JUNE 2018 WEEKLY SPREADS
Instead of making one post for each of my weekly spreads in June, I have decided to compile them together like this. As you can see I kept up with the manga-theme up until the last week, when I was so sick of putting screen tone in my journal, and also eager to draw something. I absolutely loved my theme for June, and I might go back to screen tone sometime in the future.

JUNE 2018 SETUP
For June, I actually used something called screen-tone. Screen-tone is what is used in comics such as Japanese manga, to create texture, shading, and even backgrounds. The particular screen-tone I used was bought at Sekaido in Tokyo. Needless to say, the whole month of June was inspired by manga.
Materials used
- Sakura Pigma Micron pens in various sizes - Deleter screen-tone - Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen

WEEK 22
My last spread in May. I usually never split up weekly spreads even if half of the week is in a different month, but this time I did, since I’d split so many weeks this month anyway. I thought I should feature Usagi once more, even though she’s in the monthly spread. I even tried drawing Luna!
Materials used: - Monocle notebook - Galaxy washi tape - Tombow fudenosuke brush pen - Deleter Neopico markers - Sakura Pigma Micron fineliners - Muji .38 black pen

WEEK 21
I split week 21 into two separate spreads, since I wanted more room for writing down my thoughts. The first half of the week featured Sailor Mercury, and the second half featured Sailor Pluto. Sailor Pluto is so patient, and loving, she’s got a lot of good qualities I look up to. Sailor Mercury is the classic “smart girl”, which is why I never really liked the character. She didn’t have much personality besides “being smart”, sadly. I love her water powers though!
Materials used: - Copic multiliners - Various washi tapes (Masté, MT, etc.) - Deleter Neopico markers - Tombow dual brush pens - Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens - Post-it - Sarasa Clip in gold and silver

WEEK 20
Isn’t it weird that I absolutely love drawing some of the Sailor Warriors, but then I absolutely despise drawing others? I can never get Sailor Mars right, it just doesn’t work for me haha. I still managed to suffer through this week though, and I suppose it’s not my worst drawing. It just doesn’t look right to me :’)
Materials used: - Zebra Mildliner - Copic multiliners - Deleter Neopico markers - Tombow dual brush pens - Galaxy washi tape

WEEK 19
I split week 19 into two spreads. The first one features Sailor Venus in “civilian” clothing, while the second half of the week is dedicated to Sailor Jupiter. These are two characters from Sailor Moon whom I can really relate to, and I’m very happy with both of these spreads.
Materials used: - Tombow dual brush pens - Deleter Neopico markers - Post-it notes - Uni-pin fineliners - Stickers from PaperKumaCo

MAY TRACKERS
For May I only made two trackers, one for my mood, and one for how many steps I walked every day. These are the only things I care about tracking in my life haha. I really liked this circle set-up, it really captures the feeling of space, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I hate drawing Sailor Chibi Moon and Sailor Saturn, so I drew them in this spread so I wouldn’t have to draw them again this month lol.
Materials used: - Tombow dual brush pens - Deleter Neopico markers - Galaxy washi tape - Copic multiliners - Sarasa gold gel pen

MAY 2018
I am feeling a lot of feelings right now, as I have just handed in my Bachelor’s thesis, and will officially graduate university this weekend. What a ride it has been. I have studied in Japan and the US, and I’ve experienced so many things I never would’ve dreamed of experiencing before leaving Norway. This month is Sailor Moon themed, because the Sailor Warriors are awesome, and helped me stay strong and positive during these past few months. I am feeling so optimistic today!

2018 WEEK 17
Do you ever feel like you’re tired of everything you normally do? I sure felt that way as I sat down to make this weekly spread. I didn’t want to make a layout, sketch in pencil, use washi tape or stickers, or paint or draw something elaborate. So I simply grabbed some post-it notes and my .38 black pen and had a go at it. I found it to be a fun exercise, to just draw with my black pen and not worry too much about how it turned out. All in all I’m very happy with the result, and I’m ready for the new week now.
I got inspired by some doodles I found on Pinterest, and you can find my doodle inspiration board here.
Materials used: - pastel post-it notes (PostIt) - 0.38 black gel pen (MUJI)

Note
What type of watercolours do you use?
I’ve been using a Winsor & Newton set for a long time, but a few months ago I got a Sakura Koi set. I’ve been very happy with both! I recently also bought some gouache, but I haven’t used that in my journal yet. Really loving how the gouache turns out though, it’s really cool!

2018 WEEK 15
This layout is inspired by @a.freckle.a.day, who makes beautiful bullet journal spreads. I tried painting a fox with my watercolors, what do you think?

APRIL CALENDAR
This month’s calendar is a creative one. Strongly inspired by @ mydearsputnik (Instagram), I made it a circle with lines connecting the date with the event. I painted the bird on watercolor paper before cutting it in half (rip) and glueing it in my journal.
Materials used: • Sakura Koi watercolor set • Tombow Dual Brush Pen • Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen (soft) • Sakura Pigma Micron in various sizes
