I love every last one of you!! Thank you so much for all the nice comments I've received on the game. It really makes me happy and motivated!! So I'm making this post to look at when I'm feeling frustrated, and keeping a collection of comments in a folder on my computer, too :D

Also, thanks to everyone who voted for the game! MR:RE has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 on GameJolt!! It's unbelievable! I'm so grateful and happy!! MR fans are the best fans!!!

You can now play as a special Pink Mustache cosplay set for Alex and Richard in Mustache Ride: Rainbow Edition on GameJolt!

In homage to the inspiration and encouragement I've found from watching Markiplier, I decided to make this special cosplay set.

Richard's shape looks very similar to Wilford Warfstache's iconic pink mustache, I decided to make just a hidden pink color for him at first. But as I was making it, I went ahead and drew glasses on Alex and changed her shirt color to look more like a Markiplier cosplay, too, and thus, this design was born.

TO PLAY WITH THIS SPECIAL COSPLAY:

Play the web version of the game on GameJolt (it is exclusive to this version for now!)

On the Pod Select screen (the one with blue background where you click which pod you want), type "nurse" (lowercase letters!)

If done properly, you will hear a chime.

Select Richard's Mustache Pod. Alex should now be in cosplay flying a pink Richard in the game!

To turn it off, just type 'nurse' again on the Pod Select screen. Each time you type it, it toggles the cosplay status.

While you're there, feel free to make an account and play on the leaderboards with everyone! It's a lot of fun! There's trophies to collect, too :) Perhaps later I will add a special trophy for playing with the cosplay skin on :)

Fixed some bugs on the GameJolt web version. No longer will negative scores top the leaderboard (and I deleted those scores which did!)

The "Mustache Pod With a View" achievement is now fixed so that it will unlock when you end a game at difficulty 20 or 21 (not just 21). 21 is possible, but much more difficult, and outside the scope of the trophy.

So far I've added:

Alex's Mustache Pods from Mustache Ride: Rainbow Edition (coming soon!)

Richard the Handlebar carries the beige pod that Alex has always owned. This is the only Mustache Pod available in the original version. Richard flies by flapping his whiskers to bounce the pod higher. Richard's pod has average navigational difficulty and normal scoring capability.

Leonard the English carries the brown pod. This pod is given to Alex by her friend Xandri after she becomes a little accustomed to riding. Leonard flies by spinning his whiskers like propellers, constantly moving the pod upward. Alex can stop the propellers to dip back downward. Leonard's pod has high navigational difficulty but great scoring capability.

DGS-050 the Horseshoe carries the metal pod. The details of how to obtain such a pod and mustache are a well-hidden secret. Only someone who has known about Mustache Pods for a long time may know about something like this. This pod ignores gravity and hovers in place while it is not being controlled, but has simplistic controls that make it only able to move the opposite direction that it moved last. DGS-050's pod has low navigational difficulty but poor scoring capability.

Creating the additional pods was a concept that was scrapped from the original game, but seems to be a highly-demanded feature. I really enjoyed creating them, and I hope you'll enjoy playing with them when the new version is out! I have all three programmed into the game currently and they are a blast!

Testing out a new Mustache Pod for the big update :) Yup, there's going to be new pods and play mechanics, a little new aesthetics, new mustache cards to collect, new cafe scenes, and more!

This pod is the English pod. The long whiskers regularly spin as propellers, which makes you fly up. You can hold down your finger to dive, though. You regularly accelerate, so you can't hold too long. This is definitely a control scheme more for experts!

I plan on rebalancing a bit since the movement is a little more sluggish -- while riding this difficult pod, wax will appear more often, and score multiplier will go up more quickly. Perhaps if you master it, it can lead to even higher scores!
