wish, Aster is curious about the human world and Asha decides to show him around Rosas. Here is my rewrite of Asha’s first encounter with Aster (Star Boy). I also want to use what was in the official art book as well. Basically after Asha sang “This Wish” after learning of the king and queen draining and crushing the people’s wishes, like in the movie, the wishing star suddenly shines even brighter. The light then shoots down from the sky, narrowly crashing into her but ended up in the depths of the forest. The light then transforms into a bright humanoid figure (Aster) along with his little star (Lumi, Aster’s sidekick). At first Asha is startled but Aster assures her that he mean no harm, he then says that he comes down because he heard her wish. What do you think of Asha and Aster’s first meeting? Just finished this concept art of King Magnifico and Queen Amaya. So in my version of Wish Magnifico is still a powerful sorcerer but he’s not the only one in the kingdom who knows magic. In this reprise his wife Amaya also knows magic, in fact she is a witch who can cast spells and create potions. Magnifico’s personality is still gonna be somewhat the same, he is charming, charismatic, but has a huge ego that is skillfully kept from his people. Like in the movie Amaya is a kind and loving queen but in this revision that was a facade to cruel and wicked witch she truly is. So in my version of Wish Magnifico and Amaya are skilled at manipulation, they promise travelers from all over the world protection and a place to live in Rosas but in exchange for their wishes and once a month instead of just one wish being granted in the Wishing Ceremony it would be several, maybe around three or five. However, they only grant wishes they believe would benefit themselves. Like in the movie Magnifico drains the wishes to make himself stronger but at the same time it causes the person who gave him the wish to lose soul. Once Magnifico crushed the wish the person would fall into a sense of despair and depression which gives Amaya the advantage to use her manipulation magic and convince them to work for the king and queen like they are obligated to do so. This one is pretty difficult not only because of the background but I also can’t decide which anime couple to pick! In the end I managed to choose those three couples. Here is my redesign of King Magnifico and Queen Amaya. Not gonna lie but these took a lot of time and thought to work on. When I looked at Magnifico’s character design I couldn’t help but think it’s not evil enough and I also love the idea of a villain couple so I decided to fix that. Both of our royal couple’s designs look relatively the same but I’ve made a few adjustments and changes so that they look more villainous. I also gave Amaya a pet cat because every classic Disney villain needs an evil sidekick. So what do you think? Do you prefer the redesign or the movie version? Feel free to let me know. And lastly we have Asha’s grandfather Sabino. So here is my idea: Saba, despite his age, is a feisty old man, he is full of energy but sometimes has a tendency of straining himself and Asha and Sakina have to remind him to rest. Even so, Sabino loves to put a smile on everyone’s faces including his family. Despite losing his son, Saba is there for his daughter in law and grandchildren. One of his favorite hobbies is to tell crazy tales to his grandchildren, he also enjoys playing the mandolin. Whenever Asha feels down, her grandfather is always there to cheer her up.
