I've fallen way behind on sharing these, so let's get back on the case.

If you caught the previous posts, [here] and [here] you'll know what these are about. If not, you can catch up on those posts at your leisure, but the long and short is that in 2022 I set about posting a mix / selection each week over the course of the year. During that year I named them simply with numbers, so I'm updating them with fresh names and in some cases, new covers.

Back To The Disco (35) - This is a mix of edits of disco, funk and soul tunes.

In Natures Hands (34) - One of my own favourites from this year of mixes. This one is in the realms of ambient, abstract, spoken word and field recordings.

Living In Hues Of Blues (33) - A selection rather than a mix, this is a collection of music from various shades of Blues, mostly leaning into the soulful side of things.

Into The Ether - (32) - A selection of spiritual jazz, ambient and spoken word.

Shades 2 (31) - A selection of contemporary jazz music and a follow up selection to Shades 1.

Growth & Decay - (30) - Another mix from that year that I personally really liked. This is a selection of ambient, abstract, electronica and field recordings.

Following on from my previous post [HERE], I'm still going through the process of updating the mixes and selections I posted each week during 2022, something I was doing as a means to raise some funds for a charity that has been important to me. I won't bore you with the details, dig around and you'll find more if you want.

The following 10 links and brief descriptions relate to the images above and the mixes / selections, follow the links for the music....

Until The Sun Comes Up (45) - Deep and Jazzy House music, perfect for dancing until the sun comes up.

What Are We Doing? (44) - An eclectic selection, originally posted a few days after Ukraine was invaded. The music carries a message, so I renamed it and gave it a new cover to fit.

Under The Dancing Lights (43) - A mix of house, tech house and bordering into techno I suppose.

The Pale Blue Dot (42) - Referencing Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot, the music on this mix was made up entirely from releases that were put out by labels and artists as a means to raise funds for people impacted and displaced by the war in Ukraine. My tenuous link was that the pale blue dot reflects humanity, the speck in the vastness of space, the stupidity displayed by politicians and the sheep that follow them.

Sunshine Vibes (41) - Sunshine and Reggae are a great combination, and both help lift the mood, so it's a selection of reggae and a little bit of ska.

The Clouds Of Anhedonia (40) - Anhedonia: a psychological condition characterised by inability to experience pleasure in normally pleasurable acts.

Behind Closed Doors (39) - A mix of abstract, ambient and electronica. Nobody knows that happens behind closed doors, or inside your own thoughts. I thought the mix reflected that a little.

Bon Voyage (38) - The title and cover lean into the fact that this selection is what some would call 'yacht rock', or perhaps AOR. Whatever; it does go well with Mojitos.

What Happened To You? (37) - A selection of soul music from my record shelves, stuff that I love but would struggle to fit into a mix in a conventional sense.

(36) - The only mix from my 'Year of Music' series of selections / mixes that is keeping the simple numeric title. The reason being that all of the music on this mix comes from the artist 36.

If you've been around here long enough you may well already know these, if not then here's what they're about.

In 2022 I put together a mix every week for a year... tall order considering I was used to doing 3 or 4 in a year. The reason being I was raising funds for a charity that has been close to my heart. I'll spare you the details here, you can find that over on my own blog (mixamorphosis.com).

Below is a brief description and a link to each of the mixes / selections posted so far.

The Heliotropic Effect (46) - This is a selection of folk, neo folk, alt folk. Some really great music from my record shelves that wouldn't normally manage to be squeezed into 'mixes'.

Room To Breathe (47) - A mix of ambient, abstract and chillout tunes with some field recordings in there for good measure.

Shades (48) - A mix of contemporary jazz, nu-jazz, future jazz which is on the chilled out side of things. Some really great music from labels like Gondwana, Luaka Bop and Brownswood.

To Be Seen (49) - A laid back mix of ambient, abstract and contemporary jazz.

... No One Listens (50) - It may be true. I do it anyway. This is a mix of post rock, psychedelic, space rock and kosmiche.

An Esoteric Bridge (51) - An ambient and electronica mix. I actually really like this one because it feels like a bit of a journey squeezed into an hour.

In The Beginning (52) - This was the very first mix in the 'Year of Mixes' series. It's a chilled out mix but I restricted my choice of music in order to spell out the name of the charity I supported using the first letter of each artist. There's a better explanation on the link.

I'll try and remember to do another post when I've got a few more online.
