Don’t judge a person from the outside, you don’t know what he or she is actually going through. Do good and be good, you may be the person that makes a difference in someone’s life you never thought of. Kind words and kind actions come a long way after all.

How to look after your mental health?
1. Talk about your feelings. It is important to talk about difficulties and getting help to overcome them.
2. Keep active, eat well, and sleep well. It is important to exercise, get the right amount of sleep, and eat food that will balance your physical health and mental health.
3. Drink sensibly as alcohol changes and effects your mood. You may experience feelings of loneliness and fear.
4. Keep in touch with those you care about. A simple phone call, text message, email, or coffee date can make life a whole lot better when the communication lines are open with the people closest to you.
5. Ask for help and take a break when you need to. Sometimes asking for help is better than trying to tackle battles in your own mind. An outside perspective will help analyze the situation from a different viewpoint. Taking breaks are very important because a few minutes of “me-time” can make a big difference.
6. Accept who you are and care for others. Be happy with being in your own shoes. You can make the best of your own life by being happy with who you are and caring for those that are important to you.

You can anonymously message/DM on tumblr, and your story will be safe. Please talk to someone if you need to and get the help that is important for your mental health.
Taking care of yourself and taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your body and physical health. In fact, it is more important to take care of your mental health and take action sooner rather than later.

There will always be times that things get out of focus, all you need to do is take a break and adjust your focus. When things get hard, you have to take a step back and breathe to evaluate how to tackle the problem.
It is easier said than done but time does heal and patience is virtue.

It’s not easy feeling a gut in your stomach, your heart racing at an uncontrollable speed, and your life feeling like its flashing in front your eyes. When all you want to do is sit up in a corner and hold yourself because no one else is there to hold you. A room full of people and yet somehow, you’re still alone? Many feel that too. Many feel that no one will understand what it is like to be in their shoes no matter how much it is explained. The world feels like its ending, like the clouds are going to fall over, like there’s no end to the road, like they’re falling into a pit. But who can help? No one. Who can be there? No one. They have to be there for themselves because no one except who goes through it is understanding.
They say you have to learn to cope with mental illness, they act like it is easy. They say to try a million things, but your mind is still not settling. They say you should breathe, you should listen to podcasts, meditate, listen to music, read others’ stories, take a nap, relax… but how can you do any of those things when you can’t even get a grasp of yourself. How can you do anything to calm yourself if you can’t even find the right outlet to find yourself.
So yes, there’s nothing worse than someone saying “just snap out of it” because if it were that easy, mental health would not be an illness.
