Him too? Blocked. Damn.
Hello hi, coming with another announcement.
Don't take it as a callout since I bet most ttteblr veterans know today's guest of honour.
A blogger called post modern pre grouping has been bombarding both of my blogs with dm's. Most about JamesxEmily and ThomasxRosie. Giving them a benefit of the doubt I explained (over and over mind you) that these ships do not exist in my au. I recalled hearing that name before and finding their messages odd, I asked some friends who were in the fandom longer if they recognised the name.
That user allegedly harrassed young artists into drawing fetish art of the ships mentioned above. Which is absolutely unacceptable. I suggest anyone who gets dm'd by this person blocks them before things turn weird. And I wouldn't trust the mountains of self pitying posts littering their blog.

After the last message, the blogger was promptly blocked.

'A Meeting of Indignation'
SodorGust Day 24 - Meeting
[1965]
Henry stood outside the sheds, waiting as the workers went about their business. His fire had been lit, and the work crews were checking him over before his next train. James and Duck were bickering about something inconsequential, and Charlie was pestering him about … something.
“Is Edward doing alright?” BoCo asked, bringing everything to a halt.
Henry raised an eyebrow. Everyone had seen Edward struggling out of the big station that morning. The big green engine mulled it over. He and Edward didn’t always see eye to eye, but he’d never want to see something horrible happen to the blue engine.
“Edward’s a very capable engine.” Duck said, firmly.
“Did you see him straining?” Henry began, hesitantly.
“Positively painful.” James shuddered. “Like-”
“Just pathetic.” Gordon huffed. Every set of eyes snapped to him. “He should give up and be preserved before it’s too late.”
“Wh…” James only managed a small, shocked sound before Duck intervened.
“Shut up!!” He roared. “You’re all jealous! Edward’s-”
“I’m not agreeing with him!” James reproached. “Not after Edward chased me down the main line when I got sent off without a driver!”
“Edward has probably saved our railway once for every bolt on your body.” Emily said, coldly.
Everyone flinched at that - and not just because none of them had heard her arrive.
“You and he are both ancient.” Gordon said, as though he were discussing the weather. “It’s admirable to still want to work, but there comes a point in every engine’s life where they have to drop the fire for the last time.”
“Even you?” Emily snapped.
“Pfffff, perhaps eventually, but Edward’s time was back in the fifties. Weren’t his class withdrawn in the thirties? Perhaps there’s reason for that.”
As the engines bickered, their voices raising both in volume and in tone, Henry recalled Edward laughing about the time he’d been walled up in the tunnel. All the times Edward had sighed in dismay when he’d broken down. And how Edward had tried to act all nice when Henry had returned from Crewe.
As the rest of the engines came to Edward’s defense, Henry stayed quiet. He didn’t know where he stood with Edward, just that the blue engine had never once come to his defense, even after all he’d been through. He wasn’t going to say that Edward deserved to be taken out of service, but he wasn’t eager to yell at someone like Gordon on his behalf either.
He just hoped that things would be quieter in the shed come nightfall. He had an evening express to prepare for, and the weather looked as though it was about to turn British, as his driver had once said.
Whatever the case, he couldn’t help but feel that it would be a very trying evening.

The thing I remember most about this episode is the mad respect for Percy to not crash out, especially right here.

So what exactly gave you the idea to paint James red?
____🚂
"I hadn't done exactly right by James." Came an oddly solemn response from Sir Topham Hatt. "I was fully aware of his wooden brakes and the risk of them catching fire. I assured him I would have them replaced yet I set him to work on the railway not long after he arrived on the island anyway."

"...That crash of his could have been so much worse. He could have ended up in pieces and I felt quite ashamed of myself for not tending to the culprit of the problem sooner when I had all the means in my hands to do so. I thought it was only fair, I also hoped it would cheer him up, that James got to choose what color he would be once he was mended."

ooooo
CLOSED STARTER FOR @romancenights .
____🚂
It was winding down to be a quiet evening at Tidmouth Sheds.
One by one a colorful group of engines who wore their numbers with pride were backing up into each of their own berths from the turntable. And although it seemed that the machines were ready to call it in for the day, for it certainly had been a busy one for them, that simple fate wasn't meant to be. No sooner did they rest their wheels a small storm of curious chittering, cheeky teasing, light scolding, gentle worrying and prideful flaunting started to interrupt the brief silence.
But Sir Topham Hatt's engines weren't alone. For there was another presence near the sheds, not that any of them had been paying enough attention to realize there was a stranger.
But someone else adorned in a tophat certainly noticed.
There were sudden footsteps from behind, clashing into the gravel upon the approach, then a hand shot out. Planting itself firmly on the other's shoulder. An even but deep voice rang out, too, demanding with a touch of suspicion in tone.

"Is there a reason you are present upon railway property at this hour?"
