a lil update

I know a big part of this blog for me was ‘friendly anonymity’ but I felt I owed you guys a little update because of where I’ve been, and the fact that it has not been here. I started this blog sometime in my last year of school so there was a probably expected gap in posts around exam season but around march of this year my mental health took an unexpected turn, yet in hindsight it makes perfect sense for it to take. I’m currently in the process of being diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder. It’s a disorder that is widely misunderstood and on the site of tumblr is shown absolutely terribly. People in the community know that a wide majority of those on tumblr see it almost as a game and it shows us in sometimes a harmful way. The disorder does have the shining light that are alters but there is also a part of it that is hellish to deal with. I’m very open to being asked questions about it if anyone would like to talk but I’ve decided for now I’m actually going to try invest myself in my writing for the sake of my mental health and keeping part of my identity. Things will go back to normal after this. Thank you for supporting me.
