Unfortunately in my experience, this is only helpful when dealing with men, and is not prepared to deal with lesbians. 90% of the time, it just becomes a game of chicken until we inevitably get unmatched.(This also applies to enby's)

I find it so wild when people talk about how "tired they are of seeing their media become political". Like I get it, most people don't want to have to worry about the larger issues of the world, but at the same time... the best and most beloved media usually ends up becoming the ones that take real issues and concerns and say something about it. And it's not others that retroactively made them political, but the creators who are inspired by the real world and are able to enrich their stories through that.

Star Wars: Inspired by American imperialism and the Vietnam war.

Star Trek: depends on the series but each one are inspired by anti imperialist ideas.

Iron Man: anti war profiteering and weapon manufacturing.

One Piece: Inspired by our world's "pirate era" with the colonial empires of Europe, and the rebels and criminals that were pirates.

Spy X Family: A post war story about a spy trying to stop a right wing dictatorial government from coming to power cuz war fucking sucks.

All Cyberpunk Media: all anti corporations and unregulated tech and power.

DUNE: Inspired by America's colonization and exploitation of many indigenous groups in the Americas.

The Matrix: Inspired and represents the Trans/Queer experience.

Like you may not like people pointing out that your favorite media is political, but it was made that way, and was so rich because it said something important about the world. Whether you noticed it or not, you probably enjoyed it because of what the story was saying, you just couldn't fully process what the words meant. Like listening to a good song that has lyrics that you just can't quite make out until someone tells you what they are.

Whenever something mechanical breaks, I usually just take it apart and reassemble it and it gets back to working condition, although every time I lose at least one screw.

Went for a walk in the forest today and come across something I've never seen before.

One of the trees was able to speak. I tried communicating with it, but unfortunately all it did was shout slurs and declare "only two genders!" Repeatedly.

Writing Prompt

At the beginning of time, a spark of imagination gave birth to 3 gods. The first god feeling the endless void to be too boring, painted swirls of colours to light up the sky. The next god, inspired by the first, molded clumps of matter into planets and used the stars to harden them. The last god, feeling that everything was too still, sung life into the universe, making the planets dance in circles, and sprout life.

When humans eventually came into being, they realized that by mimicking the gods through what would be known as “art”, they could shape the world around them. Now, thousands of years later, there are many specialisations and variations of arts, and with each comes a rich history of people who have practiced and expanded the craft.

Something I find...not surprising but I guess interesting would be an appropriate word, is that I love discussing one piece with people, and I enjoy discussing politics with people....

BUT THEN SOMEHOW DISCUSSING THE POLITICS OF ONE PIECE ALWAYS BECOMES THE MOST PAINFUL SH*T IN THE WORLD!!!

Like politics is so tied to that series and Oda is very deliberate with his historical influences and yet every single time everyone starts shouting!

Anyways I just learn so much about the perception and intepertation of media through the one piece community and it's so fascinating.

Could I get some character desings help? I've been wanting to design a snowboarding witch character, but I can't figure out how they'd dress.

Like I don't just want to put a a classic long dress pointy hat gal on a snowboard, and Im not going for just an ice witch either.

More I want to mix the clothing aesthetics of a witch into the clothing style that you'd wear when snowboarding and I've been just stuck since everything from the shape and style is just completely opposite to each other.
