Didn't get the job I interviewed for a couple weeks ago. Surprised? Not really, since anyone with experience in that job would be more qualified than me on paper. Still a bummer, though. Once again feeling like I'm going to be stuck in my current dead-end job forever. 😢

Practicing picture knitting for a project I plan to work on this fall.

Was going to try intarsia knitting, but I ended up doing sort of intarsia and fair isle combined. Or something.

In any event, it mostly worked out. The yarn I plan to use for the project this fall is thicker, so we'll see if it works out as well with that. I might adjust the chart a bit, too (although it turned out better than i expected, so I might leave it). We'll have to see.

In case anyone is curious, it's supposed to be the Hunter's Mark from Bloodborne. 😅

Finished knitting a blanket for my nephew as a graduation gift.

Used a variegated acrylic yarn and a diagonal stitch (that's really hard to see with this yarn, as it turns out 😅).

It's basically a large throw blanket (big enough to curl up and sleep under if you're short like me).

I like how it turned out, if I say so myself. I only screwed up the pattern in a few spots, and since the pattern is hard to see in the first place, it's even harder to see the mistakes.

This took me a few months (knitting in my free time, and when I wasn't working on socks for my sister lol). Someday, I'd like to get faster. Gotta remind myself that I'm still pretty new at this. 😅

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
