Samar Elkhadour has been trying to get her daughter, Jana, out of Gaza, for the past several years. Jana was born with a severe degree of cerebral palsy and was living with Samar’s in-laws in Gaza. Samar was living in Canada and was trying to get her daughter to her as she dealt with Jana’s immigration process. Jana died on Jan. 8 – four days after her 13th birthday – in Gaza due to malnutrition and lack of medicine. 2 weeks later, Samar got the green light from the Canadian government to bring her.

these people just wanted to get food for their families, something as basic as flour, one of the things that the very core of humanity is built on, and israel used it as a trap to murder them in cold blood

evil is not enough of a word. there is not a word to describe what they are doing to palestine. they are bleeding her out, they are torturing her and crushing her and hoping that nothing is left to remember her by when they are done. how can anyone stand and watch what is being done with indifference? how can you watch this level of human suffering, this crime against life and feel nothing, do nothing

An enemy that bombs and uses white phosphorus against civilians doesn't know nor practice what your broken moral compass describes as "peace". Freedom was proven throughout history not to be achieved through kneeling and asking the oppressor to kindly stop. Freedom needs to be taken by force. Your little Utopian way of thinking doesn't work in the real world. Your feelings don't matter because you're not the one living under occupation. Your feelings don't matter because you're not one of the thousands of children who lost their limbs. You're not one of the children who became orphans due to this genocide. You're not the mother who lost her child to the carpet bombing. You're not the father carrying the remains of your child in plastic bags. You're not the newlywed woman who lost her husband. You're not the one at risk of either getting killed any second or losing your loved ones in the blink of an eye!

"Peace" is not really a thing you see during a live ethnic cleansing!

Currently thinking about jjk characters on tik tok despite having not been on tik tok in two years 🤣

I cannot be convinced that Nanami isnt on it. I feel he'd love using it to relax. He'd just be responsible about how long he's on for and only go on it off work hours. He's a lurker who has no videos or faved videos of his own

However i also love the idea of Gojo and the kids always trying to pull trends on him and he either a) has no idea thats whats happening or b) pretends he has no idea thats whats happening. His uninterested manner makes all the videos hilarious. They do a lot of "ask your gf/bf" and "ask your dad" ones to him. Yuji will be like "please do a tik tok with me 🥺" meanwhile Gojo and Nobara blantantly have the phone up and in his face constantly ("Nanami how often do you think about Rome?" *nanami turns a page in the book he's reading* "an adequate amount" "a 'adequate amount'?" "yes" "and that would be..." "a normal amount" "nanami. please.")

Gojo loves tik tok. Feel like he'd be on instagram more often though. He puts out tik toks like twice a week. You can find at least one of the kids or a coworker in 90% of his videos because he takes them as soon as he gets the idea to. He buys the sexy leggings and records everyone's reactions to it ("Gojo, why?" "Shoko you're no fun", "Gojo this is a school" "yes i am aware. Now do i look good or do i look great?", "i think you look good sensei!" "thank you Yuji!" "yeah, well i need brain bleach"). He'll do the relationship ones with whoever is sitting closest to, and the most popular ones are with Nanami (no, no, we're not dating. We're coworkers... why, did Nanami say something? Does he think im hot?)

All the kids dont do much. They're addicted but they dont have a lot of their own videos. Nobara has the most and its her and Yuji doing the dances or her commenting on celeb outfits. Fushiguro has one and its just a montage of Gojo making faces. Yuji also has a lot and its misc (flips, "put a finger down", reactions, etc) but Nobara has more bc she makes a lot of outfit roasting vids. Think Maki and Inomaki might have a couple out there as well

i think it's possible to feel several ways right now. to be horrifically disgusted and disappointed that the word ceasefire wasn't even considered. but to be excited and optimistic that the case is against the colonisers, that their reputation is smeared by international law, that the ball is rolling ever-steadily forwards. it's how i've felt for months. multiple feelings are possible, and i simply hope that what good happened today only accelerates
