Current obsession: For the moment my brain is free of any specific obsessions, the PotO fic as well as some illustration projects take up too much energy to focus on anything else. I am sure though, in a day or two something might catch my fancy and hold my brain hostage for a while again XD

It’s almost as if nobody wants to admit that they might not be prepared to do the work it takes to love somebody. And it can be laborious. To be intimate with someone who is flawed (which is the standard) requires us to expose our own flaws. We don’t talk about the heavy responsibility of that. We don’t talk about how we’re too lazy or too cowardly sometimes. We instead accuse love of being elusive. It isn’t. It is omnipresent. It asks us to be better people. And sometimes we flat out refuse.

Elrond be like: I am 4/8 human, 3/8 elf, and 1/8 angel. My mother is a bird and my father is the planet Venus. My twin brother was the first king of Atlantis but somehow I seem to be more famous than him. I am one of three ringbearers, the other two being the female version of Feanor and a guy who loves fireworks. My foster father is a crazy homeless guy who likes music and his whole family is dead. My many-greats grandnephew is in love with my daughter. No one can tell my sons apart. I like waterfalls and am both a glorified innkeeper and a top-notch doctor. I am the voice of reason no one listens to.

Once again I have to appreciate that on Tumblr the most anticipated event of the year is a 6-month-long book club and/or listening party of the novel Dracula. Just regular old Dracula the actual novel not a retelling or a TV series just the unabridged novel itself

I love how in the Dracula Daily fandom, we don’t say that we are beginning once again on May 3rd.

Rather, we say “my dear friend Johnathan is preparing for his upcoming trip. I hope he has such a wonderful time and that he brings back some delicious recipes :)”

And I think that’s beautiful

Mentalist Trivia - Improvised Scenes

1x14 - 'There's no business like Cho business' is an adlib from Simon Baker

S1 - the conversation between Wayne and Grace about carrots and the bloopers of this scene is hilarious.

5x02 - when Charlotte (Dove Cameron) rolls her eyes at Jane (Simon) and he says don't roll your eyes at me

5x04 - Jane's handshake with the mob boss

5x14 - the poker scene that was gifed by @tmsource and @katebeckets

5x21 - when Robin hits Simon on the arm as she is driving and her smile immediately afterwards. He then mentions anger management classes

7x05 - the final scene when Jisbon are talking about their future plans. You can tell as Simon's accent slips into Aussie and he directed the episode so kept it in.

7x13 - the crazy dancing of the cast was scripted but the selfie between Cho, Rigsby and Van Pelt was an improv.
