Friendly Advisories (A Good Omens AU)

Like, 2 years ago I made a post about them, but I’ve since given them both quite a bit of TLC. So here’s a small compilation of art of them from 2020 and 2021! And some (updated) info:

Carmichael Crowley, known by his friends (and, later, children) as Crowley, is a Principality who was stationed as a guard in Eden. One day he was scouting around, mingling with the humans, who seemed interested in a particular fruit. Not realizing this was indeed The Forbidden Fruit, he encouraged them to try it. After all was said and done, he was banished from Heaven, and had his magic for miracle work revoked. He still has some native power, and experiments with shapeshifting (currently, he’s adept at five different forms in addition to his human one!). Despite everything, he does his best to spread goodwill. He has a large flat full of sunshine and gorgeous houseplants. He occasionally adopts a child (or two), favoring children who would otherwise be in abusive situations. The Demon Leon is a demon from the lower rungs of Hell who has an uncanny penchant for the finer things in life, despite Hell’s gruff approach to things. He’s proud of the craft in his approach to temptations, and is unashamed to say that with just a little bit of care, Hell could be a place worth living in. Of course, the upper echelons of Hell don’t like that one bit, and once he starts convincing other low-level demons of the same, they give him a permanent position on Earth in an attempt to remove him from the equation. This, of course, does not work perfectly, as the very same demons who they send to check on him are actually on Leon’s side, and though no demon will admit friendship, Leon has many strong connections in Hell.

I finally did it! I finally made my own! More info under the cut!

Carmichael was a servant under the Archangel Michael until he fucked up and accidentally tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. When God found out, She sent Carmichael to Earth to "fix his mess," to which he's just like, "It's already out of my handsss!"

He started going by Crowley around 50 AD - "Carmichael's a bit too ... sucking-up-to-your-boss-ish."  As time went on, he started getting calls back to Heaven. Michael hates his modern look. It's unbecoming of an angel. He does not care one bit.

Leon is a lowly demon who is absolutely tired of Hell, and will not shut up about it. The other demons hate him for it, so when there came an opportunity to get him out of Hell via Eden, they punted him up there. "Be useful for once and make some trouble!" He had a flaming sword at the time which he promptly gave to Adam and Eve.

Leon has a temper, and when he's particularly angry, his lionfish barbs come out. They are capable of hurting humans and angels if he's not careful.

Crowley and Leon are impressed with each other and found solace in each other in the beginning. They spent a lot more time together because, really, no one was watching Leon and Crowley just didn't care.

Oh, and btw: Crowley's a rebellious little shit. No one but God Herself knows how for Heaven's sake he hasn't Fallen yet. Even Leon is a little like, "All I did was ask questions, and here YOU are ... being you."

Crowley's pet name for Leon is "doll" in lieu of "angel." Leon's is still "dear" or "dear boy."

Their individual interests remain the same.
