JUST A KISS

notes: this is for the mythos (@mythos-blogs) november collab! it’s a ‘the kissing booth’ au so <3 this movie is cheesy so therefore this is cheesy & no i will not apologize for it sorry not sorry.

your intentions were good, truly.

“of course atsumu will be there, duh.” you’d smiled as you stood in front of the student council. you felt it, the instant stiffening of osamu beside you, his tensing at your statement. “how could we have a kissing booth without the miya atsumu?”

“so, you’re saying his attendance is a guarantee then?” the president asked, a hopeful gleam in her eye as she stared at the two of you. “he’ll really be there?”

“yep,” you answer, ignoring osamu’s disbelieving glare aimed at the side of your head as you choke down the immediate dread bubbling in your gut. “he’ll really be there.”

and, okay, maybe you could’ve played it off as him cancelling well enough then, but you proceeded to drag yourself deeper and deeper in your little lie as a group of girls—popular, pretty, and all about everything blond miya related—asked you about his attendance. word got around fast in school apparently. another reason to hate the education system.

“we heard atsumu will be there,” one girl’d said, wide grin on her lips as she popped a bubble of gum. “if you still need us to do it then we will, as long as you promise to let us get our turn with him.”

“if you do this, you can have as many turns with him as you want,” you promise, fake smile on your lips.

osamu waited until they walked away then threw his arm over your shoulder, whistling low and long under his breath.

“we are so dead.”

“so dead,” you whined.

so, so dead.

you’d just wanted your booth to be a success! you and osamu needed it to work out well for your cooking club, the funds were running low and—just like all the other clubs in school—this was your way to cancel it out and get more money. a kissing booth was a great idea, but the way you’d ended up convincing others to joining it is now, decidedly, not.

“no, no way. you guys can’t be serious,” you hold your hands up defensively to the two girls standing in front of you, blindfold in their hand.

“oh we are, we just need a little break. we’ll be back asap. don’t worry!”

and you most certainly don’t like the tone she uses, or the smile that quirks up her lips, or the way she takes a step closer to you and suddenly before you know it there’s a blindfold covering your eyes and you’re being pushed around through curtains and you don’t have to see to feel all the eyes on you as you stumble out.

karma is such a bitch.

someone, though you’re not sure who, is actually kind enough to guide you to the little booth and you grip onto it once you’re in place. you hear a voice to your right and recognize it as suna barking a laugh at somebody. you assume it’s you and you pray to any and all gods above that he doesn’t have his phone out recording this.

(spoiler alert, he does).

there’s a nervousness twisting in your gut, winding you up as your knuckles turn nearly white on the stand. it’s a weird feeling, knowing people are watching you when you can’t see them. your heart is hammering in your chest and you really hate that you’re so nervous over something so silly. it’s not like you haven’t kissed anyone before, if anything this should be easy because you don’t have to worry about anything serious. just a dollar, a kiss, then they go.

a hand brushes yours and you jump, just barely, as you push out a nervous laugh. “uh hey. well, this is a little weird right?” you’re rambling, and you blame your nerves, because suddenly it’s finally crashing down on you what’s really happening. “i mean, i guess it isn’t too bad. it’s just a kiss, right? so it’s no big de—“

you don’t get to finish before a hand is sliding to cup the side of your neck and lips are pressing to yours.

this isn’t how you expected it to go. you’d expected—well, you’re not really sure what you expected. a single peck, a thank you maybe, perhaps the occasional nerds or freaks that tried to get a little handsy before someone helped you shove them off. something a little awkward, a little tense.

what you don’t expect is how soft the person’s lips are, how if you focus enough you can almost taste the mint on the lips from their chapstick. their hand is warm on your throat, thumb rubbing near inexistent circles into your skin that has a heat trickling it’s way all the way from your toes to the tips of your ears. you can smell their cologne, something sweet and oddly familiar in your nose. it’s dizzying, heart clenching (and most certainly not in the bad way) that has you almost wanting to chase after them as they pull away.

it’s against the rules of the booth, you know that, but your fingers find their way to your blindfold and tug.

you think that a part of you should’ve known, should have somehow known that the person you were locking lips with was miya atsumu. it’s obvious now, the entire familiarness of it. it’s blinding how you recognize it all instantly; the chapstick he always carries in his bag, the hands that always teasingly shove you and taunt you, the cologne that his clothes stay continuously drenched in. it’s obvious, it’s unnerving and, fuck, your eyes fall back to his lips.

for a second, a split second, your mind screams at you, yells and kicks and tries to remind you of rule number nine: you can’t date your best friend’s brother.

but as you find yourself leaning in again, crowd of peers and booth and money all momentarily forgotten as atsumu meets you halfway to slam your lips back together in a kiss twice as swooning as the first, you shove that thought as far away as you can and lock it up nice and tight.

because you aren’t dating miya atsumu, the twin brother of your best friend who you’ve known since birth. you’re not.

it’s just a kiss. that’s all.

A STAR BEHIND THE CAMERA

Pair: Daichi Sagawara x reader 

Genre: hurt/comfort

Word Count: 1.1k

Summary:  Daichi, an owner of a bookshop, hopes to have the same love story as the famous Anna Scott and William Thacker with you as his partner.  However, would that be possible if you are the kind of woman who reaches for big dreams far from him? 

A/n: Yes! I managed to finish it before the deadline lol.  This is a piece set in the Notting Hill movie.  This is for the @mythos-blogs​ nov collab.  I hope you guys like this lol.

Everyone knows the famous story of a famous actress visiting a small travel bookshop and meets the owner…then eventually that’s when the love story begins.  Everyone in Notting Hill and eventually around the world knows of this magnificent story the moment Anna Scott smiles at the great confession of the owner of the travel bookshop, William Thacker. 

It sure is nice to hear the story. Some would even envy their stories.  Some would hope to suddenly have an actor or actress just suddenly and smoothly enter their lives.  And most likely, Daichi Sawamura kind of hopes the same thing as well in a way.  He has his own…bookshop.  He manages it on his own.  He lives in a much less urbanized part of London as well. 

Though, for Daichi’s case, it isn’t exactly because he just wants to have the same story as this famous Anna and William.  He wants it because he thinks it is the only way he’ll even be able to make himself believe that the chapter he flipped isn’t over yet. And if it ever ended, the love story he heard was the only reason why he wants to believe that the next chapter is something with you rather than a chapter of moving on. 

You , his eventual closest friend. 

You, his one and only love of his life. 

You, the only sunshine he waits for as he just waits for customers in his small local shop. 

You, the person he wants to say “I like you” to.

You, the person he believed when the words “I’ll come back,” slipped through your lips. 

As so he heard about the story of William and the great actress, Anna Scott, months passed by that they cut off their communication and eventually some kind of fate pulled them back again in each other’s arms.  That part of that story is probably the one thing he hopes to have with you. 

At the night when you told him that you’ll be leaving, he sure does not want that goodbye as a symbol of what you two to just disappear.

“Given au” - Jujutsu Kaisen

“Suguru?”

You did not understand why Gojo told his name back then so you went along playfully and said “Hey i am y/n! But you said someone else’s name so i must be looking similar to them hahaha!” He didn’t say anything so you proceeded by asking him if he was Gojo Satoru. “I want to learn how to play guitar and a friend of mine told me to come see you. You are in a band, right?? So if you’re okay with this, would you like to teach me? I’d appreciate it.” At first he declined and told you he was busy. After all how could he stand being around you when you looked like him. Your long black hair, your skin, your eyes, the way you talk... But when you looked at him with puppy eyes he knew he was defeated so he accepted to teach you. Though you should’ve let him be when he first declined you, but again how could you know?

At first he was only teaching you twice a week, in an empty music clasroom, just for a couple of hours. You weren’t paying him, he didn’t accept it, but after the lessons you always bought him a coffee or dinner. By the time passed, you realized his cold attitude started to change; he was becoming more vibrant, he was making jokes. After three months he told you that his band mates wanted to meet you and you couldn’t be more happier. After all they were his close friends. A couple of days later he took you to where they practice as a band, it was a really small studio but it felt warm, home. They were two guitars and one drum at the band. Shoko, the bassist, introduced herself and ,the drummer, Nanami. She told you that they knew each other from high school and they used to have a singer. That was all she said. You sure were curious about that vocalist but you couldn’t asked, not when Gojo looked at Shoko with pleas in his eyes. After the casual introduction they started practicing and out of habit you started to hum to song. You didn’t realize when they stopped playing and actually were listening to you. And Nanami was the one who broke the silence. He asked you if you wanted to join the band as a vocalist. Of course at first you didn’t know what to say, you were only there as an audience. And you didn’t want to give an answer before talking to Gojo, you thought maybe he’d feel uncomfortable. But when he sensed your uneasiness, he encouraged you to join. Now that you look back to that memory, that was the moment you understood that you were in love with him.

Since you officialy joined the band, you started to see Gojo more often. Not that you were complaining but sometimes at the practice, you sensed his eyes watching you way differently than the other times. He wasn’t present at that moment, it was like he was reminiscing the past. But you didn’t want to think about that, you already knew that you were reminding them the former vocalist, Geto. Hell you didn’t even know what happenned to him or why did he leave the band, they only told you his name and he was with them in high school. But still you tried your best not to let his ghost effect you; you were always in time, you kept practicing guitar and tried to be useful somehow. And when one day Gojo asked you out, you knew all your work didn’t go in vain. You thought wrong. But you couldn’t know when he was smiling at you with the most sincere look you had ever seen on him.

When you were at the band practice, the band’s manager (Shoko’s close friend) came and said “Oh guys since you have a new vocalist i think its time for you to return to stages.” You couldn’t believe your ears at first beacuse you never did something like that before and you still had some insecurities about being good enough for the band. And it didn’t help when manager said that you had to be ready in two months. The other members asked if you were okay with it and ofc you said yes, you couldn’t say no to Gojo’s eyes. Especially when you hadn’t seen them that brigth for a time. After all the debating on the song the band decided on an original song. Which Gojo would write the notes and you would write the words. You didn’t practice anymore that day and went drinking to celebrate the news. Everything was going well, Gojo and you danced, laughed and to be honest you had hell of a great night. Until Gojo was drunk enough to started talking about Geto. You were happy that he had enough trust to talk to you about him. But except for Gojo, since Shoko was gone by this point, Nanami was not happy. He tried to stop him from talking but you said “Oh let him talk please, i’ve been waiting for him to open up to me for so long. And of course if its okay for you too?” He didn’t say anything. He knew you were learn the truths eventually so he said “Go on, Gojo.” Gojo started:

“You know Geto and i were lovers since high school until last year. He was a loner at first but when we started dating he opened up to Nanamin and Shoko. Oh btw we had a band in high school too so almost everyday we had practices. Anyways after he got close with them too, he started coming to watch us practice. We were lacking a vocalist so we, jokingly, gave him the microphone. We weren’t expecting anything because he never said anything about singing and all. But, oh my god, his voice was angelic, beautiful, soothing. At that moment i fell for him more. After that practice we made him join the band and we were finally complete. We were having the best time. Our relationship were doing good, the band was great. I mean of course we had our ups and downs, its okay to have them. But last year, oh man do i wanna talk about this? Do you wanna listen more?” He asked and you, while ignoring Nanami’s pitiful eyes, told him to continue. “Oh if you wanna listen so bad~. Where were we? Oh our last fight, yeah. To be honest i still don’t remember the cause of our fight but it was bad, really bad. There were screams, tears, swears, throwing shits and all the fucked up things.” He was already crying at this point so you waited for him to catch his breath. You wanted to know more even though it was agonizing enough for you. After some time he picked up where he left. “I told him that if he loved me enough, he should kill himself. I didn’t mean it that way, i promise, i didn’t actually want him dead. I was just so overwhelmed with the fight so all i wanted was to stop. If i knew these would be the last words i told him, i wouldn’t say them. I promise i wouldn’t, i loved him so much. I think i still love him. How can i forget him? When you are standing here looking like him, talking like him, singing like him. Smiling like him, loving me the way he loved me, looking me the same way he looked at me. Kissing me with the same passion like him. And i know i can’t keep being with you when i still see him, chasing him, loving him. But fuck, you love me so good that all i wanna do is keep you for myself and sparing you from the painful truth. And you know, if i try hard i can love you too? Like how i loved him. I have to tell you this though, sometimes it is very hard for me to look at you. Especially when you are singing so forgive me for the times i acted distant. Ugh anyways im tired after all the soul pouring hehe~. Oh man i am sleepy and my head hurts too. Baby will you take me to my house and cuddle me?” He asked you with red eyes. He didn’t realize that you were holding back the tears, how your eyes were burning and how he crushed your heart. But you couldn’t say no to him, again. How could you when he was so much in pain. And it was easier to ignore your own so you accepted. Of course the gentleman Nanami is, asked you if you were actually okay with it. You just thanked him. While on your way to Gojo’s house, the first thing you thought was how could Shoko and Nanami kept this from you. Had not they known how much this would hurt you? Anyways, you thought, these were all enough for a night. You stared at the roads while ignoring your pain. You wanted to think, as the time passed maybe this would all pass too. They didn’t.

When you came to Gojo’s you took his clothes off, gave him painkillers and basically took care of him. When he was ready for bed he asked you to cuddle him. You didn’t want to but you said “Yes, of course baby. Scoot over.” The time you seated beside him, he was doozing off already. The exhaustion hit you too and you went to sleep with tears in your eyes. When he woke up though, you were already awake scrolling through your phone. “Y/n, sweetie, good morning. Last night was a blast, at least the parts i remember heh~. So i have to make sure i didn’t say anything weird when i was drunk hehe.” You were speechless; you tried so hard to stay composed, to say nothing about last night. So you shook your head and told him not to worry. Then you heard him saying i love you and you returned it with a smile. But he didn’t notice the tears in your eyes. He didn’t notice how distant you were to him all morning. He didn’t even question when you took your clothes. He didn’t realize how you were in an hurry to go back to your place. Before leaving Gojo’s, you took a last look at the place where you once called it your real home. You were feeling hollow and there was no way to fill the gap.

The first time you saw Nanami, you made him promise to you that he wouldn’t say a thing to anyone about that night. He had no choice but to promise. He asked you why you were still with him, with them. You told him that you didn’t want the concert to go in vain. You saw it as an oppurtinity for you to made your feelings clear to Gojo. And you knew breaking up with him that time wouldn’t do good to the band. Nanami couldn’t say anything, he knew that was the logical thing to do.

That two months you weren’t acting the same way like before and you tried your best not to make Gojo suspect anything. But one day he asked why you became distant towards him and you simply answered by saying that you were stressed for the upcoming concert. There were only two weeks left and you still couldn’t write anything. And since he knew that, he didn’t question you further.

The day of the concert finally came. You were going voice your feelings, made Gojo aware of your true state. And you wanted to surprise him on stage so thats why you never shared them the lyrics. Thats why they were still uneasy about not knowing the words. But you wanted from them to put their trust in you, like they first wanted you on the band. You kissed Gojo for the last time, you hugged him tightly for the last time. Because even though you would see him after the concert, you knew you wouldn’t be able to touch him, feel him like that anymore. You stared at his ocean eyes for an eternity. You savour each color, you memorized every curve of his face. Then you smiled sweetly, kissed him again and went to the stage. Something uneasy settled in him. But he decided that it was nothing and he was exaggerating. He knew that you were going to go back to your old self once this night passed. Or he thought he knew. Once you were ready on stage; lights were turned on, the crowd was restless so you sang.

Whatever you left behind, became my everything

You didn’t realize you were crying until the last part. But you couldn’t stop your tears knewing what you went through, what they went through. You always thought Geto was the ghost that had been covering your light. But when Gojo poured his heart out that night, you understood how wrong you were. It was actually you that stood between them. And you knew it wasn’t your place to voice their story but you couldn’t hold it in your heart anymore. It was painful for you to write but while singing you felt relaxed, it felt like you finally accepted the truth. The truth that made you witness the bitter story of two lovers, how they were torn apart even though they were always together. One of them loved so much, even more than his life. The other one loved so much that he was still chasing him, calling him, crying for him. And you loved Gojo so much that after all the heartbreak you went through, you still wanted to help him. That was why you wrote this song; to let him say his goodbye, to let him say his last apologies. You wished nothing but the best for him. When you heard him play the last note wrong, you knew that he finally understood your feelings. As the last notes were played, the crowd went crazy as they chanted “again, again, again!” But you couldn’t go for a second round, your heart wouldn’t take it anymore.

As you left the stage you heard Gojo ran after you. Just when you felt Gojo’s grip on you, you couldn’t hold back the tears. You let him hold you for the last time. You spent another minutes in his hug as he parted from you. Nanami and Shoko weren’t expecting you to come back but Gojo had to go. He told you to wait for him and he promised that he had an explanation for all of this. But you didn’t want him to explain himself, it would be unfair of you to want this from him. You told him that you were going to go another college and that was your final choice. He attempted to hug you for the last time but you backed away. You saw the hurt in his eyes but you couldn’t do this to yourself anymore. You squeezed his hand for the last time as you were giving your biggest smile ever. You knew he didn’t mean this to happen but it was too much for you to be around him. You saw the grateful tears in his eyes as you walked away from him, forever.

As Nia and I have already said in the November Fresh Batch welcome, there are a few changes that will be implemented due to our conflicting schedules and real world work load.

[ 01 ] For new members, the Carousel Wall and Members Page have been updated to include you! You can now check up on certain fandoms, to writers and artists. Or if you’re like me who finds that Carousel Wall ridiculously entertaining, have at it too!

If there are any new changes you would like to apply, please do message us now or forever hold your peace. heh. If you want a refresher, please check the rules and guidelines on how our little network functions.

Welcome to TAHONET!

[ 02 ] For old members, have fun meeting some new blood! We’ve got some new fandoms too~

[ 03 ] Applications will now be open without a window, meaning you can apply without waiting for the next month. With the admins’ busy schedules, we have decided to keep applications open until further notice.

What does that mean for Fresh Batches? New members will still be announced every month or on a certain quota of applicants. This way, we can compile and function better (and hopefully smoother) as a network.

can you join the collab if you aren't in the server? also is their an age limit on the collab (eg 16+) like the discord server?

Hello! Yes, ofc you can definitely join the collab! Just tell us your claimed character and movie/series then we can add you to the list.

You can join Mythos regardless of age! However, to access 18+ channels we have to get your ID verified first (everything can be blacked out as long as we see your date of birth). If you're interested in joining here's the link to our server. We are more than happy to have you in our world, sweetie.

—You may claim your characters and movies/series from September 17 to November 15.

—Pieces should be done on/or before NOVEMBER 15. Be sure to tag @mythos-blogs so we can put it in the masterlist.

—You may choose from any movie and/or series with the genre of your choice.

— It doesn’t have to be by verbatim, but the fic or art must have the general gist of the movie.

—Choosing from ANY FANDOMS is allowed. However, the selection of characters, movies and/or series, are first come first serve.

—There is a limit of x3 fics/art for one character, in hopes that we can have a good selection. However, repetition of movies/series are not allowed.

—OCs, Standalone characters, and x reader/self-inserts are allowed.

—It doesn’t matter which timeline or part for as long as the fic is still connected to your selected movie/series.

—Writing pieces should be written with a minimum of 500 words.

—SFW, NSFW and SUGGESTIVE are allowed for as long as proper tags are indicated.

—Inform the Mods if you’ll be posting an NSFW art/writing.

—Collaboration of art and writing is allowed as well, just be sure to inform the Olympians.

—You may reach out to the mods if you have questions regarding the collab!

— The server is open for all new members if you wish to join!
