Greetings bugs and worms!
This comic is a little different than what I usually do but I worked real hard on it—Maybe I'll make more infographic stuff in the future this ended up being fun. Hope you learned something new :)
If you are still curious and want to learn more about OCD, you can visit the International OCD Foundation's website. I also recommend this amazing TED ED video "Starving The Monster", which was my first introduction to the disorder and this video by John Green about his own experience with OCD.
The IOCDF's website can also help you find support groups, therapy, and has lots of online guides and resources as well if you or a loved one is struggling with the disorder. It is very comprehensive!
Reblog to teach your followers about OCD
(But also not reblogging doesn't make you evil, silly goose)

Love is Strange #3
You made me coffee this morning and played with my fingertips the night before as I laid by your lap and circled your soft, golden ringlets in my fingers. How great things are, how content I am with you, how guilty I feel for wanting more, for wanting all of you.
I hate it. I hate how simple it is. I hate how desperately I want you. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.
I hate how much I love you. And I hate that you know that and that I can’t take it back and that I don’t want to.
I hate that you love me anyways, even though you don’t love me in those ways.
I hate that I love you. I love that I love you.
I love that you love me anyways, even though you don’t love me in those ways.
I love how much I love you. And I love that you know and that I can’t take it back and that I don’t want to.
I love it. I love how simple it is. I love how desperately I want you. I love it, I love it, I love it.
You asked me if I liked the coffee you made me. Our knees touch at the table, but quickly pull away. It was great, I told you. You asked if you could make it again tomorrow. Of course, I said.
Of course.

Book Review: Bright Young Women

Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll
Okay, I know I misspelled misogyny. OMG, I’m embarrassed, but I already merged all the layers on procreate before I noticed it, nooo! So, too late now. Back to it, I LOVED THIS BOOK! I literally read it in ONE DAY. I was chomping. This book is an excellent commentary on the sensationalization of serial killers in America and the incompetency and misogyny in the law enforcement investigations in these cases. Going with its message, they never give the killer in this story a name, they only refer to him as The Defendant. This book is about BADASS women working together to provide peace and justice for their friends who were also bright young women before their lives were cut short.
This book was phenomenal. I declare 5/5 ⭐️s! My first 5⭐️ read of 2024!

Book Review: When I was a Poet

My first read of 2024! A nice, short book of poems. It seemed to be a poetry book about poetry. Sort of a meta analysis of how poets perceive the world. This worked for me sometimes, but others it felt a little distanced and detracted from the very personal nature that living life is. But it had striking moments that absolutely left me breathless.
I declare 3/5 ⭐️s!
A good start to the reading year!

Love is Strange (#2)
I keep making things us. We.
We were talking about the future, our plans, the things we wish for, want for. And I kept saying “when we do” this or “in our” that and so on.
It’s embarrassing really. I can’t imagine my life without you. In fact, I’m starting to forget the way things were before.
I’m not even thinking about it all the time. It sneaks up on me. A creeping feeling that something else is there that I can’t quite see, but it’s right in front of me. And I’m oblivious until it’s too late and it’s already bit me.
That feeling came to me as we said goodnight tonight. I at one end of the couch, you at the other. Keeping on going way past our due. If only we could go on forever. But then what would make good morning all the more wonderful?
So we said goodnight, as we do every night.
Goodnight, my love.
Love, Theo

Love is Strange
For the past month or so, I have been trying very hard to fall out of love with someone who I love very dearly in a multitude of ways.
Nothing horrific or terrible happened between us. It was just plain honestly, which might actually be worse. But I’d rather live in a harsh reality than a rotting delusion.
I think the strange part about it all is how calm things are. The sea is still as far as the eye can see. We are even better friends.
But unfortunately I still love her.
But the funny thing about love is how quickly it can all change. Over the course of this month, the pedestal in my mind that she sat atop has softly landed. The truth that she does not love me back dulled the shimmer, little by little, as the truth set in. But I couldn’t be upset. She couldn’t help that part, as much as it was disappointing to me. As we continued to spend time together, afterwards, talking, this perfect image of the perfect way things could be faded away until I saw a real person in front of me.
A person with fears and flaws, someone who is deserving and capable of love, and though it might not be a love with me, there is a caring soul reaching out to mine, imperfect and astounding.
And unfortunately that makes me love her more.
Oh, damn.
Love, Theo

Books in Review 2023

This year, I read a total of 46 books! Wow!!
As someone currently in education, I feel like my academic brain is always turned on sometimes. Like I can’t get out of the work-work-work mentality, so by the time I get to the end of the day with my free time, it is as if my fun time is obligated. No longer my own, but something else that I also have to do.
But this year, I really focused on the stories that I wanted to read - the books that would transport me away. That was freedom.
As you can see, there is quite the eclectic mix. Some graphic novels (I LOVE the Heartstopper series), some horror, some poetry, some classics. Lots of plays. Some for fun, some for school, but I enjoyed them all the same (People, Places, and Things WRECKED me). But the thing that ties them together was that I enjoyed them (for the most part, when they aren’t destroying my heart with angst here and there).
So here’s to a new year of reading. Here’s to finding the joy in it again.
I wonder what adventures they will take me next.
Love, Theo
