This is exactly why I hope Sage shows up in the comics.

I know Belle technically got her closure when she confronted Eggman (don’t remember for sure but it might have been in the issue 50 stuff, possibly earlier) but it would still be hard.

Alternatively, Belle being like a step-sister to Sage could be an interesting avenue to explore.

Yeah Eggman having Sage as his new daughter is great and all but what about Belle!

These sorts of days/weeks happen on a regular basis.

I need you all to consider that Lois Lane at any given point is hanging on by a thread, she’s had like 15 coffees, she’s gotten into at least two fistfights, verbally knocked down like five douchebags, has one article due in 15 minutes and like three others in a few hours, spell check has failed her again, the internet has fucked off five separate times as she’s doing research, she’s not sure if she’s got ADD or the caffeine is hitting her too strongly, she speaks several languages to varying degrees of fluency so she might be mixing up languages again, she’s not sure what letters are supposed to look like at this point and is too afraid to ask, in between Superman saves Clark has had to talk her down from no less than three other fist fights, including fist fighting God and the United States Congress, absolutely nobody is sure how she’s won awards for her work including her, Lana has had to physically remove her from her computer on numerous occasions, because Jimmy is too afraid to tell Lois to go the fuck to sleep and Clark is busy literally and metaphorically putting out fires and Lana Lang does not fear death by Lois Lane.

And its only Wednesday.

Marinette looked up at those words, cautious as she made eye contact with Chat Noir. The wet rag in her hands begun to warm up as she placed it on his open wound, but even still she was sure the sensation passing over on her cheeks rivaled it.

“I haven’t?” she finally asks him, hands stilling as she held the rag in place. Chat winced a bit as the pressure, but didn’t waver as he continued, pushing through. Marinette was sure it was his way of passing time and to lessen the pain, and as long as he cooperated while she tended to his injuries, she was more than willing to listen in.

Even while the topic moved towards an area she wasn’t so fond of.

“You’re still here for me, patching me up after every little bump and scratch I get,” he says, moving his uninjured arm to gesture at his weak one, then a move for the bowl on the floor that awaited added ingredients.

“A gash in your arm is hardly a ‘little scratch’, Chat,” she says, scoffing.

“It’s a lot better sounding though, don’t you think?”

Marinette pressed down a bit harder, watching him flinch. “Maybe if you want to walk away with scars, kitty.”

“Under your hands, I doubt it.”

“Well,” she says, reaching behind her to pick up a piece of paper, “that’s if I can still do this right.”
