little kids make me laugh. i was at a party yesterday and a kid was there and she noticed that i have a long straight cut along the length of my thumb and asked about it, so i told her it was a cat scratch, almost healed, didn't hurt. and then she was sorta staring and touching it for a bit and went "you had bone surgery. because there were termites in your bones."

so i played along and went "oh man, i hope they got em all!" and she went "no. they put in more." lmao

I miss the world before AI image generation

Secondly, I also miss the world where AI image generation was just incoherent blobs and obvious fakes

Thirdly, I miss when I had a spark in my eye

Something I've noticed is that in online aspec spaces outside of tumblr, most of the creators are alloromantic asexuals with the occasional aroace while allosexual aromantics are almost unheard of. Do not get me wrong I think it is important to discuss the experiences of people who are asexual and not aromantic but I do find it disheartening that aromanticism still seems to be an afterthought to asexuality or a footnote in the overall discussion. I don't consider myself to be an actual activist whatsoever so take my words with a grain of salt but aromanticism deserves to be discussed as it's own thing by actual aromantics

If this ends up being a controversial post please note that I'm really just throwing my thoughts out there and not trying to be a trailblazer

As an aromantic who every so often mourns the fact they can't fall in love, I like to imagine that my soulmate is someone who was in a past life, or they were somehow erased from this existence.

While my mind can't remember them, or even fathom their existence which once meant everything to me, my soul does. And my soul can recognize there is no one that can fill the spot that was always only meant for them. It knows on a fundamental level that it is better to be single than to replace something that was never meant to be replaced.
